POSTAWA CIAŁA ZAWODNIKA KLASY MISTRZOWSKIEJ W JU-JITSU, STUDIUM PRZYPADKU
No full textCelem pracy była ocena postawy ciała sportowca, w zakresie położenia kręgosłupa w przestrzeni, stanu wysklepienia stóp, a także rozkładu sił nacisku strony podeszwowej stóp na podłoże zawodnika klasy mistrzowskiej trenującego Ju-jitsu (studium przypadku). Wykonano badania cech somatycznych: wysokości ciała, masy ciała, długości i szerokości stóp oraz powierzchni ich stron podeszwowych. W ocenie stanu wysklepienia stóp wzięto pod uwagę poziom wysklepienia podłużnego i poprzecznego oraz stan równowagi w obrębie obu stóp. Badania cech somatycznych, a także ocena stóp zostały wykonane przez autorów pracy. Dla oceny poziomu cech somatycznych (wzrostu, masy ciała i wskaźnika BMI) oraz w obszarze stóp dla cech morfologicznych i stanu wysklepienia stóp porównano wyniki badań własnych z wykonanymi przez Lizisa. W ocenie kręgosłupa i postawy wykorzystano system DIERS Formetric III 4D, który w sposób nieinwazyjny, a także bezpieczny dla pacjenta i personelu analizuje postawę ciała w obrębie kręgosłupa i miednicy. Wyniki pomiaru są bardzo dokładne, a dzięki błyskawicznej transmisji obrazu do programu komputerowego, analiza danych następuje natychmiast po wykonaniu badania
Mapping the Discipline of the Olympic Games An Author-Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFThe authors conducted an author cocitation analysis on prominent authors writing about the Olympics during the 1990s. Author cocitation is an established bibliometric technique that can be used to measure the relative similarities of topics written about by the cited authors. This enables a visual representation of the “intellectual space” of the discipline, in this case the Olympics, to be created for the period under review. So core and peripheral research areas are identified, along with their major contributors. The representation appears as a two-dimensional cluster-enhanced map. Subject expertise was then applied to the results to place labels on the generated clusters of authors and their topics

Public perception of the appropriateness of COVID-19 management strategies and level of disturbances in daily activities: A focus on educational level
No full textBackground This study investigated the association between public perception of the appropriateness of management strategies implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic and the level of disturbances in daily activities reported by the general population. Methods This cross-sectional study used Korea Community Health Survey conducted from August to November 2020. Public perception of COVID-19 management strategies included those implemented by the government (central, city or provincial, and administrative districts), the mass media, regional medical institutions, and neighbors. The subjective level of disturbances in daily activities was measured using a 0–100 numeric rating scale developed by Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. Multivariable linear regression analysis was used. A subgroup analysis was conducted based on education level. Results The present study analyzed 211,353 participants. Compared to individuals who perceived that the management strategies implemented during the pandemic was ‘highly appropriate,’ those who reported ‘mediocre appropriateness’ (β: -1.96, p-value: <0.001) or ‘low appropriateness’ (β: -3.60, p-value: 0.010) reported higher levels of subjective disturbances. The appropriateness of measures implemented by the mass media was associated with levels of subjective disturbances felt by individuals of lower education with statistical significance, whereas that applied by the mass media and the government were important in those with higher education. Conclusions The findings suggest the importance of public perception of management strategies when implementing containment policies and minimizing its disturbances on daily lives is essential. © 2023 Ju et al. Object tracking based on the modular active shape model
No full textThe active contour model (ACM) was proposed by Kass et al. in 1988 (M. Kass, A. Witkin, D. Terzopoulos, Snake: Active contour models, Int. J. Comput. Vision (1988) 321-331) for segmentation and tracking of target objects in image space. In their theory some kinds of energies were designed to extract the boundaries of targets by giving higher or lower values of snake energy to them. This concept has been revised and developed by a few engineers in the field of computer vision to make their active contour models have a prior shape information in their energy equations, more robust characteristics, adaptive abilities in the elastic parameters, and so on. In spite of these efforts on ACMs, some basic problems such as weakness to strong surrounding edges, the drift of snaxels due to the changes of illumination conditions and sensitivity to cluttered environments, are still substantial problems in the applications of ACM to real environments. This paper proposes the design and an implementation of a tracking scheme with a combination of the ACM and the active shape model (ASM), in which the point distribution models are systematically constructed on the projective point of view. In this paper there are three main contributions. Firstly, the combination of the ACM and the ASM is tested to implement a model-based visual tracking system. Secondly, a systematical approach is proposed to construct a few individual point distribution models (PDM) generated on the basis of the projection relation. Finally, the modular active shape model (MASM) is designed to integrate the results of the principal component analysis (PCA) on the individually generated PDMs. By this concept the independent ideas by designers on the shape variations of the target are naturally integrated into the MASM which is modularly constructed on the basis of individual PDMs. As a result, a model-based visual tracker, the MASM, is designed to overcome the problems of the ACM, while the ideas of designer are systematically integrated in this MASM to include the expected variations on the target. The influence of a training programme on the special physical fitness of ju-jitsu trainees
No full textThe purpose of training in ju-jitsu is developing characteristic adaptation to physical activity and optimizing body functions so as to obtain maximal achievements. A means to an end is mastering the fighting technique and develop the essential level of special physical fitness. The aim of this paper was to determine the influence of a modified circuit training conducted according to an original program on level of special physical fitness of ju-jitsu trainees. Ju-jitsu trainees having similar somatic parameters and training experience (3-5 years) were included in the research. 30 participants between the age of 21 and 28 have been selected by means of a purposeful selection. On the basis of different variants of a circuit training and governed by the guidelines of a functional training for trainees, we have developed a training programme which aims to develop special strength, stamina and speed skills. STATISTICA PL software was used to compile the results. In order to determine statistical significance of differences between pre- and posttest measurements in the evaluated group of Ju-Jitsu contestants, a t-test for related groups was used. In conclusion, the proposed training programme proceeds at a high level of intensity, which resembles start activity (which is indicated by the heart rate frequency measurement and lactic acid blood concentration) and may be used in ju-jistu training. The experimental training programme has exerted positive influence on the participants’ with respect to the number of movements made, which can affect their effectiveness in fight

The author explains major modifications in the poet’s worldview and artistic system, highlights new approaches and visual possibilities in text organization. The conclusion is drawn that the books demonstrate a qualitatively new stage in the poet’s creative evolution.Wartykule omówiono „На беразе Дубiч Царкоўных” i „Здарылася быць” Jana Czykwina, przeanalizowano główne tendencje w jego twórczości poetyckiej i prozatorskiej z pierwszej dekady XXI wieku.
