O Roteiro do Manuscrito de Valentim Fernandes One of the aims of the RUTTER Project is to make available transcriptions of 15th and 16th-century rutters, thus furthering the basics of research with quality reference texts. The manuscript rutter here presented, associated to the German printer Valentim Fernandes (ca. 1450–1519), is the earliest known Portuguese rutter. It includes two titles, “Este livro é de rotear” (“This book is about navigating”) and “O livro das Rotas do Castelo de São Jorge” (“The book of routes of St George’s castle”). The original document of this Valentim Fernandes’ manuscript is preserved at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Munich, under the shelfmark Hss Cod.hisp. 27 (permalink: https://opacplus.bsb- muenchen.de/title/BV022248171). It is 336 folios long, including among other works a “Descriptio Africae”. Our present transcription comprises only from 292r to 315r

The purpose of this study is to characterize Nuno Higino´s work and to promote his recognition and value. Nuno Higino is a Portuguese writer whose work is dedicated mainly to children and young adults. His texts, characterized by a profound lyricism, written either in poetry or poetic prose, show transversal subjects like the presence of nature and the sacred. This essay stresses these subjects and therefore studies six of the recent author´s texts, which are illustrated by the artist José Emídio. The complicity between the two creators, author and illustrator, resulted in stories of deep aesthetic value based on the relationship between the two languages, the verbal and the pictorial ones

The paper presents an interpretative reading of a few literary works by Brazilian writer and visual artist Nuno Ramos (1960), also exploring connections between these texts and plastic works, essays and songs produced by the same author. Two fictional-poetic figures from the books Sermões (2015) and Adeus, cavalo (2017) set forth our reading – the goddess and the horse –, in dialogue with two conceptual figures, the voice and the sign.O artigo propõe um percurso interpretativo por alguns trabalhos literários do escritor e artista visual Nuno Ramos (1960), recorrendo pontualmente a comentários acerca de trabalhos plásticos, canções e ensaios realizados pelo artista.
