[Letter from Jeff Davis to W. C. Ashford - May 28, 1942]
Letter written to Rev. W. C. Ashford, Pastor, South Side Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas from Jeff Davis dated May 28, 1942. Temperance Field Day June 14th. Davis advises Ashford of an enclosed copy of Dr. Well's sermon and of the campaign to urge National Congress to pass Senate Bill 860. There is a handwritten note by Carswell written at the top of the page confirming that this is a copy of a letter which is to be sent to "all of the pastors"

Report on Officer's duties by C. W. Brown, in regards to Officer Tippit's murder. Brown states the he was at the Texas School Book Depository when he learned of Officer Tippit's death. Later that night he drove to the residence of Mrs. Barbara Jeanette Davis, who reported that her sister-in-law found an empty .38 caliber shell in their front yard
