Geometry related convergence results for domain decomposition algorithms

For general second-order elliptic partial differential equations, the Schwarz alternating procedure is proved to converge at a rate independent of the aspect ratio for L-shaped, T-shaped, and C-shaped domains. The results cover both continuous and discrete versions of the Schwarz algorithm. Moreover, they apply to the nonoverlapping Schur complement algorithms with the preconditioner proposed in Chan. In particular, it is shown that the condition number of the preconditioned interface operator is bounded by 2 for all L-shaped and T-shaped domains. This improves similar geometry-independent convergence results for the Schur complement algorithms obtained previously by Chan and Resasco.</p

Palabras clave: calidad de agua, uso agrícola, humedal, Chan Chan.ABSTRACTThe present research had the main objetive to determine the quality of agricultural water at Nik- An (ex Tshudi) Wetland Palace, Chan Chan archaeological site - La Libertad, 2013. Collected samples were transported to the laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Microbiology and parasitology at the National University of Trujillo to evaluated the physical, chemical, microbiological parameters. Was obtained as a result of the physical parameters, pH, temperature (°C) except for electrical conductivity (ms/cm) were found that did not exceed the maximum permissible limits for agricultural purposes. The magnesium chemical parameters (mg/L), calcium (mg/L) and sodium (mg/L) exceeded total dissolved solids (mg/L), dissolved oxygen (mg/L), biochemical oxygen demand (mg/L) were found that did not exceed the maximum permissible limits and microbiological parameters , total coliforms (MPN/100 mL) except for fecal coliform (MPN/100 mL) were found that did not exceed the permissible limits, likewise the RAS index proved the water to be suitable for all soil types. Concluded that the water quality of the wetland Nik-An Palace is not suitable for agricultural purposes according to the parameters analyzed.Key words: water quality, agricultural, wetland, Chan Chan.Recibido: 11 julio de 2014Aceptado: 17 marzo de 201
