Analysis on Factors Affecting Diarrhoea in Dawbon Township, Yangon Region ( Witt Yee Win, 2025)
This study investigates the factors contributing to diarrhoea in Dawbon
Township by examining socio-demographic characteristics, environmental conditions,
and hygiene behaviors. The township’s population is predominantly male and middle-
aged, with nearly half (49.97%) falling into the low-income category, indicating a
significant prevalence of economic vulnerability. Most residents are engaged in
informal, labor-intensive occupations, which further limits their access to adequate
sanitation and healthcare. Poor environmental conditions, including irregular waste
collection, and exposure to disease vectors, significantly heighten the risk of diarrhoeal
disease. While residents generally understand the importance of sanitation, their
practices are constrained by limited infrastructure, insufficient public health outreach,
and financial barriers. Low health literacy further restricts access to clean water, proper
hygiene, and timely medical care. The findings highlight the urgent need for improved
sanitation infrastructure, targeted hygiene promotion, and strengthened community
health programs. Addressing these challenges through coordinated government policies
and active community involvement is essential for reducing the diarrhoea disease
burden in Dawbon Township

The Effect of Food Delivery Applications Attributes on Consumer Perceived Value and Attitude in Yangon(Nay Win Yee Myo, 2022)
The purposes of this study are to explore the influence of food delivery
applications attributes on consumer perceived value, to examine the effect of consumer
perceived value on consumer attitude, and to investigate the effect of consumer attitude
on consumer re-use intention on food delivery services in Yangon. To achieve these
objectives, both primary and secondary data are used. Descriptive and analytical methods
are applied in this study. There are eight food delivery service providers in Yangon. This
study chooses four food delivery services which have largest number of riders among
eight food delivery services operated in Yangon. Systemic random sampling method is
applied to select every 5th customers who are ordering food through the food delivery
services. Seven day survey is conducted to collect the primary data. Total 296
respondents are participated in this study. This study found that the food delivery
applications attributes such as convenience, ease of use, trustworthiness, price, time
saving orientation and various food choices have positively influenced on consumer
perceived value. Furthermore, there has positive effect of consumer perceived value on
consumer attitude, and the consumer attitude has positively influenced on re-use intention
towards food delivery services. Based on the results, the study recommends that food
delivery service providers should focus and enhance these attributes to increase consumer
perceived value and benefit to consumer attitude that will enhance to re-use intention
Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Latrine Management Approaches in Internally Displaced Persons Camps in Myanmar
Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions provide dignity and prevent disease transmission. Sanitary facility provision (e.g., latrines) is a key WASH priority in all phases of humanitarian response. Currently, there are evidence gaps on field effectiveness of sanitation approaches, particularly in protracted crises. Thus, we conducted a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of sanitation approaches in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Myanmar. We conducted 36 focus group discussions, 65 household surveys, and 32 key informant interviews in Rakhine and Kachin states; results were analyzed qualitatively. We found family-shared, gender-segregated latrines were the preferred approach. Acceptance was a result of gender segregation, followed by lighting, state of repair, cleanliness, design, and distance from household. Contextual factors influencing sanitation approach development and acceptance were cultural and religious beliefs, community cohesion, camp size, livelihood access, land ownership and availability, and responding agency type. Overall, sanitation approaches generally met IDP needs; however, access was limited for children, the elderly, and people with special needs (including persons with disabilities). We recommend implementers of latrine programs in protracted contexts conduct community consultations, consider gender segregation, be flexible in considering context-specific solutions, prioritize access and dignity, and be inclusive of vulnerable groups
Effect of substrate surface condition on fatigue behavior of cold sprayed Ti6Al4V coatings
Ti6Al4V coatings were deposited on Ti6Al4V substrates by using a high pressure cold spray system. Before deposition, the substrate surfaces were prepared with four different surface preparation methods, namely, grinding, milling, sand blasting and water-jet cutting. The fatigue behavior of the coated specimens was studied with three point-bending-fatigue test. The fracture characteristics of the specimens were observed by using scanning electron microscopy. The surface roughness and its effect on the crack initiation and propagation in the coatings were also investigated. The results indicated that the fracture mode of the coated samples was interface cracking. At two different stress levels such as 420 and 360 MPa, the samples with the coatings deposited on the ground surfaces survived the longest fatigue life before failure, while the samples with the coatings deposited on the water-jet cut surfaces survived the shortest fatigue life. It was clearly shown that the fatigue strength of the cold sprayed Ti6Al4V coatings was strongly affected by the both spraying and substrate surface preparation conditions
Effects of deep cryogenic treatment on mechanical and tribological properties of AISI D3 tool steel
In this study, the effects of deep cryogenic treatment (DCT) on the mechanical and tribological properties of AISI D3 tool steel were investigated together with a systematic correlation between their hardness and wear resistance. It was found that conventionally heat treated AISI D3 tool steel samples were significantly hardened via an additional DCT, which was attributed to the more retained austenite elimination, more homogenized carbide distribution and more reduction in carbide size in the samples. As a result, the hardened AISI D3 samples exhibited reductions in their friction and wear during rubbing against alumina and 100Cr6 steel balls under different normal loads due to the effectively hindered removal of surface materials. The results clearly showed that the DCT was an effective way to improve the mechanical and tribological properties of the AISI D3 tool steel samples as the tribological performance of the tool steel samples was significantly influenced by their hardness
Mandalay Economy inTransition(1859-1877)
Ratanabon City is well known as Mandalay City. It was founded by King Mindon soon after he ascended to the Amarapura Throne in 1852. Many obstacles were ahead of him during his reign. Myanmar was defeated in the second war with the British the result of which was that lower Myanmar was ceded to the latter. It was indeed, a great loss to Myanmar King for rich food supply of rice, salted fish, fish paste and salt all of which were essential to Myanmar daily diet. The first and foremost reform to be carried out was to lessen its dependence for rice on lower Myanmar. The second was to introduce coinage system to become easier in economic transactions and taxations. And the third was the introduction of economic monopoly system and that of tax farming in inter-regional trade. People could see in this period change in agriculture, change in monetary system and change in trade all of which had never been practiced. For these changes in economic performances to be successfully implemented, King Mindon had an efficient, enthusiastic and zealous Heir Apparent popularly known as Prince Kanaung who was very much interested in all-round development of the kingdom to match with, or supersede the British imperialists so that they could be driven out and regain lost territories. For these reasons, reforms were introduced and carried out in the kingdom to become materialized. In brief this research paper is intended to treat the following three major points: on agriculture; on monetary system and on trade
Soci-economic Life of the Mu Valley During the Kon-baung Period
Economic and social developments in the Konbaung period are also seen in the Mu valley region. The kings showed their great attachment to this region by adopting and implementing the economic development schemes. Thus King opened a new economic frontier in the fields of agriculture. Mu valley thus emerged as a special economic zone in Myanmar. All these are dealt with in this
study, emphasizing on rural society and economy, without leaving out the tripartite relationship of kings, monastic order and people
Military Strength of the Northern Division: A Brief Survey
This study focuses on the people of the region located between the two river courses, the Ayeyarwady and the Chindwin. These areas were known in the Bagan Inscriptions as the Taik Regions, the second home of Bamas if the Khayaing Regions were their first home. One can trace the historical developments in this cradle region from the lower Paleolithic Age down to present day. But major emphasis is made on the cavalry and other armed groups organized and settled there by the Nyaung-yan and the Konbaung kings
