No full textImage of Baby quilt created in 1941-1968 by Dora Elmina Donohue Van Natta. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Nanette Moyar as part of the Utah Quilt Guild\u27s documentation days held from 1988-1994. Top of quilt was made for birth of daughter May 1942. It was kept in a cedar chest until her death in 1967 (May), her sister took it and assembled & quilted it in early 1968 for the use of Nanette Moyar\u27s daughter Cynthia Ann born April 21, 1968. It was used for many years and enjoyed. Quilt maker was divorced in 1953 and raised her two daughters by herself. She worked very hard and died when she was 44

Each SAS dataset in this collection relates to the cumulative patient-visits from a particular LSOCA form. For example, va.sas7bdat is the SAS dataset for the visual acuity data. Use the appropriate LSOCA form and SAS labels from the SAS PROC CONTENTS to decode each data item

No full texteye-level views; group portraits; distant views;This is a photograph of Major Harry Nornabell, former Director of the Mountain Lake Sanctuary (now Bok Tower Gardens), and a group of members of the Seminole Tribe from the Big Cypress Reservation in south Florida (Nornabell is in the center in a suit). The photograph is taken near the east end of the parking lot with the Singing Tower in the background. Cars, visitors, and the restroom facilities can also be seen in the distance. This is most likely the group that attended the first Seminole Indian Festival, an event that occurred annually from 1935 to 1942.
The Seminole Festival was said to be celebrating the "Feast of the Rising Sun," however, the origins of this festival are unclear and it is important to note that this is not an event that is currently celebrated for a public audience by the Seminole Tribe.
There is some discoloration of the photograph. On the front in white: 'Van Natta '35.' On a sticker in black ink on the back '6.22' indicates the approximate physical location of the photograph. On the top center back, there is evidence that tape was removed

On the back is a handwritten letter, presumably from one of the constructions workers writing home to a female friend named Ruby. It reads:
"I am sending picture of the tower. You can have an idia (sic) about how long it will be B-4 (sic) we compleat (sic) it. You can judge by how far we are up with the marble. We'll been on this marble work now it will be 4 mo - 26 day of Oct. Say sweet: I hear a good looking old boy round there some where (sic) has beat my time with you. That don't set well with me. [?] far the Dr says my veins are too clost (sic) togeather (sic). He told me to take a pill 3 times a day. You know I can't do that. I wish he had not mention (sic) that- Say Ruby, I am coming home Xmas and if I am man enough to beat that guy up, will you be willing to come back with me? If you don't want to or won't come you can see about how high a place it will be to jump off the tower.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
