A Study on the Essays Written by Kim Jin Seop Ⅰ: Focused on How to Be Affected by Foreign Literature
The purpose of this article is shown us the essays written by Kim Jin Seop in Japanese colonial era how to be influenced by foreign literature especially German literature & philosophy, his major. The conclusions of this article are three. First, his early works, like as Chang(窓, The window) is affected strongly G. Simmels essays. But his essays are erased social philosophical connection in Simmels, as a German philosopher. Second, Kim Jin Seops essays are revealed Goethes influence in thoughts. Kim & Goethe, they had pursued joy & enjoyment in the ordinary lives not in the political lives. So, the essays by Kim emphasized happiness of the human life that is universal. Third, Kims theory of the essay as a genre is the synthesis of Montaignes & Bacons which are two of the great models of German essay. Kim said the essences of essay are two things. Contents of essays are self expressions. The writers view point is the bystanders. 1st idea is from Montaignes essay, 2nd is from Bacons essay. Finally the early essays by Kim Jin Seop are affected strongly German literature & philosophy

Multifunctional Nanofiber Arrays Templated from Liquid Crystal Films via Chemical Vapor Polymerization
Surfaces decorated with oriented arrays of fibers are ubiquitous in the natural world because they can provide functions such as sensing (hair cells), thermal insulation (polar bear fur), enhanced mass transport (microtubules), extreme wetting properties (lotus leaf), and reversible adhesion (gecko foot). However, recreation of these functions in synthetic materials requires multiscale engineering processes that enable control over the composition, shape and morphology of individual fibers as well as control over higher order organization of fibers into arrays. For example, extrusion, electrospinning and microdrawing are manufacturing processes widely used to create fibrous polymer mats, but these approaches offer limited access to oriented arrays of nanometer-scale fibers with controlled size, shape and lateral organization. In this presentation, I will introduce our recent discovery that chemical vapor polymerization can be performed on surfaces coated with thin films of liquid crystals to synthesize organized assemblies of end-attached polymer nanofibers.[1] Significantly, the approach enables access to nanofiber arrays with complex, yet precisely defined structures and compositions. We also demonstrate the nanofiber arrays to permit tailoring of a wide range of functional properties, including wetting, conductivity, optical properties, biodegradability, biological interactions, and adhesion that depends on nanofiber chirality.

However, treatment of GPN is difficult, more medically intractable compared to other cranial rhizopathies that operation is often considered for cure. Microvascular decompression (MVD) in GPN patients are known to show fine outcome, but due to its rarity, not enough reports have been made to prove efficacy and safety of the MVD over other treatments. Recurrence after MVD have also been noted.
PURPOSE: To evaluate the outcome of patients who underwent operation for MVD of GPN via new sling technique for better outcome, along with review of literatures.
STUDY DESIGN: A retrospective study of patients who underwent same operation under the same diagnosis.
METHODS: This single-institution retrospective analysis included 22 glossopharyngeal neuralgia patients who received MVD from 1996 to 2012. The operation was performed by a single experienced surgeon with retromastoid craniotomy via lateral suboccipital approach. Decompression method involved were transposition with glue for eight (36.4%) patients, transposition with sling for seven (31.8%) in those with very tortuous offenders, and interposition for those with many perforating vessels that made transposition impossible.
RESULTS: Preoperative symptoms were relieved immediately after the operation in all patients, and no recurrence has occurred so far during the follow-ups. Postoperative complications occurred in 5 of the 22 patients, all transient, and there was no surgical mortality.
CONCLUSION: Glossopharyngeal neuralgia can be safely and affectively treated by MVD, and adequate decompression of the offender is an important factor directly contributing to increased success rate of this surgery. Fibrin glue-coated Teflon sling can contribute to good outcome of the MVD operation by aiding in successful transposition of the offending vessels that may be too tortuous to be affectively decompressed by conventional techniques

A Study on the Truth Described in Kim Yu-Jeongs Literature - The Limitation and Tragedy of a Human Being as a Physical Existence
Kim Yu-Jeong wrote 31 short stories during his illness. He suffered from tuberculosis, pleurisy, hemorrhoids, depression, and anthropophobia from 1933 to 1937. He also had been a stammerer in youth. So in this sense, it is possible to regard his novels as a form of sickbed literature. The main subject of Kim Yu-Jeongs novels is the limitation and tragedy of a human being as a physical existence. In the novels, the complexity of Kim Yu-Jeongs diseases are reflected very well. He uses humor as a method of enduring the bad situations which may face a human being. His writing style has been revealed to be very Korean. His novels contain imagery of the people of the lower classes and the landscapes of mountain villages in Korea. He was a member of Group Gu-In. The members of this group were very close to the members of Group Mook-Il, which had looked for Korean style in modern fine arts. The efforts of the Korean painters to find local colour in art in the mid-1930s may have been a big influence
