Optimisation of resin production quantity using De Novo programming models
No full textPT. ABC is one of the well-known resin manufacturing companies that produces resin in large quantity. However, there is still residual production due to excess raw materials. The objective of this research is to find out appropriate combination of resin to be used in paint production, so that PT. ABC would achieve an optimal profit. The research method used to solve the problem is Forecasting Method and De Novo Programming. Besides, this research uses QM for Windows 2 software to support data analysis process. The results show that the demand forecast in December 2015 for each type of resin is: 240,146 kg (long type), 311,858 kg (medium type), 340,783 kg (short type), and 376.660 (other types). The combination of resin types to be produced that can optimise the production in December 2015 is: 240,146 kg (long type), 311,858 kg (medium type), 340.783 kg (short type), and 473.712,6 kg (other types). From this combination, PT. ABC would achieve optimal profit of Rp 6.388.886,315 or approximately Rp 6.3 billion
Coupled PDE for Ultrasound Despeckling Using ENI Classification
No full textAbstractSpeckle is a type of noise which is often present in ultrasound images. Speckle is formed due to constructive or destructive interference of ultrasound waves. Due to the granular pattern of speckle noise, it hides important details in ultrasound images. Many despeckling techniques are proposed in the literature, but most of them fail to reach a balance between the removal of speckle noise and preservation of the fine details in the image. In this work, an improved coupled PDE model is proposed which combines second order selective degenerate diffusion (SDD) model and fourth order PDE model based on the assumption that speckle in ultrasound image follows Gamma distribution. An edge noise interior (ENI) method is used to control the diffusion. With the help of ENI controlling function, the diffusion at edge pixels and noisy pixels are selectively accomplished with varying speed. Thus, the proposed model preserves the edges and fine texture details in the image. The model is tested on simulated images after corrupting the images with various levels of Gamma noise. Further, we have tested it on real ultrasound images also. The performance of the proposed model is compared with other similar techniques and the proposed method outperforms other state-of-the-art methods, both in terms of qualitative and quantitative measures

No full textThe Eni (Ente nazionale idrocarburi), the oil and gas state ownes enterprise, founded by Enrico Mattei in 1953, has used many advertising communication’s strategies to diffuse its activities throughout the national territory and abroad. Among the many instruments that the company has used (billboards advertising on the road, magazines, newspapers, house organ “Il gatto selvatico”, television spots “Carosello”) there are also the documentaries that are seen in Italian cinemas. The author explores the representation that Eni gave the south of Italy in the years of the “miracolo economico” (economic miracle) with its industrial documentaries. Eni show himself as one of the key factors for economic and social development of southern Italy and resolve the “Questione meridionale”. The study of documentaries shows that while a country is moving towards modernity, still has problems of poverty and backwardness that even industrial progress can be solved, despite the company advertises itself as the motor of a new history for the Italy
Developing Digital Dashboard Management for Learning System Dynamic Cooperative Simulation Behavior of Indonesia
No full textThere are problems being experienced by the Ministry of cooperatives and SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) including the length of time in the decision by the Government to establish a policy that should be taken for local cooperatives across the province of Indonesia. The decision-making process is still analyzed manually, so that sometimes the decisions taken are also less appropriate, effective and efficient. The second problem is the lack of monitoring data cooperative process province that is too much, making it difficult for the analysis of dynamic information to be useful. Therefore the authors want to fix the system that runs by using digital dashboard management system supported by the modeling of system dynamics. In addition, the author also did the design of a system that can support the system. Design of this system is aimed to ease the experts, head, and the government to decide (DSS - Decision Support System) accurately effectively and efficiently, because in the system are raised alternative simulation in a description of the decision to be taken and the result from the decision. The system is expected to be designed dan simulated can ease and expedite the decision making. The design of dynamic digital dashboard management conducted by method of OOAD (Objects Oriented Analysis and Design) complete with UML notation
Functional Cramér–Rao bounds and Stein estimators in Sobolev spaces, for Brownian motion and Cox processes
No full textWe investigate the problems of drift estimation for a shifted Brownian motion and intensity estimation for a Cox process on a finite interval [0,T], when the risk is given by the energy functional associated to some fractional Sobolev space H01⊂Wα,2⊂L2. In both situations, Cramér–Rao lower bounds are obtained, entailing in particular that no unbiased estimators (not necessarily adapted) with finite risk in H01 exist. By Malliavin calculus techniques, we also study super-efficient Stein type estimators (in the Gaussian case)
