    By 2025, almost 80% of the world’s population will live in densely populated areas. Cities produce mountains of waste, consuming the most and sorting the least; plastic recycling reaches only 20% in urban areas. We are at a defining moment. If we want our lifestyles to become sustainable, we will all have to learn new ways of dealing with our household waste. Faced with this situation, city-dweller communities were determined to act. They decided to join together to embody the vitally needed change – bottle by bottle – and that’s how Yoyo was born.Yoyo.eco is a digital and human solution that rewards people who sort more and better to offset the environmental impact of what they consume. In 2018, Yoyo was operational in six cities and its 15,000 sorter residents had recycled 2 million bottles via a French-based short recycling circuit. Yoyo has proved that with resolutely positive ecology it is possible to double the amount of plastic recycled in French cities – and reduce drastically plastic pollution

Biophysical Journal. 2005;88(1):404-411.Mechanical properties of single double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in the presence of different binding ligands were analyzed in optical-tweezers experiments with subpiconewton force resolution. The binding of ligands to DNA changes the overall mechanic response of the dsDNA molecule. This fundamental property can be used for discrimination and identification of different binding modes and, furthermore, may be relevant for various processes like nucleosome packing or applications like cancer therapy. We compared the effects of the minor groove binder distamycin-A, a major groove binding [alpha]-helical peptide, the intercalators ethidium bromide, YO-1, and daunomycin as well as the bisintercalator YOYO-1 on [lambda]-DNA. Binding of molecules to the minor and major groove of dsDNA induces distinct changes in the molecular elasticity compared to the free dsDNA detectable as a shift of the overstretching transition to higher forces. Intercalating molecules affect the molecular mechanics by a complete disappearance of the B-S transition and an associated increase in molecular contour length. Significant force hysteresis effects occurring during stretching/relaxation cycles with velocities >10 nm/s for YOYO-1 and >1000 nm/s for daunomycin. These indicate structural changes in the timescale of minutes for the YOYO-DNA and of seconds for the daunomycin-DNA complexes, respectively

    Jenis limbah kain yang diperoleh dari produksi busana pesta cenderung mengandung bahan sintetis yang sulit terurai kembali dengan alam sehingga perlu adanya inovasi dalam mengolah limbah kain yaitu dengan membuat hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta. Hiasan yoyo menggunakan tiga macam kain yaitu satin maxmara, tulle, dan chiffon. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu variabel tunggal kelayakan hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dengan lembar pengamatan. Indikator yang digunakan adalah bahan baku, desain, dan hasil jahitan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode analisis statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil analisis deskriptif persentase menunjukkan hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta C memiliki kelayakan paling tinggi dengan nilai persentase sebesar 94,86%, jenis kain yoyo yang digunakan menunjang hasil yoyo yang bagus, desain yang menarik, jahitan yang rapi dan sesuai kriteria; hiasan yoyo pada busana Pesta A dengan memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 93,19%; dan hiasan yoyo pada busana Pesta B memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 89,58%. Simpulan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta memperoleh kriteria sangat tinggi dan ketiga produk hiasan yoyo pada busana pesta sangat layak. Saran yang dapat diajukan berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu jenis kain tulle untuk membuat hiasan yoyo lebih baik menambahkan lapisan kain lebih dari dua lapis pada satu hiasan yoyo agar hasil hiasan yoyo lebih memiliki volume, hasil hiasan yoyo lebih tegas dan jelas bentuknya
