No full textDie Broschuere fasst die Referate und die Diskussionsbeitraege einer Tagung ueber prekaere Beschaeftigungsverhaeltnisse thematisch gegliedert zusammen. Die Fachtagung 'konzentrierte sich auf drei besonders haeufige Erscheinungsformen prekaerer Beschaeftigung: auf sozialversicherungsfreie geringfuegige Beschaeftigungsverhaeltnisse, auf Leiharbeit und auf Scheinselbstaendigkeit. Die Veranstaltung trug zum Informations- und Erfahrungsaustausch ueber die Verbreitung, die Erscheinungsformen und die Ursachen des Phaenomens sowie ueber den Missbrauch bei. Die Auswirkungen auf den Arbeitsmarkt, auf die Arbeitsbeziehungen in den Betrieben, auf den Fiskus und auf das System der sozialen Sicherung wurden analysiert und kritisch diskutiert. Bei der abschliessenden Podiumsdiskussion wurden sodann der Handlungsbedarf und die Handlungsmoeglichkeiten der zustaendigen Akteure ausgeleuchtet und moegliche Strategien und gesetzgeberische Wege zur Bekaempfung der Missstaende aufgezeigt.' Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textBei dem vorliegenden Beitrag handelt es sich um den Tagungsband der Konferenz 'Auf dem Wege zu einem besseren gesundheitlichen Verbraucherschutz in Deutschland und Europa', die am 2. Mai 2001 in Berlin stattfand und von der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung veranstaltet wurde. Die Tagung stellte Antworten auf die Vielzahl von Fragen sowie Standpunkte von Politik, Landwirtschaft, Ernaehrungsindustrie, Handel, Forschung, Rechtswissenschaft und insbesondere Verbraucherverbaenden vor. Sie bot Gelegenheit, Informationen zu sammeln, Schwachstellen des bisherigen Systems zu beleuchten und eine ausfuehrliche Debatte mit allen Betroffenen ueber effektive Massnahmen zu fuehren. Der vorliegende Tagungsband dokumentiert die Ergebnisse: Im ersten Teil werden die Positionen der einzelnen Akteure dargestellt, im zweiten Teil die Ziele und Massnahmen fuer einen vorsorgenden gesundheitlichen Verbraucherschutz diskutiert.
