The role of collective motion in examples of coarsening and self-assembly
The simplest prescription for building a patterned structure from its constituents is to add particles, one at a time, to an appropriate template. However, self-organizing molecular and colloidal systems in nature can evolve in much more hierarchical ways. Specifically, constituents (or clusters of constituents) may aggregate to form clusters (or clusters of clusters) that serve as building blocks for later stages of assembly. Here we evaluate the character and consequences of such collective motion in a set of prototypical assembly processes. We do so using computer simulations in which a system's capacity for hierarchical dynamics can be controlled systematically. By explicitly allowing or suppressing collective motion, we quantify its effects. We find that coarsening within a two dimensional attractive lattice gas (and an analogous off-lattice model in three dimensions) is naturally dominated by collective motion over a broad range of temperatures and densities. Under such circumstances, cluster mobility inhibits the development of uniform coexisting phases, especially when macroscopic segregation is strongly favored by thermodynamics. By contrast, the assembly of model viral capsids is not frustrated but is instead facilitated by collective moves, which promote the orderly binding of intermediates consisting of several monomers
Les premières industries à pointes foliacées en Europe centrale
In Eastern Europe, the earliest foliate points recognized date to the Mindel. Their presence is attested in Germany (Ehnngsdorf, Reutersruh, Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and Wannen) and in the Ukraine (Korolevo). On the whole, these pieces are few in number. Contrary to this, foliate points have been recovered in large numbers in the different levels at Korolevo, belonging to the transition from the Acheulean to Mousterian.En Europe de l'Est, les plus anciennes pointes foliacées connues sont datées de l'inter-Mindel Leur présence est attestée en Allemagne : sites d'Ehnngsdorf, de Reutersruh, de Salzgitter-Lebenstedt et de Wannen, et en Ukraine ¦ site de Korolevo. De façon générale, ces pièces sont peu nombreuses. HIGHER EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IN INDEPENDENT UKRAINE (1991-2002)

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of higher education development in independent Ukraine in the period 1991-2002. The main ways of reforming the education system are outlined. The priorities of the state policy in the development of education are revealed. Areas of international cooperation in the field of education and science are of great importance.

Thermal - Vacuum dehydration and dispergation of dispersed materials
[EN] Scientific and technical studies on the intensification of removal moisture from dispersed materials and their simultaneous dispergation in the hollow heating element of a thermo-vacuum apparatus is researched. Continuous thermo-vacuum dehydration and dispergation process of zirconium hydroxide, brown coal, graphite, sawdust, biological materials is considered. Based on conducted studies was made conclusions about perspective to use this technology. Static properties of a warm dense uniform electron gas

The non-perturbative self-consistent method of moments is employed to extend onto quantum fluids, a similar reduction stemming from the fluctuation-dissipation theorem and other exact relations for classical one-component plasmas. The results are compared to and complement the numerical data obtained recently by the path-integral Monte Carlo method. Науковцю вдалося дослідити факти, що стосуються життя і побуду окремих територій України, починаючи від часів її заселення, відтак збагатити збіднене уявлення про явища і події вітчизняної історії.The article highlights the activities of historian, ethnographer, cultural and social activist Borys Ivanovych Tkachenko (born in 1937), the author of 11 books – original studies on the most resonant and painful topics of Ukrainian history. It was established that the author, who is an agronomist and historian by profession, devoted his first works to problematic issues of land management, including ecological factors as the main ones for preserving land resources. Attention is focused on the significant results of B. Tkachenko's research work on the repression of the Soviet authorities in Ukraine in the 1930s of the XX century. In particular, the author's book "Under the Black Brand" was analyzed, which became the first book published in Ukraine that revealed the crimes of the Holodomor in 1932-1933, both on the basis of archival sources and the memories of eyewitnesses. It is noted about B. Tkachenko's significant contribution to the development of local history, in particular his works, which highlight the history of individual territories of Ukraine, starting from the time of their settlement. The researcher managed to research and record facts and documents related to the life and development of a particular area, thereby enriching the impoverished idea of certain phenomena and events of our general history. After all, the general is revealed in the individual, and the individual exists in the general. The scientific work of the researcher as a folklorist in the collection and popularization of folk songs of the region was noted. When writing the article, general historical (comparative-historical, retrospective) methods and the method of source analysis were used.Исследована деятельность историка, этнографа, культурно-общественного деятеля Бориса Ивановича Ткаченко, автора 11 книг – оригинальных исследований по самым резонансным и болезненным темам украинской истории. Констатировано, что первые труды автора – агронома и историка по специальности – посвящены передовым методам хозяйствования на земле, включая экологические факторы как главные для сохранения земельных ресурсов. Акцентировано на весомых результатах научно-исследовательской работы Б. Ткаченко о репрессиях советской власти в Украине в 30-х гг. ХХ ст. DEVELOPMENT OF LAWS ON THE STATE YOUTH POLICY IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1980th – THE 2010th YEARS: MAIN RESULTS AND VALUE
Reforming of social and economic development of the country in the second half of the 1980th years has caused the necessity of increase in a role of the younger generation in the solution of economic, welfare tasks, management of the public and public affairs. The youth policy is made out in an independent field of activity of the state. The regulatory legal base of the sphere of youth policy is formed.
Purpose. To analyse process of development and adoption of laws on the state youth policy during the studied period, to define their value in development of the sphere of youth policy.
Methodology. The author uses historical, comparative-historical, problem and chronological and comparative and legal methods.
Results. The author has shown a role of Komsomol in the conditions of the happening social and economic transformations in the country in the solution of the question of development and adoption of law on youth which has become the starting document in development of the state youth policy in the USSR and the Russian Federation. Process of development and adoption of laws on youth policy in the Russian Federation is considered. The problems which have influenced legislative activity during the studied period are revealed.
Practical implications. Results of a research can be used by pedagogical and scientific and pedagogical workers, public servants in the sphere of youth policy when developing the normative and methodical documents regulating this sphere

A penetration of plasma of a solar origin into the magnetosphere could be realized directly through magnetospheric cusps. The region adjacent to the magnetopause in the cusp vicinity is highly turbulent, occupied by the heated magnetosheath- -like plasma with a low drift velocity for which occurrence of vortices is a very common feature. In the first part of the thesis, we present a de- tailed analysis of a vortex-like structure created by a turbulent plasma flow around the magnetopause indentation above the cusp and using the data from Interball-1 and Magion-4; we find necessary conditions and a possible mechanisms to creation of such structures. Use of the over-the-scope-clip (OTSC) in non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with severe cardiovascular comorbidities: a retrospective study
Abstract
Introduction The over-the-scope-clip (OTSC) can potentially overcome
limitations of standard clips and achieve more efficient and reliable
hemostasis. Data on OTSC use for non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding
(NVUGIB) in patients with cardiovascular comorbidities are currently limited.
Patients and methods We prospectively collected and retrospectively
analyzed our database from February 2009 to September 2015 from all patients who
underwent emergency endoscopy for high-risk NVUGIB in 2 academic centers and
were treated with OTSC as first-line (n = 81) or second-line therapy (n = 19).
Results One hundred patients mean age 72 (range 27 – 97 years) were
included in this study. Fifty-one percent (n = 51) had severe cardiovascular
co-morbidity (ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension,
valvular heart disease, peripheral arterial occlusive disease and atrial
fibrillation) and 73 % (n = 73) were on antiplatelet or/and anticoagulation
therapy. The median size of the treated ulcers was 3 cm (range 1 – 5 cm). In
94 % (n = 94) primary hemostasis with OTSC was achieved. Clinical long-term
success during a mean 6-month follow-up without rebleeding was 86 % (n = 86).
Conclusions In this cohort OTSC was demonstrated to be a safe and
effective first- or second-line treatment for NVUGIB in high-risk patients with
cardiovascular disease and complex, large ulcers. Meeting presentations:
