Tutto è scherzo d’amore: padre José Maria Wisniewski entre memórias passadas, presentes e futuras
José Maria Wisniewski Filho (1913-1995) was a priest of the Roman Catholic
Church associated with the Verbo Divino Congregation, music composer, instrumentist and
choir conductor, translator and writer of liturgical works and children’s books, teacher of the
Academia School in Juiz de Fora, founder of the Mater Verbi Choir – Academia Boy’s Choir
(1953) and president/co-founder of the Brazilian National Federation of Boy’s Choir (1967).
The dissertation’s research entitled “Tutto è scherzo d’amore: Priest José Maria Wisniewski
between past, present and future memories” aims to rediscover and reinterpret the identity and
musical work of Priest José Maria through the lens of social memory according to the
elaborated concepts by Halbwachs, Gondar and Candau. For this, written sources located in
the Mater Verbi’s archive, such as personal diaries, chronicles of the choir and tomes of the
Academia school will be analysed. His personal diaries will be revisited in order to
comprehend who was this individual being for his community, questioning the autobiographic
phenomenon (Borges, Calligaris) and the matter-memory relations (Ariès, Bergson). Taking
the musical work of José Maria as part of the cecilian movement and post counciliar historical
musical backgroun, this dissertation work intended also to reunite and reorganize the priest’s
compositions. In the Mater Verbi Choir archive were found approximately 83 autoral pieces.
Entering the notions of archives (Farge) and recognizing this one specific as a place of
memory (Nora), the present dissertation aims to explore, alongside the written sources, how
the collective memory phenomenon and its ways of transmission work throughout the
centuries and in the contemporary (Le Goff, Bellotto, Assmann), considering possible
solutions to maintein the memory and José Maria’s archive in current use. Among them, this
work also mentions the musical reproduction through the contemporary medias (Baldutti e
Castello Branco, Flusser), the digital culture proposition and the photography as a
rememorizing support.
Brasil (1967).
procurou também reunir e reorganizar as composições do padre. No acervo do Coral Mater

ADJUNCTION FOR VARIETIES WITH A C* ACTION
Let X be a complex projective manifold, L an ample line bundle on X, and assume that we have a C* action on (X;L). We classify such triples (X; L;C*) for which the closure of a general orbit of the C* action is of degree ≤ 3 with respect to L and, in addition, the source and the sink of the action are isolated fixed points, and the C* action on the normal bundle of every fixed point component has weights ±1. We treat this situation by relating it to the classical adjunction theory. As an application, we prove that contact Fano manifolds of dimension 11 and 13 are homogeneous if their group of automorphisms is reductive of rank ≥ 2
