No full textThe economic growth of a country can be one of the determining aspects of a
country's progress. The establishment of an economic-based institution whose
formation and management are directly managed by the village community. One of
the supporters of this economic growth comes from the village economy, the
strength of the economy in the village will have an impact on the national economy.
The government then uses new methods orsteps that are expected to drive thewheels
of the village economy through the establishment of an economic institution that is
fully managed by the village community, namely theVillageOwnedEnterprise (BUM
Desa). The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the Sri Rejeki Village
Owned Enterprise in improving the economy of the Nglurup Village community.
The problem is focused on the role of the Sri Rejeki Village-Owned Enterprises to
improve the community's economy. To approach this problem, the reference used
to describe the role of Village-Owned Enterprises is Mardikanto's theory regarding
the achievement of community empowerment goals, namely institutional
improvement, business improvement, and income improvement. This type of
research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The technique of determining the
informant used the snowball technique, while the technique of collecting data
through primary data was obtained through interviews while secondary data was
obtained through observation, documentation, articles, literature, journals and
then analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study are the Village-Owned
Enterprises "Sri Rejeki" after reorganizing and operating again have made
institutional improvements, business improvements and income improvements to
improve the economy of the Nglurup Village community although there are still
obstacles. The conclusion of this study is that the role of the Village-Owned
Enterprise "Sri Rejeki" has not been maximized in improving the community's
economy due to constraints in the form of budget cuts due to Covid-19 causing some
plans to not be implemented.
