The topic of the thesis is \ue2An Analysis of Judge Lin\ue2. The following thesis will be divided into six different chapters. The introduction is Chapter one of the thesis, which is including researching motive and purpose, literature review of predecessors, researching version by existing information, raising questions, choosing research methods and arranging chapters. In chapter Two, I discuss the study of characters of Lin Ze-Xu, also makes a deep analysis of author\u27s purpose of writing him. In chapter Three, I analyze supporting actors and actress. Meanwhile, I illustrate author\u27s purpose of writing supporting actress because the author had different manner to describe supporting actress. Moving to the Chapter Four, I mainly focus on the plots of Judge Lin, and organize cases of Lin Ze-Xu and his subordinates to understand features of cases. In Chapter Five, I represent the causes of Opium War. China and England had difference of opinions of opium. Therefore, it is easier to comprehend what the author\u27s purpose is. Law–Morality Ideology in the Xi Jinping Era
No full textThis chapter examines key assertions about the nature of law and morality under the Xi Jinping administration, identifying that these assertions have been to frame and embed the Chinese Communist Party leadership’s ambitions ‘to lead over everything’ through greater supervision and discipline, including promoting morality-based ‘self-discipline’. In doing so, this chapter firstly looks at the rule of law discourse in the Xi era: how it has come to describe not only state law but also Party rules and modes of governance, including ‘governing the country by moral virtue’. This chapter then identifies how the current discourse has reignited the ideological import of morality from the Mao era and imperial political ideas to affirm the Party’s contemporary moral supremacy to ‘govern the nation according to law’ through socialist core values. Thus in China today, a particular brand of socialist morality is integrated into the overall legal–political mix to shape and justify the ideology of law–morality amalgam being instrumental to the Party’s ambition to bring about a rejuvenated and spiritually civilised well-off society.No Full Tex
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Holotype ♂: “ China: Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Menglong Town, Mengsong, 21°28’37’’N, 100°32’07’’E, 1570 m, 04.IV.2018, Peng, Shen & Cheng leg.” (SNUC); Paratypes: 1 ♂: same data as holotype (SNUC). Description. Measurements (in mm) and ratios: BL 6.45–7.23, FL 3.73–3.89, HL 0.88–0.92, HW 1.01–1.03, AnL 2.13–2.30, PL 1.13–1.14, PW 0.94–0.98, EL 1.16–1.20, AL 1.36–1.37, HL/HW 0.85–0.91, HW/PW 1.03–1.09, HL/PL 0.78–0.81, PL/PW 1.15–1.20, EL/PL 1.02–1.06. Habitus as in Fig. 2B. Body blackish brown, middle of elytra with yellowish spot not reaching lateral and posterior margins; legs brown with paler tarsi, antennae dark brown to light brown. Head weakly transverse, widest across eyes; posterior angles broadly rounded; punctation dense and coarse, sparser in median dorsal portion; interstices without microsculpture. Eyes large, more than half as long as distance from posterior margin of eye to neck in dorsal view. Pronotum lateral margins convex in dorsal view, punctation somewhat sparser than that of head, but with impunctate midline, interstices glossy. Elytral punctation coarse and dense, arranged in series; interstices without microsculpture. Hind wings apparently present. Abdomen punctation fine and dense; posterior margin of tergite VII with palisade fringe. Male. Sternites III–VI unmodified; sternite VII (Fig.4A) strongly transverse and with distinct median impression, this impression without pubescence, posterior margin broadly concave; sternite VIII (Fig. 4B) weakly transverse, with long and pronounced postero-median impression, this impression with moderately modified, stout and short black setae, posterior excision moderately broad and moderately deep, on either side of this excision with long dark setae; aedeagus as in Figs 4C, D, ventral process long, flattened, and apically convex in ventral view. Female. Unknown. Comparative notes. Regarding the morphology of the aedeagus, this species is similar to L. anatinum Li & Li, 2013, from which it is distinguished by somewhat smaller body size, lighter coloration of the body, the chaetotaxy of the male sternite VIII, and a stouter and more acute ventral process of aedeagus. For illustrations of L. anatinum see Li et al. (2013: figure 2). Etymology. The species is named after Zhi-Fei Cheng, who collected some of type specimens. Distribution and natural history. Lowest electronic states of neutral and ionic LiN
No full textWe have investigated the potential energy curves (PECs) of the LiN heteronuclear diatomic molecule, including its ionic species LiN+ and LiN−, using explicitly correlated multi-reference configuration interaction (MRCI-F12) calculations in conjunction with the correlation consistent quintuple- basis set. The effect of core–valence correlation, scalar relativistic effects, and the size of the basis sets has been investigated. A comprehensive set of spectroscopic constants determined based on the above-mentioned calculations are also reported for the lowest electronic states and all systems, including dissociation energies, harmonic and anharmonic vibrational frequencies, and rotational constants. Additional parameters, such as the dipole moments, equilibrium spin-orbit constants, excitation energies, and rovibrational energy levels, are also documented. We found that the three triplet states of LiN, namely, X 3∑−, A 3Π, and 2 3∑−, exhibit substantial potential wells in the PEC diagrams, while the quintet states are repulsive in nature. The ground state of the anion also shows a deep potential well in the vicinity of its equilibrium geometry. In contrast, the ground and excited states of the cation are very loosely bound. Charge transfer properties of each of these states are also analyzed to obtain an in-depth understanding of the interatomic interactions. The letter recounts information about the only baseball game where Hoy, a deaf athlete, was at-bat against Taylor, also a deaf athlete. Mentioned in the letter is a typewritten play by play of the same game, copied from the Enquirer of May 17, 1902. Also included is an envelope and newspaper articles. The envelope, from International League Information, is addressed to Ralph E Lin Weber and has handwritten lists of players of N.Y. and Cincinnati. The newspaper articles are from the Dayton Daily News and the Cincinnati Enquirer and feature pictures of William E. Hoy, the author of the letter
