Interaction itchgrass (Rottboellia cochinchinensis) management and sugarcane planting technologies
No full textO objetivo do estudo é a interação entre a tecnologia de mudas pré-brotadas (MPB) de cana-de-açúcar e o controle de plantas daninhas, especificamente do capim-camalote (Rottboellia cochinchinensis). Nesse compasso forão realizados cinco experimentos em ambiente aberto no Centro de Cana/IAC, utilizando as tecnologias de plantio por tolete, MPB IAC, Plene Evolve e Plene PB da cultivar IACSP95 5000 de cana-de-açúcar e sementes de capim-camalote. Dois experimentos na área de matocompetição, um sobre densidade do capim-camalote, e outro de distância do capim-camalote da MPB de cana-de-açúcar. Foram plantadas as MPB ao centro de vasos de 40 litros e depois distribuídos os tratamentos, diferentes densidades de capim-camalote (0, 1, 2, 4 e 8 plantas/vaso) e nos de distância, os tratamentos 7,5 e 15 cm da MPB. Eles seguirão o padrão de delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial com quatro repetições e foram analisadas aos 60 e 120 dias após o plantio (DAP) a altura, diâmetro e perfilhamento das plantas e a massa seca do capim-camalote e da cana-de-açúcar aos 120 DAA. Outros dois experimentos de tolerância foram instalados, um com os herbicidas em pré-plantio e outro em pós-plantio da cana-de-açúcar, os herbicidas testados foram os utilizados no tratamento convencional dos canaviais comerciais. Nesses experimentos foram analisadas aos 60, 90 e 120 DAA, os sintomas visuais de intoxicação, a altura, o diâmetro e perfilhamento das plantas; e 120 DAA, a massa seca do capim-camalote e das cana-de-açúcar. E finalizando, um experimento de controle, em pré-emergência do capim-camalote, novamente utilizaremos os herbicidas recomendados para os canaviais comerciais. Analisou aos 30, 60 e 90 DAA as notas de controle, e aos 90 DAA, massa seca do capim-camalote. Concluímos que a densidade populacional crítica é de 8 plantas de R. cochinchinensis por vaso para todas as tecnologias de plantio em tolete. O distanciamento da IACSP95-5000 e o R. cochinchinensis crítico para a tecnologias de plantio em tolete e Plene PB foi de 7,5cm enquanto que, para as tecnologias MPB IAC e Plene Evolve foi de 15cm. A cv. IACSP95-500 não foi tolerante no seu desenvolvimento inicial à mistura de pendimenthalin + trifluralin nas tecnologias de plantio (tolete, MPB IAC, Plene PB e Plene Envolve) na aplicação em pré-plantio e, em pós-plantio, ao isoxaflutole e a mistura de ametryn + clomazone. O pendimentalin e trifluralin isolado ou em associação e amircabazone aplicados em pré-emergência foram os herbicidas que proporcionaram 100% de controle sobre as plantas R. cochinchinensis.The aim of the study is the interaction between sugarcane pre-sprouted seedling (MPB) technology and weed control, specifically of Rottboellia cochinchinensis. In this measure five experiments were conducted in open environment in the Center of Cana / IAC, using the technologies of tillage, MPB IAC, Plene Evolve and Plene PB of the sugarcane cv. IACSP95 5000 and seeds of itchgrass. Two experiments in the area of matocompetition, one on the density of the itchgrass, and the other one away from the sugarcane MPB itchgrass. The MPB were planted in the center of 40 liters pots and then the treatments, different densities of itchgrass (0, 1, 2, 4 and 8 plants/pot) were distributed and in the distance, the treatments 7.5 and 15 cm. of MPB. They will follow the completely randomized design in a factorial scheme with four replications and were analyzed at 60 and 120 days after planting (DAP) the plant height, diameter and tillering and the dry mass of itchgrass and sugarcane at 120 DAA. Two other tolerance experiments were installed, one with pre-planting and the other with post-planting sugarcane. The herbicides tested were those used in the conventional treatment of commercial sugarcane fields. In these experiments were analyzed at 60, 90 and 120 DAA, the visual symptoms of intoxication, plant height, diameter and tillering; and 120 DAA, the dry mass of itchgrass and sugarcane. Finally, a control experiment in pre-emergence of itchgrass will again use the recommended herbicides for commercial sugarcane fields. At 30, 60 and 90 DAA, the control notes were analyzed, and at 90 DAA, dry mass of itchgrass. We conclude that the critical population density is 8 R. cochinchinensis plants per pot for all tillage technologies. The distance between IACSP95-5000 and R. cochinchinensis critical for tillage and Plene PB technologies was 7.5cm while for MPB IAC and Plene Evolve technologies it was 15cm. The cv. IACSP95-500 was not tolerant in its early development to the pendimenthalin + trifluralin mixture in planting technologies (tiller, MPB IAC, Plene PB and Plene Envolve) in pre-planting and post-planting application to isoxaflutole and the mixture. of ametryn + clomazone. Pendimentalin and trifluralin alone or in combination and amircabazone applied pre-emergence were the herbicides that provided 100% control over R. cochinchinensis plants
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
