Wagner for the presentation of a political address. The speaker introduces war correspondent, writer, and commentator Quentin Reynolds who, in turn, introduces Wagner. Wagner claims that the American People have three overwhelming aims: victory, peace, and prosperity. Wagner goes on to say that the Republican Presidential candidate Thomas E. Dewey is not a big enough man to lead the United States to the three aims they seek. He chides Dewey for minimizing the responsibility of President Franklin D. Roosevelt during wartime in order to disparage the President. Wagner champions Roosevelt's accomplishments throughout the war effort including his ability to maintain national morale. Only Roosevelt, so says Wagner, can achieve the three aims that the American People seek
