BBCA: Improving the scalability of *BEAST using random binning
Species tree estimation can be challenging in the presence of gene tree conflict due to incomplete lineage sorting (ILS), which can occur when the time between speciation events is short relative to the population size. Of the many methods that have been developed to estimate species trees in the presence of ILS, *BEAST, a Bayesian method that co-estimates the species tree and gene trees given sequence alignments on multiple loci, has generally been shown to have the best accuracy. However, *BEAST is extremely computationally intensive so that it cannot be used with large numbers of loci; hence, *BEAST is not suitable for genome-scale analyses. Results: We present BBCA (boosted binned coalescent-based analysis), a method that can be used with *BEAST (and other such co-estimation methods) to improve scalability. BBCA partitions the loci randomly into subsets, uses *BEAST on each subset to co-estimate the gene trees and species tree for the subset, and then combines the newly estimated gene trees together using MP-EST, a popular coalescent-based summary method. We compare time-restricted versions of BBCA and *BEAST on simulated datasets, and show that BBCA is at least as accurate as *BEAST, and achieves better convergence rates for large numbers of loci. Conclusions: Phylogenomic analysis using *BEAST is currently limited to datasets with a small number of loci, and analyses with even just 100 loci can be computationally challenging. BBCA uses a very simple divide-and-conquer approach that makes it possible to use *BEAST on datasets containing hundreds of loci. This study shows that BBCA provides excellent accuracy and is highly scalable.Grant Agency of the Czech Republic P501-10-0208Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic AVOZ50040507, AVOZ50040702, MSMT LC0604Ministry of Innovation and Science of Spain, MICINN CGL2007-64839-C02/BOSCSIC (Superior Council of Scientific InvestigationsJosé Castillejo Grant from the MICINN of the Spanish GovernmentComputer Scienc

Synchronization Overhead in SOC Compressed Test
Test data compression is an enabling technology for low-cost test. Compression schemes however, require communication between the system under test and the automated test equipment. This communication, referred to in this paper as synchronization overhead, may hinder the effective deployment of this new test technology for core-based systems-on-a-chip. This paper analyzes the sources of synchronization overhead and discusses the different trade-offs, such as area overhead, test time and automatic test equipment extensions. A novel scalable and programmable on-chip distribution architecture is proposed, which addresses the synchronization overhead problem and facilitates the use of low cost testers for manufacturing test. The design of the proposed architecture is introduced in a generic framework, and the implementation issues (including the test controller and test set preparation) have been considered for a particular case
Fifty Forensic Fables
This book does for the legal profession in England what George Ade's fables do more broadly. These are enjoyable tales with pleasing caricatures. All the actors are humans. A funny appendix follows The Story of an Ancient Line through twelve generations. The book shows what fable meant earlier in this century. This is a hardbound book (hard cover)This book has a dust jacket (book cover)O (Theo Mathew
Corporate and Public Real Estate managament
In this book chapter Theo van der Voordt and Monique Arkesteijn discuss the difference between corporate and public real estate management i.e. the perspective of the end users, and real estate management i.e. the perspective of investors and developers. Furthermore an overview is presented of the legacy of the (C)REM section of the Department of Management in the Built Environment of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. The chapter discusses various research themes and introduces key topics such as how to create the best possible fit between supply and demand, adding value through corporate and public real estate, managing of university campuses, workplace management, adaptive reuse as a means to cope with (structural) vacancy, preference modeling and willingness-to-pay, and Corporations & Cities. These topics have been elaborated in other chapters of “Dear is Durable”, a Liber Amicorum for prof. Hans de Jonge that was offered to him due to his farewell as professor of Real Estate Management and Development A pdf of this book can be downloaded from the TU Delft research repository: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:02789dc2-eb6f-41a7-9d64-21212c2a3da8 .Real Estate Managemen

Accepted manuscriptReal Estate Managemen
Further Forensic Fables
I had earlier found Fifty Forensic Fables, though in a republication by the original publisher in 1949. See my comments there. Again, these stories had all appeared in the Law Journal. Before the thirty fables, this volume, like the first, offers a table of cases cited and a table of statutes. Again, each story has an enjoyable newspaper-like caricature. One can get a good sense of these stories, I believe, by trying the second and third of them. In The Industrious Youth and the Stout Stranger (5), a con man looking like W.C. Fields hires the industrious youth and then borrows a sum of money from him. Of course the industrious youth never sees him again. In Mr. Whitewig and the Rash Question (9), the young Mr. Whitewig has established a very strong case when he asks one question too many of the Police Inspector, i.e., why he arrested the defendant. That question produces the records of nine previous convictions. There are twenty-six pages given to an index starting on 107. The covers are heavy boards with titles pasted on.This is a hardbound book (hard cover)By O (Theo Mathew
KRIMINALITAS DALAM CERITA PENDEK “TÖDLICHER SCHNEE” KARYA FELIX DAN THEO
Literatur is an expression of the author’s feelings about what he experienced and also about the picture of the reality of people’s lives around the author. The short story of “Tödlicher Schnee” by Felix and Theo are among the short story that tell about crime. The research on criminality in short story “Tödlicher Schnee” by Felix and Theo refers to two problems : what criminal acts exist in the short story “Tödlicher Schnee” by Felix and Theo. Based on the formulation of the problem it can be cocluded that the purpose of this research is to describe the criminal acts that exist in the short story “Tödlicher Schnee” by Felix and Theo and also describe the motive of causing crime in the short story “Tödlicher Schnee” by Felix and Theo.

Vincent and Theo van Gogh: Their fraternal link in two biographical films
The author explores the unique and intense link between Vincent van Gogh and
his brother Theo as illustrated in two biographical films: Vincent and Theo (1990)
by Robert Altman and At Eternity’s Gate (2018) by Julian Schnabel. Starting from
Vincent’s condition as a replacement son, the author traces some key moments
of the fraternal link between Vincent and Theo, focusing his analysis on certain
elements such as the idealisation of the fraternal couple, identification dynamics,
and the concept of the double. These elements will lead to some concluding reflections
on the fraternal in psychoanalysi
