A cultural model of performance at the central government level

    No full text
The paper intends to draw a possible framework for evaluating the performance of the administration at the central government level. We propose a simple pool-data model in which we tried to make a connection between main macroeconomic variables that are in part the result of government actions in the pursuit of its social end economic objectives and some variables that are reflecting the social-cultural-political dimensions of government decisions.Performance, efficiency, government, culture, politics

Sub zodia magnetismului erotic: masculinitate și feminitate decadente în poezia lui Alexandru Macedonski

    No full text
More than a hundred years after his death, Macedonski’s multiform and eclectic literary career is still waiting to be rediscovered and objectively evaluated in a transnational perspective, necessary today, given that we are in the presence of a bilingual author whose work in French has the same value as that in Romanian. Macedonski’s poetics, constantly open to innovation, through fruitful grafts and hybridizations with the literary and artistic currents that dominated and shaped the Western European culture, carries within itself all the devastating contradictions and paradoxical excesses of a transitional, deeply precarious and unstable age. If we consider the time frame of Macedonski’s work (1872-1920), we will notice that, in his eccentricity always exhibited in a narcissist way, his work overlaps, in part, with an “extended” and “amplified” fin de siècle, a troubled historical and cultural period, but at the same time dynamic in the highest degree, which can no longer be circumscribed only to the last years of the 19th century. Beyond these chronological coincidences, the very coordinates of the Macedonski’s work require us to frame it in a specific cultural atmosphere, imbued not only with aestheticism and esotericism, but also with experimentalism. If we look at it through this prism, the literary and existential trajectory of Macedonski is configured as one of the most emblematic moments of European Decadentism, an era traversed by the anxieties of a fractured complexity. The Macedonskian identity, as it is constructed especially at the level of eroticism (focused on an ambiguous interrelationship between male and female polarities, with their specific representations in the poetic imaginary) is certainly the thematic area in which, more than any other, a fin de siècle spirituality is mirrored, marked by abysmal stratifications and mythical sedimentations. I propose to outline, this time focusing only on some poetic texts in Romanian and in French, the construction of Macedonskian masculinity and femininity as a reflex of the decadent theatricalization of identity and alterity, and the interaction between femininity and masculinity which, as I will demonstrate, is materialized through magnetism, both psychic and erotic

Abstract: Nicoleta Annemarie Munteanu, well-known author on the subject of communication in the military field, both as an author of books and studies and articles, offers us the book ”Operația mass-media, complementaritate a operației militare moderne” [Media operation, complementarity of modern military operation], under the edition of Techno Media Publishing House from Sibiu, appeared in 2019. The research effort is directed towards the objective of designing a national strategy that includes the media operation as an extension of modern military action, but also as a factor that has the capacity to determine and influence the development of military action, with beneficial effects both on the conduct of missions, but also on the way in which civil society perceives the military action and the institution of the Romanian army

Deșeuri transformate în eleganță: cum reciclăm materialele în mobila de interior

    No full text

THE SONATA FOR VIOLIN AND PIANO BY VIOREL MUNTEANU IN THE INTERPRETATIVE CONCEPTION OF NATIVE MUSICIANS

    No full text
Signed in 1974, the Sonata for violin and piano by Viorel Munteanu continues the Enescu tradition and distinguishes itself by an original musical language, that alongside of the form sobriety, places this opus among the most representative examples of Romanian chamber instrumental music of the second half of the 20th century. Special attention is given to the exploration of the source of folklore and the Byzantine influence that generate the intonational-thematic structure of the whole work and relate it to the opuses of Moldovan music. Thus, the abundance of sound symbols and specific elements of the „pastoral” space reveals essential aspects of the interpretative conception of the native musicians. This composition was premiered in Chisinau within the framework of the 25th edition of the International Festival The Days of New Music. In the present article the author wants to pay her respects to the late violinist Angela Molodojan who performed with remarkable artistry, originality and musical refinement the violin part in the above-mentioned creation

Understanding Cultural Intelligence Factors among Business Students in Romania

    No full text
AbstractCultural intelligence (CQ) is a relatively new concept, one that explains why certain individuals can adapt to different cultural contexts more efficiently than others. Using Earley & Ang's (2003) multidimensional concept as an analysis framework, this paper will study the intercultural intelligence among business students in Romania. We have chosen this research topic because we believe that the business students of today will become the global managers of tomorrow. Given that CQ is a multidimensional concept, this paper will analyze the answers for each of the four CQ dimensions, in order to identify which of the four capabilities is more or less developed among students. The final purpose is to understand the CQ components on which higher education should focus more. We wish to find educational solutions adapted to the actual needs of business graduates

    No full text
Clinical context. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) due to rupture of an aneurysm is one of the most common neurosurgical emergencies who account for one-third of stroke .In the SAH cases , aneurysms accounted for 70%. Aneurysms had a bleeding rate of 12 per 100,000 population per year, and in particular between 50 to 60 years of age with a high morbidity and mortality, especially in the first episode of bleeding at about 43% of cases (1, 4, 14). Surgery is indicated to prevent rebleeding. 2.5% of patients in the general population may have unbroken aneurysms with a prevalence of 0.65%, with a preponderance of aneurysms in a 2: 1 in women. ACI aneurysms are more common in women and Acom aneurysms are more common in men and in 15-30% of patients with presence of multiple aneurysms. Surgical timing, the assessment in each individual case for rebleeding usage of endovascular techniques (3, 12), neurological status, the presence or absence of intraparenchymal hematoma or intraventricular hemorrhage with or without vasospasm, have an influence on the result. Over a period of 5 years from January 2010 to November 2014, 317 cases of patients with intracranial aneurysms in four clinics of neurosurgery in Bagdasar -Arseni hospital have been studied. The follow up period range between 6 month and 4 years and 3 month
