Feeding flaxseed enhances deposition of omega-3 fatty acids in broiler meat portions in different manner
No full textFeeding a diet containing 12% flaxseed for 36 d significantly increased the n-3 fatty acid deposition in broiler meat. Based on this study, consuming 100 g of such fatty acid-enriched breast meat, whole leg or wing, a total of 0.2, 1.6 and 2.0 g of n-3 fatty acids, including 10.4, 20.3 and 25.3 mg of docosahexaenoic acid, respectively, would be provided by each portion, which offers consumers an alternative to enhance their daily n-3 fatty acid intake

No full textThese notes summarise a talk surveying the combinatorial or Hamiltonian quantisation of three dimensional gravity in the Chern-Simons formulation, with an emphasis on the role of quantum groups and on the way the various physical constants (c, G, A, h) enter as deformation parameters. The classical situation is summarised, where solutions can be characterised in terms of model space-times (which depend on c and A) together with global identifications via elements of the corresponding isometry groups. The quantum theory may be viewed as a deformation of this picture, with quantum groups replacing the local isometry groups, and non-commutative space-times replacing the classical model space-times. This point of view is explained, and open issues are sketched.</p
Europeizacja współpracy rządu federalnego z parlamentem w Republice Austrii – analiza politologiczna
No full textPrzedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza współpracy rządu federalnego z bikameralnym parlamentem Republiki Austrii w sprawach dotyczących członkostwa państwa w UE. Teza artykułu zakłada, iż parlament w ograniczonym zakresie korzysta z przysługujących mu i zawartych w konstytucji uprawnień w dziedzinie kontroli działań rządu w sprawach dot. członkostwa w UE, co utrwala dominację egzekutywy w unijnych procesach decyzyjnych. W pierwszej kolejności w artykule scharakteryzowano proces adaptacji państwa członkowskiego UE do udziału w procesie decyzyjnym. Następnie przedstawiono rozwiązania przyjęte w Austrii, które w założeniu miały zagwarantować duży stopień kontroli władzy ustawodawczej nad wykonawczą w sprawach integracji europejskiej.
