No full textIl volume riporta una serie di conversazioni radiofoniche tenute nel 1960 dal giovane Renzo De Felice su L'idea d'Europa e su L'opinione pubblica internazionale e l'Unità d'Italia.
A differenza di molti altri (e allora ben più qualificati) storici che si alternarono ai microfoni della radio per trasmissioni su temi già oggetto di loro precedenti studi, De Felice ancora lontano dall'insegnamento universitario, affronta in queste conversazioni temi che non avrebbe più affrontato nella sua vasta produzione storiografica, e che dunque costituiscono inediti giovanili, pregiati nella loro forma piana, divulgativa, diretta ad un pubblico ben più vasto dei lettori di riviste accademiche.
Paolo Simoncelli nell'Introduzione lamenta polemicamente la malaugurata, casuale coincidenza di questa edizione con la retorica grancassa istituzionale del prossimo centocinquantenario dell'Unità; e ricorda l'itinerario del giovane De Felice alle prese, in quell'anno, con i problemi d'una difficile esistenza dopo essere uscito dal Pci nel 1956 ed aver abbandonato la storiografia gramsciana sul Risorgimento, utilizzata come corrosiva critica contro una tradizione risorgimentale politicamente e culturalmente coesiva dello "Stato borghese". Un mix di inediti e polemiche tra cultura e politica.The important finding of texts written by De Felice concerning the Unification of Italy and the history of Europe enables to extend the investigation/study on the Italian political historiography of this postwar period. It also permits to analyze /make possible analyzing/ the development of studies of leading historians (such as De Felice, Cantimori, Saitta, Romeo) between Marxist and liberal historiography

The various chapters explore the metaphorical workings of cognition as reflected in Latin and Ancient Greek, focusing on embodied
imaginative mechanisms and image schemas; they seek to show some interesting effects in the semantic systems of these languages, covering prepositions, verbs, emotion words, collocations, phraseologies and etymology. The data discussed provide further evidence for the twin assumptions that the human body constitutes a fundamental interpretive template for understanding and expressing
reality in both ancient and modern languages, and that metaphor is a key organizing principle of conceptual and linguistic structure, one that operates with wideranging effects and at multiple levels of analysis
An enhanced property of factorizing codes
No full textThe investigation of the factorizing codes C, i.e., codes satisfying Schützenberger’s factorization conjecture, has been carried out from different viewpoints, one of them being the description of structural properties of the words in C. In this framework, we can now improve an already published result. More precisely, given a factorizing code C over a two-letter alphabet A={a, b}, it was proved by De Felice that the words in the set C1 = C ∩ a*ba* could be arranged over a matrix related to special factorizations of the cyclic groups. We now prove that, in addition, these matrices can be recursively constructed starting with those corresponding to prefix/suffix codes

Ecco l'interrogativo che si sono posti gli studiosi che hanno contribuito a questo volume: filosofi, giuristi e matematici finanziari riuniti insieme, che qui dialogano e riflettono sulla disgiunzione tra il «sapere tecnico-economico» e il «sapere giuridico», oltre che sui problemi connessi al valutare, al prevedere, al giudicare.
