No full textThe main aim of the paper is to identify the succession strategies (especially the ways in which they attempt to balance the strive to maintain family’s control over the company with the goal of firm’s growth) of the first generation of Polish entrepreneurs. Research survey was conducted on a random sample of 496 family enterprises in first quarter of 2009 (first phase, survey) and 61 family enterprises in third quarter of 2009 (second phase, in-depth-interview). No full textWe define a family of Coleman maps for positive crystalline p-adic representations of the absolute Galois group of Qp using the theory of Wach modules. Let f be a normalized new eigenform and p an odd prime at which f is either good ordinary or supersingular. By applying our theory to the p-adic representation associated to f, we define Coleman maps Col_i for i = 1, 2 with values in Qp ⊗Zp Λ, where
Λ is the Iwasawa algebra of Zp× . Applying these maps to the Kato zeta elements gives a decomposition of the (generally unbounded) p-adic L-functions of f into linear combinations of two power series of bounded coefficients, generalizing works of Pollack (in the case ap = 0) and Sprung (when f corresponds to a supersingular elliptic curve). Using ideas of Kobayashi for elliptic curves which are supersingular at p, we associate to each of these power series a Λ-cotorsion Selmer group. This allows us to formulate a "main conjecture". Under some technical conditions, we prove one inclusion of the "main conjecture" and show that the reverse inclusion is equivalent to Kato’s main conjecture

No full textRegional circumstances play a crucial role in socio-economic situation of labour market. Its competitiveness depends not only on measurable factors, but also on soft factors. Nowadays more and more researchers and scientists pay their attention to the importance of social capital. Fragmentariness of scientific knowledge based on empirical investigation con-ducted in Polish reality, makes the author to prepare own empirical research in this field. The aim of the paper is to present the result of the research conducted in Southern Poland in late-2004. The region was defined as the area of two provinces Małopolska and Śląsk, but the choice was not stochastic. These provinces makes one region according to NUTS-1 nomen-clature. The research was conducted on a random sample of 109 small and medium-sized en-terprises localized in Southern Poland. Descriptive statistics (arithmetic average, median, mo-dal, quartile) as well as verifying tools (chi-square statistics, U Mann Whitney test) were used in order to verify the hypotheses.regional labour markets (R23), geographic labour mobility (J61), regional economics (R19), personnel economics (M59)

No full textS.13-15Die TEMEX-Betriebsversuche, welche der flächendeckenden Bereitstellung dieses neuen Datenübermittlungsdienstes durch die Deutsche Bundespost vorgeschaltet waren, werden im Hinblick auf Teilnehmer, finanzielles Engagement und Anwendungen beschrieben. Dabei handelt es sich um die Ergebnisse der Begleitforschung dieser Betriebsversuche. Um die Spannweite der gewonnenen Einsatzmöglichkeiten von TEMEX darzustellen, zeigt der Autor zunächst unsystematisch diverse Anwendungsfälle auf, die danach bereichsspezifisch zugeordnet werden. Dabei wird gegenwärtig eine starke Dominanz von Anwendungen im Wach- und Sicherheitsbereich festgestellt. Darüber hinaus werden von TEMEX Innovationsschübe im Umweltschutz und in der rationellen Energienutzung ausgehen. Der Trend zu komplexeren Anwendungen wird anhand von möglichen Einsatzfeldern im Gefahrenmeldebereich, der Überwachung, Steuerung von Gebäuden und dem Umweltschutz beschrieben. Abschließend werden für den Wach- und Sicherheitsbereich die in den Betriebsversuchen erkannten Hauptvorteile des TEMEX-Einsatzes gegenüber der konventionellen Wähltechnik zusammengefaßt und ihre Begründung dafür abgegeben

Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)
No full textThis study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
