GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND PERFORMANCE OF PURIFIED DRINKING WATER FACTORIES (Ma Khin Sandar Win, Nov, 2018)
The aim of this research was to identify green supply chain management practicesimplemented bypurified drinking water factories in Shwe Pyi Thar industrial Zone and to determine the effect of implementation of green supply chain management practices on performanceof purified drinking water factories in Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone. The primary data and secondary were used.The primary data were collected by interviewing with 100 employees (50%) who have responsibilities of the sample purified drinking water factories.Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were used.It found out that firms appreciate the role of green supply chain management practices which are green procurement practices, green manufacturing practices, green distribution practices and reverse logistics practices. Among them, green distribution practices have highest mean scores.The relationship between GSCM practices and firm performance are as follows: all of the practices are significant relationship with operational performance except green manufacturing practices. Both the green procurement and green manufacturing practices are significant relationship with financial performance except green distribution and reverse logistics practices. Finally, only green manufacturing practices are significant relationship with environmental performance except remaining practices. The study also confirmed that GSCM practices are important in improving the performance of firms. The study recommends that the implementation of GSCM should be implemented purified drinking water factories because there are benefits that accrue from such implementation. Firms will benefit through increased use of recyclable materials, savings on costs due to effective utilization of available productive resources, reduction of the environmental impact of business processes and reduction of operational costs and risk of prosecution based on anti-environment reasons

Pedagogic Strategies for Explaining Anaphora and its Antecedent
This research is mainly concerned with anaphora and its antecedent, a word or phrase which
refers back to another word or phrase in text. Anaphora can help the students understand the text
in the context thoroughly. Without comprehending them, it is not easy to grasp the messages
conveyed in the text. Thus, this research focuses on anaphora and points out that it plays an
important role to understand the specific texts. This paper attempts to highlight on how to develop
reading skills through anaphora. And it may also provide the effective teaching strategies for
explaining anaphora and its antecedent in reading passages. This research will be, to some extent,
helpful to all students, especially for the undergraduate students from all specializations since they
can apply these strategies to develop their reading skill
Polycrystalline Phase Formation of Magnesium Ferrite, MgFe2O4 Investigated by X-Ray Diffraction and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic Methods
Magnesium ferrite spinel, MgFe2O4 was prepared by conventional solid state reaction method at 1100C for 22 h in vacuum chamber. Structural and vibrational characteristics of the sample were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic methods. Crystal structure, lattice parameters and crystallite size of the sample were examined. Vibrational characteristics and mode assignments of the sample were analyzed to investigate the polycrystalline phase formation of the sample
Study on Microstructural and Temperature Dependent Electrical Conductivity of Magnesium Ferrite, MgFe2O4
Magnesium Ferrite, MgFe2O4, was prepared by solid state reaction method. Analar grade Magnesium Oxide, MgO and Ferric Oxide, Fe2O3 with stoichiometric composition were used to prepare the sample. Morphological features of the as-prepared sample were studied by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). SEM micrograph shows that the sample is circular shape with the grain sizes 0.10 m – 0.50 m and the samples are homogeneous. Temperature dependent electrical conductivities of the sample were investigated in the temperature range 300 K – 973 K. Experimental results show that the sample is a fast ion conductor in high temperatures
Teaching Prepositions to First Year English Specialization Students through Context-based Approach
The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the contextualized or functional grammar instruction in improving the writing performance of English language learners (ELL). This paper studies to teach grammar in EFL context using context-based grammar teaching approach and evaluates its impact on first year EFL learners to find the effect of context-based grammar on the EFL learners. 60 English language learners were divided into two groups. The first group was received just the traditional grammar instruction and the second group was treated with prepositions in context. Then they were given the same test. The findings indicated that there was a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, it is concluded that the treatment on experimental group caused significant improvement in their writing ability. It is also expected this study will give the teachers the opportunity to reflect on their teaching strategies and consider better ways to teach grammar in the future. Therefore, having the intention to work with this particular group in the future, I believed that such experiment would provide me with valuable input and will help me reflect and deepen my understanding of my teaching acts in the future
OCCURRENCE OF MICROORGANISMS IN THE MYA KAN THAR LAKE, LOILEM TOWNSHIP, SOUTHERN SHAN STATE
The present study revealed that the composition and amount of microorganisms in the water sample of Mya Kan Thar Lake, Loilem Township. There are four groups of microorganisms such as phytoplankton's groups (Phyla Chlorophyta and Euglephyta), diatoms groups (phylum Chrysophyta), cyanobacteria groups (phylum Cyanophyta) and zooplanktons groups (Phyla Protozoa, Rotifera, Ciliophora, Arthropoda and Ascheminthes) were divided from the results of present study. The study period lasted from June, 2016 to November, 2016. Recorded microorganisms including nine phyla, 18 classes, 23 orders, 29 families, 51 genera and 38 species were found. Among four groups the largest total numbers and percentage (%) of recorded zooplanktons group were 100-140 and 52.46% during study period. The second largest total numbers and percentage (%) of recorded Diatoms group were 80-140 and 21.28%. The total numbers and percentage (%) of recorded phytoplanktons group were 80-100 and 18.43% during study period. The lowest total numbers and percentage (%) of recorded cyanobacteria group were 15-80 during study period. According to the results it may be therefore concluded that Mya Kan Thar Lake can be assumed non-polluted still now. On the other hand the results indicated that the water of this Lake is oligotrophic condition. The results will also provide a tool for biomonitoring of aquatic status and environmental health in natural aquatic ecosystem and to know about this Lake is suitable for resort people coming in the Mya Kan Thar Park, Loilem Township
Characterization and Dielectric Properties of LaMnO3 Nanofibers
A new approach, combining sol-gel process with electrospinning technique was used to prepare LaMnO3 /PVA composite nanofibers. In this research work, LaMnO3 nanopowders were firstly prepared by calcination of composite carbonate at 1000 °C for 30 min. Electrospinning technique has been extensively explored as a simple and versatile method for drawing nanofibers from polymer solutions. LaMnO3 / PVA perovskite-type nanofibers were obtained after annealed at 500 °C, 600 °C, 700 °C and 800 °C for 2 h respectively. Novel polycrystalline LaMnO3 nanofibers were yielded at different temperatures as the final products. Phase formation and crystal structure of LaMnO3 nanopowders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) images revealed that LaMnO3 as-spun nanofibers on Al foils were attracted to be in the range of 60 nm to 120 nm in diameters with electrospinning set-up for 20 min. The modification and functionalize sample surface at a nanometer range of LaMnO3 nanofibers were examined by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The dielectric properties of LaMnO3 nanofibers were identify by C-f, r-f, tan -f and ac-f characteristics. The qualifications of LaMnO3 nanofibers were successfully yielded by the electrospinning technique as final products. The results obtained from this research will lead to enable new levels of electronic applications, biomedical applications and protective clothing as the field of nanotechnology
Effect of Mn Substitution on Structural, Microstructural, Nonvolatile Memory and Switching Behaviour of Bi4Ti3O12 Thin Films
Manganese (Mn) doped Bismuth Titanate (Bi4Ti3O12 ) powders (BMT) were prepared by solid state mixed oxide route and annealed at 1000ºC to become polycrystalline powders. Bi4MnxTi(3-x)O12 / n-Si (x= 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4) thin films were also prepared by own solbased method, spray pyrolysis coating techniques and heat treated at 600ºC. X-ray diffraction (XRD) investigation was carried out to examine the structural properties of BMT powder. The microstructural characteristics of the films were determined by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) spectroscopy. For the ferroelectric characterization and non-volatile memory effect, 100 kHz and 10V thermal hysteresis loop were observed by Sawyer-Tower circuit. The composition dependence of the transient current characteristic in the sample had been studied by I-t measurement in the different frequencies. From the experimental results the transient switching time was faster and faster with increasing Mn compositions
Chemical Analysis of Two Commercial Dried Fish Samples
"Dried fish are very popular in Myanmar and some of these have been marketed abroad.
Dried fish is an important source of low-cost dietary protein. Chemical investigations of
two dried fish samples of Coilia ramcarati (Myee-tan-thwe) and Channa striatus (Nga-yant)
which are widely consumed in Myanmar were carried out. The samples were purchased
from Shwe Yin Mon market, Chan Aye Thar San Township in Mandalay Region. Some
physiochemical properties such as pH, moisture, ash, protein, fat, fibre and carbohydrate
contents of the two samples were determined by Association Official Analytical Chemist
(AOAC) method. Moreover, the elemental composition of the two samples were carried out
by using Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) method.
