Internationalisation of Spanish fashion brand Zara
No full textZara is one of the world’s most successful fashion retailers operating in 59 countries.
However, there is little research about the firm in English as the majority of
publications have been written in Spanish. This paper seeks to address this gap in the
literature by examining the internationalisation process of Zara. This study adopts an
in-depth case approach based on extensive secondary research. Literature published in
both English and Spanish has been reviewed, including company documents such as
annual reports. The paper starts with a brief overview of the global textile and
clothing industry, followed by the case study of Zara. The main part of the case
examines the key aspects in the internationalisation of Zara namely: motives for
internationalisation, market selection, entry strategies, and international marketing
strategies. In the final section, comparisons are made between Zara and two of its
main competitors, H&M and Gap

Beraz, eskoletan transgeneroen gaineko ulermena, sentsibilizazioa eta errespetua sustatzeko helburuarekin, Sentitzen zarena zara material digital berritzailea sortu da. Material hau Lehen Hezkuntzako 6. mailako ikasleei zuzendutako webgune bat da. Bertan, jarduerak ez ezik, bestelako baliabide desberdinak ere eskuragarri egongo dira gaiaren ikaskuntza arrakastatsua ahalbidetzeko, guztietan euskara oinarrizko hizkuntza izanik. Materiala 48 umerekin frogatu da eta aurkeztu duten asebetetasun maila altua izan da. Izan ere, eskuratutako emaitzen artean, ume gehienek Sentitzen zarena zara materialak transgenero gaiaren inguruan ikasteko aukera eskaini diela zehaztu dute, baita ikaskuntza garapen bat ahalbidetzeko modu digital egokia dela ere.[ES] La discriminación hacia las identidades que hoy en día están fuera del binarismo de género se puede detectar en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, también en la familia y en el sistema educativo. Por lo tanto, con el objetivo de fomentar la comprensión, sensibilización y respeto hacia los transgéneros en las escuelas, se ha creado un innovador material digital llamado Sentitzen zarena zara. Este material es una web dirigida al alumnado de 6º de Primaria. En ella, además de actividades, estarán disponibles otros recursos diferentes para posibilitar el aprendizaje exitoso del tema, siendo el euskera la lengua básica en todos ellos. El material se ha probado con 48 niños y niñas y el grado de satisfacción presentado ha sido alto. De hecho, entre los resultados obtenidos, la mayoría de los niños y niñas han precisado que el material Sentitzen zarena zara les ha brindado la oportunidad de aprender sobre el tema transgénero y que la forma digital usada es adecuada para posibilitar un desarrollo en el aprendizaje.[EN] Discrimination against identities that are currently outside the gender binary can be detected in all areas of society, including in the family and in the education system. Therefore, in order to promote understanding, awareness and respect for transgender people in schools, an innovative digital material called Sentitzen zarena zara has been created. This material is a website aimed at 6th grade primary school students. In it, in addition to activities, other different resources will be available to enable a successful learning of the subject, with Basque being the basic language in all of them. The material has been tested with 48 children and the degree of satisfaction presented has been high. In fact, among the results obtained, most of the children have stated that the Sentitzen zarena zara material has given them the opportunity to learn about the transgender issue and that the digital form used is adequate to enable a learning development
