Introduction: Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula is an effective prescription in diabetic kidney disease treatment, we have confirmed the efficacy of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng therapy in diabetic kidney disease through clinical trials. In this study, we investigated the mechanisms of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease.Methods: We used Vanquish UHPLCTM to analyze the chemical profiling of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula freeze-dried powder. We constructed diabetic kidney disease rat models induced by unilateral nephrectomy and high-dose streptozocin injection. We examined blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, serum glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, serum total protein, albumin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase and 24 h urinary total protein in diabetic kidney disease rats. The renal pathological changes were observed by HE, Masson, PAS stanning and transmission electron microscopy. The levels of fibrosis-related proteins and mitophagy-related proteins were detected by western blot analysis. We also conducted an immunofluorescence co-localization analysis on podocytes to further investigate the effect of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula treatment on mitophagy.Results: A total of 27 constituents in Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula were tentatively identified. We found PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy was inhibited in diabetic kidney disease. Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula treatment could raise body weight and reduce renal index, reduce proteinuria, improve glycolipid metabolic disorders, ameliorate renal fibrosis, and reduce the expression of Col Ⅳ and TGF-β1 in diabetic kidney disease rats. Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula treatment could also increase the expression of nephrin, activate mitophagy and protect podocytes in diabetic kidney disease rats and high glucose cultured podocytes.Conclusion: PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy was inhibited in diabetic kidney disease, and Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula treatment could not only ameliorate pathological damage, but also promote mitophagy to protect podocytes in diabetic kidney disease.</p

Mosco convergence for H(curl) spaces, higher integrability for Maxwell’s equations, and stability in direct and inverse EM scattering problems
This paper is concerned with the scattering problem for time-harmonic electromagnetic waves, due to the presence of scatterers and of inhomogeneities in the medium. We prove a sharp stability result for the solutions to the direct electromagnetic scattering problem, with respect to variations of the scatterer and of the inhomogeneity, under minimal regularity assumptions for both of them. The stability result leads to bounds on solutions to the scattering problems which are uniform for an extremely general class of admissible scatterers and inhomogeneities. These uniform bounds are a key step in tackling the challenging stability issue for the corresponding inverse electromagnetic scattering problem. In this paper we establish two optimal stability results of logarithmic type for the determination of polyhedral scatterers by a minimal number of electromagnetic scattering measurements. In order to prove the stability result for the direct electromagnetic scattering problem, we study two fundamental issues in the theory of Maxwell equations: Mosco convergence for H(curl) spaces and higher integrability properties of solutions to Maxwell equations in nonsmooth domains
Preferential concentration of particles in compressible turbulence
The behavior of particles in compressible turbulence has been seldom investigated to date despite its importance in many natural and industrial flows. Direct numerical simulations of particle-laden compressible isotropic turbulence are performed to study the preferential concentration of particles and the underling mechanisms. It turns out that heavy particles tend to concentrate in regions of low enstrophy and high fluid density (i.e, strain regions between vortex rings), especially the particles of Kolmogorov scale, which show the largest number density. Due to the compressibility, fluid particles do not distribute uniformly as in incompressible case, but show a tendency to bunch up in high density zones. The preliminary result might give some insights into compressible turbulent transport, dispersion and mixing as well as the subgrid-scale modeling for large-eddy simulation of particle-laden compressible flows

Further evidence of superluminal active galactic nuclei as γ-ray sources
In our previous work in Xiao et al. (SCPMA, 2019, 62, 129811), we suggested that six superluminal sources could be γ-ray candidates, and in fact, five of them have been confirmed in the fourth Fermi-LAT source catalog (4FGL). In this work, based on the 4FGL, we report a sample of 229 Fermi detected superluminal sources (FDSs), including 40 new FDSs and 62 non-FDSs. Thus, we believe that all superluminal sources should have γ-ray emissions, and superluminal motion could also be a clue to detect γ-ray emission from active galactic nuclei. We present a new approach of Doppler factor estimate through the study of the γ-ray luminosity (Lγ) and of the viewing angle (φ)
