Eddy-Current Losses evaluation in hairpin wound motor fed by PWM Inverter
No full textThis paper presents different approaches proposed to evaluate eddy-current losses in hairpin wound motor fed by pulse width modulated inverter, underlining strengths and weaknesses of everyone and applying them, as test-case, to a 200kW induction motor designed for a premium electric vehicle. The first three approaches are based on the finite element analysis: the first, the more accurate one, use a transient analysis that request long execution time and high memory usage, the second is based on tool that permits rapidly to evaluate the steady state conditions imposing a sinewave current and the third uses a single-slot simplified model. The fourth approach proposes a rapid monodimensional analytic method based on hypotheses that permit to consider the superposition effects of the Eddy Current Losses of every current harmonic component. The fifth approach makes uses of the proposed analytic method by leveraging a rapid investigation of current harmonic content due to pulse width modulation based on a lumped parameter motor model.
In addition, the paper discusses important considerations about the use of the hairpin technology fed by pulse width modulation that can be drawn from the analysis of the obtained result

No full textThe Sanctuary of Santa Venera was located ouside the South fortification of the ancient Greek city of Paestum, at today thrown up due to lack of funds, falls within the area of brownfield site of Cirio factory. The area, which was acquired by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Salerno, has been included within the "Feasibility study for the creation of the Archaeological Park of Paestum", developed with CIPE funds from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, which discusses a number of interventions for the promotion of cultural heritage, such as the excavation and museum display of the sanctuary through the demolition of part of the industrial buildings. No full textIl caso della costruzione della nuova struttura portuale e diportistica ‘Marina d’Arechi’ in fase di costruzione a Salerno, rappresenta un concreto esempio dell'efficacia di modelli di intervento e di partnership pubblico privato
La città, ponte di mediazione tra la costiera amalfitana e quella cilentana, si è distinta negli ultimi anni per le politiche di sviluppo del territorio attuate le quali, hanno consentito una serie cospicua di interventi di trasformazione urbana, dalla creazione di nuove infrastrutture, al recupero di aree industriali dismesse.
Il progetto di realizzazione del nuovo Porto turistico ‘Marina d’Arechi’, iniziato nel 2010 che verrà ultimato con la realizzazione delle opere a terra progettate dall’architetto Santiago Calatrava nel 2014, si inquadra all’interno di tali grandi trasformazioni urbane in atto nella città da ormai un decennio.
In un periodo di crisi ma soprattutto di sfiducia nelle politiche urbane di trasformazione, il caso affrontato rappresenta una concreta realtà di proficua collaborazione pubblico-privato che ha condotto in tempi rapidi all’esecuzione di un’opera di grande importanza strategico-infrastrutturale.
Il lavoro mira ad esporre l’iter progettuale- amministrativo che ha portato alla realizzazione dell’intervento, dimostrando come il modello del project financing abbia rappresentato, in questo caso, un valido strumento che, attraverso l’interazione pubblico-privato, ha permesso di realizzare un progetto che l’ amministrazione pubblica da sola non sarebbe stata in grado di sostenere

No full textThe site of Historic Cairo was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1979 in recognition of its absolutely unques-tionable historical, archaeological and urban importance. The Urban Regeneration Project for Historic Cairo, drawn up between 2012 and 2014, try to develop a strategy for protecting and rehabilitating the whole World Her-itage Property, not only as a spatial and functional entity, but also as a cultural and socioeconomic asset, defining a new boundaries. Despite the URHC, degradation of the urban fabric has increased and the situation has been exac-erbated by the continuing approval of demolition permits for protected buildings that could be considered unsta-ble with a highly adverse impact on the urban ancient center. The essay aims to underline the criticalities and po-tentialities that emerge from the implementation of the management plan referring to the state of conservation of Historic Urban Landscape, with the goal of guaranteeing to Cairo’s heritage community to be able to benefit from the material and intangible values of its world heritage site
