    This research analyses the historical development of Demographic Indicators of Saudi Arabia from the year 2006 to 2016. Objectives: To compare the demographic indicators of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the years 2006, 2011 and 2016. Research Methods: It is a descriptive and comparative research study in which historical data was analysed (Library Research). Significance of Research: There is a growing demand of healthcare services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority has identified healthcare as a priority sectors for investment and nationalization for employment. Research Design: The demographic indicators from the annual reports of the Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the years 2006, 2011 and 2016 were compared and analysed. Study Population: This research is limited to the demographic indicators of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the years 2006, 2011 and 2016. Data Collections: Data were collected from the annual reports of Ministry of Heath, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the years 2001, 2011 and 2016, relevant published journals, articles, research papers, academic literature and web portals. Conclusion: Overall, there is an increase in the total estimated population by 34.05%, total saudi population by 16.26%, total non-saudi population by 81.90%, annual population growth rate by 9.48%, population of 15-64 years by 1.65%, population from of 65 & above by 48.93%, total life expectancy at birth by 2.33%, life expectancy at birth-male by 1.94%, life expectancy at birth-female by 2.70% in the year 2016 as compared to the year 2006. However, there is decrease in the population under 5 years by 8.62%, total fertility rate by 25.47%, crude birth rate per 1000 population by 30.80% and population under 15 years by 7.75% in the year 2016 as compared to the year 2006. Hence, there are enormous opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the investment of international and national entrepreneurs and employment for Saudi nationals in the lucrative healthcare service industry

Conclusion: Overall, there is an increase in the Physicians by 38.73%, Dentists by 88.84%, Pharmacists by 118.84%, Nurses by 61.02%, Allied Health personnel by 77.89%, Private hospital beds rate by 3.77% rates per 10,000 populations as compared with the year 2006. However, there is a decrease in the Hospital beds by 3.04%, Health Centers by 13.58%, Governmental hospital beds 25.84% rates per 10,000 populations as compared with the year 2006. Hence, there are good opportunities for employment of Saudi staff as Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists, Nurses and Allied health personnel in the private healthcare services and have investment opportunities in the Saudi healthcare industry

    The Impact of Hospital Accreditation on the Patients’ Experience of Hemodialysis Department: A Case Study

    The excellence of hospital Hemodialysis Department (HD) Service is the one of the most relevant items of health care quality perceived by patients and by their families. Patients experience is considered a way of measuring the quality of services provided. Objectives: To study the impact of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) Accreditation, India on the patients experience of Hemodialysis Department services. Methods: It is a quantitative, descriptive and inferential research based case study in which sample of a population was studied by structured patients experience survey questionnaires (before and after the accreditation) in a private tertiary care hospital at Secunderabad, Telangana State, India to determine its characteristics, and it is then inferred that the population has the same or different characteristics. Significance of Research: It was observed initially before the accreditation that there was a lower patient’s experience rate of the hospital Hemodialysis Department Services, which was affecting the study hospitals’ business. Hypothesis: Null Hypothesis (Ho) and Alternative Hypothesis (H1) were used and tested to compare the before and after impact of accreditation by applying to each question in the questionnaire. Study Design: The closed ended questionnaire was developed considering the Hemodialysis Department Services by incorporating the six dimensions of quality Safe, Timely, Effective, Efficient, Equitable, and Patient-centred (STEEP) and tested prior to implementing. Questionnaires were given to the patients' families for completion upon using the Hemodialysis Department Services two months before and two months after the accreditation. The data were collected in order to cover all three shifts of the Hemodialysis Department Services. Study Population: Simple random sampling method was selected; the researcher had involved all conscious patients (clinical conditions) from all age groups. Data Collections: Primary data were collected from the survey questionnaires. Secondary data were collected from relevant published journals, articles, research papers, academic literature and web portals. Conclusion: The patient’s experience score has improved from before accreditation compared to after accreditation which indicated that the accreditation has a positive impact on the patient’s experience of Haemodialysis Department Services of the study hospital

    This Case Study compares the consumption of electricity in a Tertiary Care Hospital before and after the implementation of Value Engineering/ Value Analysis (VE/VA). In this study we provided the training, education, assigned responsibilities, conducted brainstorming sessions and the control mechanism to the concerned staff for the control of the consumption of electricity in the hospital with premises while maintaining the quality of service by replacing the incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs in the corridors. Methodology: This is Case Study method in which we have used the direct observation and personal interview methods for primary data and secondary data collected from the published research papers and journals.
