Customer Switching Behaviour at Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (Win Win Khin, 2025)
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing consumer switching
behaviour toward Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) services. The scope
of the study focuses on five main determinants: service quality, price, technology
innovation, promotional packages, and network communication, targeting both urban
and rural MPT users to capture regional variations. A quantitative research method was
employed using a structured questionnaire, distributed to a sample of 400 customers
selected. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and
multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that service quality, network
communication, promotional packages, and technology innovation significantly
influence switching behaviour, whereas price does not have a significant effect. Among
these, service quality has the strongest impact, followed by network communication.
These results indicate that customers are more concerned with service performance,
network reliability, and value-added features than with pricing alone. Therefore, it is
recommended that MPT prioritize improving service quality and network
infrastructure, offer attractive promotional strategies, and keep pace with technological
advancements to enhance customer retention and reduce churn

This study analyzes knowledge and awareness of Youth Participation in the
Myanmar Elections 2020 and youth’s knowledge on Myanmar Youth Policy. In this
study, the descriptive method is used based on the primary data through online google
form survey. The survey data was collected through social media platform (Facebook)
from the network of the author, friends and friends of friends, thus participants were
not selected systematically. It was because the survey data collection time was
coinciding with 2nd wave Covid 19 pandemic therefor face to face data collection was
not possible. A total of 672 respondents of youths (aged 18 to 35) from the 14 Regions
and States as well as from Nay Pyi Taw Council (the Administrative Capital of
Myanmar) participated in this survey. It is noteworthy that most of all youths know
their eligibility to cast vote for 2020 general elections. The majority of youths already
decided to vote in the 2020 general elections. However, youths did not focus much
about selecting youth candidacy or representatives in both Union Level and States &
Regions parliaments. Regarding the awareness about Myanmar Youth Policy, or the
content of policy, it was found that only (9.1 per cent) knew the correct year of the
released date for Myanmar Youth Policy, only (3.7 per cent) realized the “9 Basic
Principles” and (8.0 per cent) had a knowledge about the part of political affairs under
the main sectors of Youth Policy. Nearly half of the respondents (46.3 per cent)
answered the correct answer for youth aged ranged 15- 35 years old. Regarding the
ladder of participation, about (23 per cent) realized “Young people’s initiative,
decisions made in partnership with adults, which is the highest level of the ladder.
Accordingly, it would be better if that kind of idea could be tried to maintain
A Study on Employability and Career Development of Pharmacists in Myanmar ( Khin Thu Zar Win , 2025)
The pharmaceutical workforce plays a vital role in strengthening healthcare systems and ensuring rational medicine use in Myanmar. This study aims to analyze the current employment availability of pharmacy graduates from the University of Pharmacy, Yangon, across both public and private sectors, and to examine the challenges affecting their employability and career development. Using a descriptive method, data was collected via an online survey with structured questionnaires. Findings indicate that the pharmacist workforce in Myanmar is predominantly young, female, and concentrated in urban areas, with a strong baseline of full-time employment across diverse sectors. While pharmacists demonstrate high intrinsic motivation for continuous learning and career planning, significant systemic barriers impede their long-term professional development. A notable proportion of respondents have considered or are actively pursuing international migration for better career prospects, underscoring dissatisfaction with domestic opportunities. Pharmacists also expressed a strong belief that their profession is not sufficiently recognized or valued within the Myanmar healthcare system

The objective of the study is to identify the business process reengineering practices of Myanmar Citizens Bank and to analyze challenges of BPR implementation in MCB. To achieve these objectives both primary and secondary data are collected and questionnaires are distributed among 150 customers and 70 employees of Myanmar Citizen Bank. The study is the period from starting BPR implementation 2016 to 2018. It shows how existing processes benefit the bank and highlight the conditions to establish precedence for the initiation of BPR. The infrastructure changes include a successful and efficient Information Technology system, a review of Human Resources assets and successful implementation by a trained and motivated workforce. The thesis also show the difficulties expected when trying to implement BPR and how these can be overcome by being specific about the processes to be re-engineered and the vital role that IT can play. It also illustrate how important that planning is in the BPR Process. This study has indicated that BPR in MCB has not had as positive affect as expected due to improper or incomplete knowledge of BPR and a lack of understanding of the BPR process and initiate of too many processes by management leading to confusion and overstretching of resources. Therefore the study suggest that management to be totally committed to implementation of the process and assign resources and training. Lastly, training of all personnel is vital to the success of the BPR
Perception on Remittances of Rural Households (Case Study: Hpa-An Township, Kayin State) (Nan Khin Nyo Win, 2024))
Remittances are a vital income source for households in Myanmar, significantly
contributing to positive welfare outcomes. This study examines perceptions of
remittances and household expenditure among recipients in rural Kayin State. Utilizing
a descriptive approach, the research involves face-to-face interviews with heads of
households and other members receiving remittances from overseas migrants. A total
of 303 respondents were selected from 10 villages in Hpa-An Township. The study
reveals that remittances play a crucial role in fulfilling essential needs such as food,
housing, healthcare, and education, while also support social and cultural activities. The
findings indicate that both primary income and remittance income in these rural
households tend to be directed more towards immediate consumption and social
functions rather than savings and investments in productive activities. To foster greater
investment in agriculture, small businesses, and livestock ventures, the study suggests
creating investment opportunities such as community-based funds and micro
investment programs. Additionally, establishing savings groups or cooperatives could
enhance local investment and economic development. It is also recommended to
promote infrastructure projects and generate employment opportunities to support
community development and sustainable livelihoods
