Butterfly Jump
Butterfly Jump tells the story of a scrappy, overweight woman from the wrong side of the tracks who is a single parent determined to have her children fit into the upper crust. Connie Noseworthy sends her children to a private Catholic school that educates in the Jesuit tradition of social justice thanks to a tuition assistance program for people in financial need. When Connie is judged by that world and her children are wrongfully removed from her care due to assumptions rooted more in class prejudices than fact, she must fight the system to get them back. In doing so, she undergoes a radical personal transformation. This film looks at working class life and its intersection or clash with the upper crust while telling a story of inner growth and spiritual transformation. Connie Noseworthy is our protagonist whose story carries the heart of the film

My Husbands Wife is an 8-part miniseries set in a Christian polygamous cult. The miniseries focuses on Maryline, a prickly young woman who rails against her role as the Cult Leaders sixth wife. When her husband marries again, Maryline finds herself romantically drawn to her new sister-wife, Angellee. Meanwhile, Officer Tali Cooper investigates the cult and is convinced its responsible for a string of disappearances spanning decades, including the disappearance of her cousin. The series examines the importance of autonomy, the dangers and virtues of faith, and the double-edged sword of desire. Inspired by Koopmans own religious upbringing, My Husbands Wife is a unique marriage between the aesthetic of Anne with an E and the urgency of The Handmaids Tale
What Keeps A Man Alive: Screenplay and Analysis
Set during WWII, What Keeps a Man Alive tracks the fate of a renowned filmmaker and a crew of concentration camp inmates after they are coerced into producing a fraudulent documentary to deceive inspectors from the Red Cross. Loosely based on events that transpired in Theresienstadt concentration camp in the summer of 1944, the screenplay explores themes of documentary bias, the thin line between truth and fiction, heroism and self-sacrifice, and the strength of familial bonds as they are tested in extreme conditions
Preceding Demons
Preceding Demons is a psychological period drama that explores the fictionalized relationship between Dracula novelist Bram Stoker and prodigious serial killer Jack The Ripper. Set in the years before both the infamous murders (1888-91) and the novels publication (1897) took the world by storm, this feature screenplay repurposes the Ripper as an enigmatic yet troubled Londoner destined to serve as the primary inspiration for Stokers legendary creation.
Best described as a dual-origin story for both iconic figures, Preceding Demons also illuminates Stokers struggles as a fledgling, doubt-addled writer, as well as his involvement with a murder investigation involving the Occult. A confluence of historical fact and bloodthirsty fiction, this work ultimately provides an ominous insight into the dark side of creativity; culled through the emotionally vampiric bond between a tortured artist and his twisted muse

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
