The HR department meets the entire necessities of the recruits from remuneration to rewards, hiring to firing recruits and further significant and essential development trainings. This report has two parts: one is delineating theoretical aspects of HRM, broadly described training and development process and procedures of training and development in BRAC Bank Ltd. To know the details of the company we interviewed some HR personnel of BRAC Bank Ltd. and other information were collected and gathered with the help of internet. BRAC Bank Ltd. is the organization where actually the HR activities are applied with a huge effort, and the outcome is very satisfying. Since the independence of Bangladesh, BRAC Bank Ltd. conducted their operations as it has a very strong network throughout the country. In addition, they got huge employee networks, with huge operations. However, due to the failure in their strategic decision and inefficient management of employees BRAC Bank Ltd. lagged behind in the last few years. The report shows how they are ineffective in employee management in regard of training and development procedure. Their Training Need Assessment (TNA) comes as complete vague and total failure. The methods that they formulate in action are not enough to support employee development. BRAC Bank Ltd. still has a better opportunity to fight back against all odds. BRAC Bank Ltd. has to follow the standard that they prepare for training methods in order to maintain the employee satisfaction and employee development. Enzyme activities and biotechnological applications of cold-active microfungi
No full textFungi are eukaryotic organisms and considered to be less adaptable to extreme environments when compared to bacteria. While there are no thermophilic microfungi in a strict sense, some fungi have adapted to life in the cold. Cold-active microfungi have been isolated from the Antarctic and their enzyme activities explored with a view to finding new candidates for industrial use. On another front, environmental pollution by petroleum products in the Antarctic has led to a search for, and the subsequent discovery of, fungal isolates capable of degrading hydrocarbons. The work has paved the way to developing a bioremedial approach to containing this type of contamination in cold climates. Here we discuss our efforts to map the capability of Antarctic microfungi to degrade oil and also introduce a novel cold-active fungal lipase enzyme

Every bank has their own specific strategy without that the establishment of a bank is impossible. Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. Also has a specific strategy with the focus of one counter service to the clients. Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. is a second generation commercial private bank which supports social work extensively and is one of the largest private donors in Bangladesh. This bank has started its journey under the vision of its chairman and founder M Sahabuddin Ahmed, in order to help the people all over Bangladesh. DBBL has its greatest contribution in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR). Their focused areas of CSR are mainly education, health, disaster relief, sports, social awareness and social development. To do so they need to make both their employees and customers happy.
This report contains the various job positions and facilities provided by the bank. Furthermore, this report also contains the CSR of the bank. DBBL is not only committed to meet the ethical values but also has its banking culture and environment favorable. As they invest most of their profit in CSR activities thus they need to expand their social welfare activities and awareness a lot so that people may get to know a lot about the facilities. Also they should expand their promotional activities to compete with the competitors. However, the continuous process of services and development will certainly place the bank in the best position within a decade. It will create both long term profitability and sustainability of the bank as well as enhance the reputation of the bank in the society.
The primary data which I collected here is by doing a little survey internally which was answered by the respective General Banking in charge Mr. Md. Faezul Azam Sir. The secondary data has been collected from the websites and the most recently published annual reports of the bank. Understanding the microbial ecology of chicken litter in the context of odour production
Get PDFThe results presented in this thesis represent a contribution to our understanding of the microbial ecology of chicken litter in the context of odorant compound production. It has become clear that the microbial community in the chicken litter environment evolves throughout the chicken grow-out cycle and the trajectory of that evolution is influenced heavily by moisture content. Microbial biomass as indicated by DNA yields was higher and bacterial community composition was more diverse, even and dynamic in wet litter.
Bacillus, Atopstipes, Clostridium and Lactobacillus lineages were dominant in wet litter community fingerprints and displayed strong positive correlations with a number of VOCs tested. The relative abundance of Lactobacillus displayed strong positive correlations with the highest number of VOCs tested followed by Clostridium and Atopostipes. The absolute abundance of Lactobacillus lineages also displayed strong positive correlations with the highest number of VOCs tested followed by Atopostipes and Bacillus. Some of the VOCs such as 3-hydroxy-2-butanone, dimethyl disulfide, acetic acid, butanoic acid, 2-butanone and phenol strongly correlated with these bacterial lineages were also detected as odorants from emissions of broiler sheds and chicken litter. It was concluded that these bacterial lineages are the most likely key players in odour production in broiler sheds.
Odorant profiles of bacterial species such as Lactobacillus pobuzihii, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Proteus mirabilis and Staphylococcus cohnii isolated from chicken litter were assessed in different types of broth media including chicken litter broth. A Proteus mirabilis isolate was also found to produce 2,3-butanedione, 3-hydroxy-2-butanone, and dimethyl disulfide and a Staphylococcus cohnii isolate was found to produce dimethyl disulfide. This supports the notion that in addition to major contributors, many bacterial lineages in chicken litter are likely to be making minor contributions to odorant production and hence total emission rates. These conclusions may prove useful in the design of odour abatement strategies either by inactivating key enzymes of the metabolic pathways leading to key odorants production with the aid of enzyme inhibitor or by destroying the optimum growth conditions of the bacterial species implicated in odour production to control emissions from broiler sheds as the poultry industry continues to grow

intention behind this report is to spread awareness about income tax among its readers, to
make income tax laws of Bangladesh easier to the general masses so that they are able to
understand the laws and the importance of paying taxes. Here I have talked about past
performance of NBR (National Board of Revenue) for collecting tax, expected tax collection and
achieved portion for assessment year 2015‐2016, I have also talk about the income tax law
according income tax ordinance 1984, the changes brought to the law for assessment year
2015‐2016 and the process of filling up a income tax return. I have also tried to provide a few
recommendations for improving future performance.
I hope this report will be helpful for both new and old tax payers to understand the dynamics of

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
