Topological classification of periodic orbits in the Yang-Chen system

    No full text
This paper studies the periodic orbits of the Yang-Chen system. As an alternative to the Poincaré section map analysis, a new approach for establishing one-dimensional symbolic dynamics is proposed, and the periodic orbits are systematically calculated with the variational method. Two cycles can be used as basic building blocks for initialization searching, and the topological classification based on the entire orbital structure is revealed to be effective. Furthermore, the deformation of periodic orbits with the change of parameters is discussed, which provides a chart to the periods of cycles. The current research may provide a methodology for systematic calculation and classification of periodic orbits in other similar chaotic flows

The Optimal Sequence for Reset Controllers

    No full text
The PID controller is one of the most used controllers in the industry. However, fundamental limitations due to linearity restrict its performances when higher bandwidth, stability, and precision are required simultaneously in today’s high-tech industry. Reset control is a promising nonlinear control strategy which can overcome these limitations. But it also brings new problems.High order harmonics are introduced into the system because of non-linearity which lead to unwanted dynamics and deterioration of performances. So it is necessary to reduce them as much as possible. It is found that the sequence of different parts of a reset controller has effects on the magnitude of high order harmonics. Through high order sinusoidal input describing functions (HOSIDOFs) tool, the optimal sequence of the open loop in which the magnitude of high order harmonics is minimum is achieved for a general reset controller. The superiority of the suggested sequence in the closed-loop system is validated through both simulation and experiments at a Lorentz-actuated precision positioning stage.Mechanical Engineering | Mechatronic System Design (MSD

Research on Present Situation and Development Countermeasures of Art and Physical Education of Primary and Middle Schools in Sichuan’s Tibetan Area

Art and physical education can promote students’ physical quality, the shaping of personality and so on. With development and improvement of modern quality education, colleges and universities at all levels are continuously promoting their attention to art and physical education. Because the limitation from many ways such as regional development, economic conditions, etc., art and physical education’s quality of primary and middle schools in Sichuan’s Tibetan area hasn’t been improved effectively. So this article mainly with present situations of art and physical education in primary and middle schools in Sichuan’s Tibetan area as research object, hopes to find out its problems and development countermeasures by author’s effort to promote its continuous improvement

Solution and type curves for the seepage model of the water-bearing coalbed with leakage recharge

    No full text
To analyze the effects of the leakage recharge of the aquifer on the initial dewatering of coalbed methane wells, the mathematical seepage model of water in the coalbed considering the aquifer leakage was established by using the leakage coefficient according to the unsteady seepage theory. The model was solved after Laplace transform and the Stehfest numerical reverse inversion was used to obtain the solution in right space. Then, the log-log type curves of pressure and pressure derivative were created with new combinations of parameters. Based on the natural seepage mechanism, the influence of aquifer leakage on curve shape was judged. It is found that the radial flow ends earlier as the leakage coefficient increases. Moreover, it was proposed to obtain reservoir permeability, skin factor, and leakage coefficient by using type curve matching. The type curves are useful for quantitatively evaluating the level of leakage, thereby guiding the adjustment of the following production system for CBM wells
