Analisa Faktor-Faktor Permasalahan Untuk Meningkatkan Kelangsungan Hidup Benih Ikan Nila Pada UPR Golden Fish Farm Kecamatan Kauditan - Minahasa Utara
ABSTRAKMeningkatnya produksi ikan nila memberikan peluang yang sangat besar bagi usaha pembenihan ikan nila dikarenakan input dalam melakukan pembesaran ikan nila adalah benih. berkurangnya benih ikan merupakan kendala bagi peningkatan produksi, sehingga benih tersebut harus tersedia sepanjang tahun. Ketersediaan benih merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan usaha ikan nila. Keberlanjutan dalam penyediaan benih harus diimbangi dengan tersedianya benih ikan nila unggul yang memiliki sertifikat kualitas benih. Salah satu faktor keberhasilan dalam usaha pembenihan ikan adalah kelangsungan hidup yang tinggi pada benih. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kelangsungan hidup antara lain kualitas induk dan benih, kualitas air, pakan dan padat tebar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan upaya intervensi dalam meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi dengan variable indicator yang diukur adalah tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila. Hasil observasi dianalisis menggunakan analisa fishbone diagram dan analisa root cause untuk mengetahui akar penyebab masalahnya. Pemijahan dilakukan secara alami dan massal dengan perbandingan 1 : 3 (100 jantan dan 300 betina) pada masing-masing kolam selama 14 hari. Larva ikan nila hasil pemijahan ditebar pada kolam pendederan A, B, C, D, E yang selanjutnya dipelihara selama 30 hari hingga mencapai ukuran 3-5 cm. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila tertinggi diperoleh pada kolam pendederan B yaitu 65% dan terendah diperoleh pada kolam pendederan D yaitu 54%. Rendahnya tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila yang diperoleh berdasarkan key performance indicator disebabkan oleh persiapan kolam tidak maksimal, pakan terlambat diberikan, benih dimakan oleh hama dan kualitas air tidak diukur. Intervensi utama yang segera harus dilakukan agar meningkatkan tingkat kelangsungan benih ikan nila yaitu membenahi sumber daya manusia
PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI BENIH IKAN GUPPY (Poecilia reticulata) JANTAN MENGGUNAKAN AIR KELAPA (Cocos nucifera)
Nilai jual yang tinggi menyebabkan produksi ikan guppy jantan lebih menguntungkan. Teknik sex reversal menggunakan bahan alami seperti air kelapa sudah dilakukan dalam usaha untuk menghasilkan ikan guppy jantan lebih banyak. Kalium pada air kelapa mendukung pembentukan hormon androgen atau testosterone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan metode yang paling efektif dalam pembentukkan jenis kelamin jantan menggunakan air kelapa muda jenis Cocos nucifera. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan berupa kontrol tanpa pemberian air kelapa (A), perlakuan secara oral melalui pakan pada induk bunting dengan dosis 10% bobot pakan (B) selama 14 hari, dan perlakuan melalui perendaman induk bunting dengan dosis 10% volume air selama 12 jam. Pengamatan kelamin jantan dilakukan setelah 45 hari pemeliharaan dengan mengamati organ urogenital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase jantan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan B (65,33%± 4,50b), diikuti perlakuan C (51,33%± 9,60ab) dan terendah pada perlakuan A (41,67%±2,08a). Persentase kelangsungan hidup tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup berkisar 77,33 – 88,00%.The high selling value causes the production of male guppies to be more profitable. Sex reversal techniques using natural ingredients such as coconut water have been carried out in an effort to produce more male guppy fish. Potassium in coconut water supports the formation of androgen hormones or testosterone. This study aims to get the most effective method in the formation of male sex using young coconut water type Cocos Nucifera. The study used a random design complete with 3 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment is in the form of control without coconut water (A), oral treatment through feed on pregnant parent with a dose of 10% feed weight (B) for 14 days, and treatment through the maternal soaking with a dose of 10% volume of water for 12 hours. Observation of male sex is carried out after 45 days of maintenance by observing the urogenital organs. The results showed that the highest percentage of male was obtained in treatment B (65.33%± 4.50b), followed by treatment C (51.33%± 9.60ab) and the lowest in treatment A (41.67%± 2.08a). The percentage of survival is not significantly different between treatments with survival rates ranging from 77.33 - 88.00%
THE ADDITION OF COCONUT WATER THROUGH FEED EFFECTIVE ON MASCULINIZATION OF GUPPY FISH (Poecilia reticulata)
The production of male guppies is more desirable due to it higher selling value than females. One way to produce male guppies is change it sex, namely masculinization which can be enhanced through the addition of coconut water, with high potassium level. Potassium can convert all cholesterol in the larvae into pregnenolone, which functions to convert estrogen into progesterone and produces testosterone. Hormones required in sex change can be supplemented by the oral method through feed. The research, which was conducted from November 2022 - March 2023, was divided into two stages, first is to determine the dosage of coconut water and the second one is to determine the appropriate coconut water sterilization method. Each stage used a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replicates. Doses of coconut water added to feed were 0.06 ml/g feed, 0.09 ml/g feed, 0.12 ml/g feed, and 0.15 ml/g feed. The sterilization methods conduct in this research are using UV light, autoclave, and ozone. Observation of male genitalia was done after 45 days by observing the urogenital organs and confirmed by hematoxylin-eosin histological staining after 52 and 59 days. The highest percentage of male guppies at 71.75% was produced by the dose of 0.15 ml/g feed, while sterilization treatment produces lower male percentage than control (p<0.05). No significant difference in fish survival was obtained. Fish survival ranges from 88% - 93%. Thus, the addition of 0.15 ml of coconut water to feed is the most effective treatment in producing male guppies
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
