    No full text
This research maims to determine the effect of sugar proportion on the characteristics of star fruit drinks ( Averrhoa Bilimbi). This research was conducted at the Product Development and Food Analysis Laboratory,  Muhammadiyah University Of Sidoarjo from May to June 2024. This book uses the Multiple Attribute tes methodology of commonly called the Zeleny method. The Zeleny method itself was chosen to determine the best treatment from the 8 treatment samples obtained. In the final results, it was found that the best treatment for this tes was in the R1U2 sample with water content ( 70,90), antioxidant ( 86,00), Vitamin C (1,72), Total Dissolved Solids (32), L color (32,61), a* color ( 1,87), and b* color ( 1,14). &nbsp

Characteristics of Dried Candied Albedo Watermelon fruit (Citrullus lanatus) on Various Drying Times and Concentrations of Sugar (Succrose): Karakteristik Manisan Kering Albedo Buah Semangka (Citrullus lanatus) pada Berbagai Lama Pengeringan dan Konsentrasi Gula (Sukkrosa)

The albedo of watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is the part of the watermelon that cannot be consumed.  Based on the results of the research panel, it can be concluded that the drying time and various variations in sugar (sucrose) concentration tend to cause dry candied albedo watermelon to produce a dry texture, high yellowness value, low water content, reduced sugar and the highest antioxidant activity. The higher the drying temperature tends to cause the texture to become harder, the yellowness value to increase, the water content to decrease, the sugar content to increase, and the antioxidant activity to be higher

This study held in January 2022 – February 2022 in Kejapanan Village, Gempol District, Pasuruan using Group Random Design prepared by Qualitative Descriptive Analysis, as for the following treatment: Monday with basmallah, Tuesday with basmallah, Wednesday with basmallah, Thursday with basmallah, Friday with basmallah also Monday without basmallah, Tuesday without basmallah, Wednesday without basmallah, Thursday without bismillah, Friday without basmallah. The results of the study showed Thursday with basmallah had the highest plant length size of 26.93 and on Wednesday with basmallah had the highest leaf count size of 34.67 and on Monday with basmallah has the highest number of saplings per plant at 7.33 It was also seen in the yield of onion plants for Wednesday with basmallah and Thursday with basmallah giving the highest yield for bulb wet weight of 1151 gr and 1049 gr and having the highest dry weight of 618 gr and 609 gr

Effect Maltodextrin Concentration and Drying Time Characteristics of Avocado Seed Brewed Drink (Persea Americana mill): Pengaruh Konsentrasi Maltodekstrin dan Lama Pengeringan terhadap Karakteristik Minuman Seduh Biji Alpukat (Persea Americana mill)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of maltodextrin concentration and drying time on the characteristics of instant avocado seed brewed drink. The method used was a randomized block design with two factorials consisting of maltodesktrin concentration (10%, 15%, 20%) and drying time (8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours). Statistical analysis used ANOVA and further tests used the 5% BNJ test. Then the organoleptic test was analyzed using the Friedman test. The results showed that there was an interaction between maltodextrin concentration and drying time on water content, physical color, lightness, yellowness (b*), IC50 value. The concentration of maltodextrin has a very significant effect on water content, ash content, physical color lightness (L*), redness (a*), yellowness (b*), IC50 value, organoleptic color, organoleptic aroma. Drying time has a very significant effect on moisture content, ash content, physical color, lightness (L*), yellowness (b*), IC50 value, organoleptic color, organoleptic aroma

Effect of Pepaya Fruit Proportion (Carica papaya L.) with Sucrose Against the Characteristics of Pepaya Jam : Pengaruh Proporsi Buah Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) dengan Sukrosa terhadap Karakteristik Selai Pepaya

Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) is acknowledged as a nutrient-dense fruit, the utilization of this fruit is still limited to consumption as cut fruit on small scale. In fact, there is potential for abundant pepaya production, economical prices, and excellent nutritional content. This study used a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) method, with two factors: first, the proportion of pepaya fruit (90%-10%) and second, the proportion of granulated sugar (10%-90%). The purpose of this study was to determine the proportion of papaya fruit and granulated sugar affecting the properties of pepaya jam. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, if show significant differences, continued with the Honest Real Difference test (95% confidence level). The interaction between the proportion of pepaya fruit and granulated sugar gave a significant effect on the parameters of physical color, vitamin C, reducing sugar, and organoleptics such as texture, color, taste, and aroma of pepaya jam

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
