Integrated Culture Tourism Resource In Wu-Feng Area
No full text[[abstract]]Culture Tourism is the main trend of the tourism development in the 21st century, our county and city governments committed to taking it forward gradually. However, the difficulties in integration of the resources must be overcame through the development of cultural tourism, to be discussed more in-depth with the case. This case study -Taichung Wu-Feng District, is a rich cultural village, equipped with cultural assets, to promote the development of cultural tourism years of efforts. This study has two purposes, one is to clarify the features of the development of the integration of the cultural tourism resources. Secondly, is to explore the strategy of the integration of culture tourism resources. The main research questions include four questions. One, how does culture tourism resources look like in Wu-Feng area? Two, what are the actions and achievement of the integration of culture tourism development in Wu-Feng area?Three, what are the environmental predicaments of integration of culture tourism development in Wu-Feng area?Four, what are the opportunities and strategies of the integration of culture tourism development in Wu-Feng area?
With ten major participants’ in-depth interviews who join the activities of the integration of cultural tourism resources, this study found Wu-Feng has many unique tangible and intangible cultural assets. Also it is equipped with these features :"convenient transportation", "many surrounding attractions" ,"community activists", " resource-rich in schools, industries, social clubs "and other development proficiencies, with a deeply potential culture tourism development. During these years, Wu-Feng district office, universities, farmers alliance, community and cultural groups also began to develop actions of the integration. While in the process, there are all kinds of integration difficulties, including: "institutional habits," "lack of cultural awareness", "lack of resources for promoting", etc. According to the interviewers' experiences to face with these difficulties which have already existed for a long time, in needs of continually integrating the resources by some strategies in the future , which include " Wu-Feng cultural construction " ,"partnership working connection ", " initiative leading demonstration " and "building up the interaction platform”. Looking at above, the development of the integration of the culture tourism resource is different from the general tourism development, such as the core is consensus and vision, cognition of culture connotation also important,which must continue to plow deeply. If only flows into a variety of temporary activities combination instead of a true integration, the development effectiveness will be limited

This collection includes audio recordings and transcripts of interviews with Asian Americans native to or living in Houston.Mrs. Diane Wu Feng and Mr. Willet Feng are owners of the restaurant Burger-Chan and Rice University alumni. In this interview, they discuss their journey to opening their business as well as the impacts COVID-19 had on their personal and professional lives. They have both explored different career paths and pursuits and have currently settled on Burger-Chan. During the pandemic, they have adapted new safety measures and restaurant services. They also discussed the impact the pandemic has on race relations by detailing the racist remarks thrown at them

The Moral and Racial Socialization of Children: The Image of Wu Feng in Taiwan School Readers
Full text linkThe Taiwanese legend of Wu Feng who supposedly died in the mid-18th century has passed down since the late Qing dynasty. Wu Feng was considered a righteous martyr-like figure who ultimately sacrificed himself in order to dissuade the Ali Mountain aborigines from their tradition of headhunting. This tale has evolved through different periods in Taiwanese history. The legend starting in the late Qing dynasty through Japanese Colonization, the early R.O.C. in Taiwan, and modern day Taiwan has been manipulated in a number of different ways and has been included as an example for moral education in Taiwan school textbooks until 1987. It seems that these changes or manipulations of the legend are indicative of broader changes occurring in Taiwanese society with a major transformation in race relations manifested in 1988. I will attempt to gain insight into the evolving school textbook version of the Wu Feng myth by studying its representation from the early 1950’s until the final version in 1987.Master of Arts (M.A.
Using Kano Two-Dimensional Quality Model to Explore the Service Quality of Farmer’s Association Distillery－An Example of Wu-Feng Farmer’s Association Distillery
No full text[[abstract]]This study uses Kano two-dimensional quality model to analyze and categorize the service quality of Wu-Feng farmer’s association distillery in Taichung city. Customer satisfaction coefficient is then applied to evaluate and identify the key service quality attributes in Wu-Feng farmer’s association distiller. The results of this study found that there are 10 key service quality attributes that are attractive quality items. The results of this study can be used as a reference for improving service quality of Wu-Feng farmer’s association distillery and other related industries

Coordinating human-UAV teams in disaster response
No full textWe consider a disaster response scenario where emergency responders have to complete rescue tasks in dynamic and uncertain environment with the assistance of multiple UAVs to collect information about the disaster space. To capture the uncertainty and partial observability of the domain, we model this problem as a POMDP. However, the resulting model is computationally intractable and cannot be solved by most existing POMDP solvers due to the large state and action spaces. By exploiting the problem structure we propose a novel online planning algorithm to solve this model. Specifically, we generate plans for the responders based on Monte-Carlo simulations and compute actions for the UAVs according to the value of information. Our empirical results confirm that our algorithm significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art both in time and solution quality
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
