The international competitiveness of cava: success of a particular firm or the district ?
No full textFirst of all, the author wonders about the degree of success of the Catalan sparkling wine industry in the recent past. The comparison with the Italian sparkling spumante and also with the case of the most celebrated sparkling wine in the world, champagne, shows a very positive trend of the cava production and exports in the last three decades of the XXth century. Secondly, this paper focuses on the agent or cause responsible of this success. Is it due to a particular firm or should it be attributed to the whole industrial cava cluster around the area of Sant Sadurni dAnoia? More than two thirds of the exports correspond to a particular firm. In this sense, we should attribute the success to it. However, the historical explanation of the development of the industrial cava cluster in the main and well-kwown viticultural Catalan area of Penedes, shows that all producers have benefit from the Marshalian external economies due to this concentration. No full textThis draft is the first attempt to establish a UK MARC specifically for Archives and Manuscripts Control since the British Library indicated that it would countenance such extensions to the national UK MARC format. In order to keep consistency with the general UK MARC format, standard UK MARC subject fields are not included in this document, since they should be taken from the latest version of the UK MARC manual. {A note of them should perhaps be included in UK MARC AMC.} {NB Text in braces is intended to be explanatory material for readers of this draft}. Certain other fields have not been included that might occasionally be used in the cataloguing of archival materials but would generally only be used for such materials in organizations which were combining archive
databases with library databases. This MARC version is intended for use with descriptions of archive or anuscript material that follow, or fit, the traditional style of cataloguing: we assume that these will normally relate
to paper or parchment originals. It is not intended for use with descriptions of other kinds of material. For these, fields may be drawn from the appropriate UK MARC document. MARC versions for use with archives in special formats should be developed, in order to complete the full range of facilities available to archivists and curators
Aixecament planimètric de les esglésies de les valls d'Àneu
No full textLes valls d’Àneu, en la comarca del Pallars Sobirà (Lleida), són un marc geogràfic i cultural singular en el que s’hi aplega un conjunt molt important de monuments i representacions artístiques alt medievals. La vall de la Noguera d’Àneu és la més occidental de les tres valls de l’Alt Pallars Sobirà i, en una extensió de 373 Km2, es troben inventariats trenta-cinc temples d’origen preromànic i romànic amb advocacions d’origen altmedieval. A més, també queden restes de construccions civils com els ponts i els camins, castells, torres de guaita i fortificacions que converteixen el territori en un focus d’atracció cultural que creiem cal potenciar.
La situació actual de creixement en aquestes àrees pirinenques sovint es vincula amb promocions immobiliaris i propostes d’un turisme anomenat “d’aventura” que, malauradament, no van acompanyades d’intervencions culturals que serveixin per a recuperar i revaluar el patrimoni.
La nostra proposta pel Treball Final de Carrera d’Arquitectura Tècnica té com a objectiu principal col·laborar amb el Consell Cultural de les Valls d’Àneu a difondre l’important patrimoni artístic i cultural de que disposa aquest territori i que es pot conèixer fent una visita al Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, MNAC, contemplant el recull de pintures murals que provenen d’aquestes valls
