Yu-Chi Wang
Born in Taipei City, Taiwan (Republic of China), Yu-Chi Wang earned his Bachelor’s degree in law from National Taiwan University. At the suggestion of one of his professors, Wang applied and was accepted into the Indiana University School of Law’s LLM program. He received the degree in 1993, and later returned to Indiana to become the school’s first Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) degree recipient.
Wang returned to Taiwan and began a career as an academic, teaching at the Graduate School of Social Informatics at Yuan-Ze University. He also taught in the Department of Law at Shih-Hsin University, becoming a respected and known expert in privacy and telecommunications law. In 2005, Wang joined the Science and Technology Law Center of the Institute for Information Industry, and ultimately became the Center’s Director. From 2008 until 2016, Wang served in the administration of President Ma Ying-Jeou, in a variety of positions, including: Secretary and Spokesperson, Senior Advisor to the National Security Council, and Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council. During his government service, he was the first cabinet member of Taiwan to lead and official delegation to mainland China since the two countries separated. He also was the first Minister to hold official meetings with his mainland China counterpart.
Wang returned to the Department of Law at Shih-Hsin University in 2016 as an associated professor. Yu-Chi Wang is a founding member of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law’s Global Advisory Board and was inducted into the Maurer School of Law’s Academy of Law Alumni Fellows in 2018.https://www.repository.law.indiana.edu/notablealumni/1146/thumbnail.jp

The political role of the people's liberation army 1949-1973
This thesis is to study the political role of the People's Liberation Army from the approach of structure and function. The framework of the thesis consists of three major parts, first, the influence of Chinese traditional political culture on, and the formation of, the political role of the PL A; second, the influence of domestic political struggles and external military conflicts on the development of the political role of the PLA; and the third, the analysis of the transition of the PLA's political role from the structure and personnel arrangements of the CCPCC Within the above-mentioned three scopes, this thesis make a thorough discussion on the following: (1) The relationship between the structure of the PRC and the formation of the PLA's political role; (2) How has ideology influenced the army's political role; (3) What is Mao's viewpoint and his influence on the development of the army's political role; (4) What is the link between the army and the party, and how has this developed; (6) What accounts for the expansion of the PLA's political functions; (7) What is the influence of political factional struggles on the PLA's political role; (8) Is it political institution or military institution that controls the recruitment of the military elite; (9) What are the disparities between the military elite in handling international conflicts and what are their political considerations; (10) What is the Party's position in the army; (11) How have the Party’s important meetings and personnel arrangements influenced the rise and fall of the PLA's political role

Alignment Calibration of Doppler Velocity Log and Attitude Sensors
Precise positioning is essential for the success of undersea resource investigation, offshore oil drilling, pipeline laying and maintenance, and underwater rescue and recovery. Although the Doppler velocity log (DVL) system is quite effective for subsea navigation, it subjects to various potential sources of error such as alignment and travel times. With regard to the alignment error, it usually occurs in the installation of DVL and separate attitude sensors. The calibration of alignment between sensors is always a problem needed to be solved for precision navigation. To estimate the angular misalignments between the DVL and the attitude sensors, this study proposes a DVL positioning scheme for surge and sway motions. Then, mathematical representations of positioning error arising from heading, pitch, and roll misalignments are derived, respectively. The effect of each misalignment angle and how the differences can be used to calibrate each misalignment angle in turn are presented. An iterative algorithm that takes advantage of the geometry of position errors resulting from angular misalignments is developed for DVL calibration. Numerical simulations and experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the iterative algorithm. The simulation and experimental results have shown that the estimates of alignment errors obtained at the first iteration are close to being correct. Moreover, only a few iterations are required to achieve very accurate solutions. Results in this study strongly support superiority of the proposed iterative algorithm which yields a very rapid and robust convergence of the solution series

Research on the Innovation Business Strategy in the Hotel Industry
Before the epidemic, OTAs used their channel advantages, such as multi-language platforms, dynamic itineraries, and channel marketing expertise, to develop many foreign tourists for hotels. However, during the epidemic, countries have successively issued travel bans, and OTA platforms have also increased their share of the tourism market in their own markets. They have begun to offer discounts and keyword advertisements. As a result, the original hotel can control the source of tourists by about half. The net profit contributed by passengers who book rooms on the platform is much less than before, so the OTA platform has changed from the original preference to cooperation to a more similar competitive relationship after the epidemic.
This study discusses OTA strategies and practices and the general hotel industry from analytical tools. The development strategy finds that after using OTA to introduce first-time customers into the store, making good use of the membership system, better hotel experience, and direct feedback to customers, it will be more effective. Creating higher profits is also the key to the sustainable and long-term development of an enterprise. This research uses qualitative methods such as PEST analysis, five forces analysis, OTA platform related literature review, strategic management, SWOT analysis, corporate governance and other qualitative methods to discuss case companies, and in-depth analysis concludes that the practice of co-opetition strategies and other complementary behaviors after the epidemic.
This research studies the development trend of Taiwan's general hotel industry and the business model of Taiwan's general hotel industry and concludes that the strategy and practice of the competition and cooperation relationship between Taiwan's general hotel industry and OTA platforms provides a new option for the industry besides competition and cooperation
