    A Review Study of the Thermo Physical Properties of PCM with Dispersion of Nano Particles

    In this article, a new sort of nanofluid phase change materials PCMs is developed by suspending a small amount of BeO nanoparticles in solution of wax. Its thermal conductivities, super cooling degree, latent heat, specific heat, and rheological behaviours of the nanofluids PCMs have investigated. A rectangular duct designed and numerical studies were performed to reveal the effects of molten PCM thermo physical properties on heat and exergy storage performance of latent heat storage LHS unit. The range analysis, regression analysis and optimization were conducted. The PCM selection criteria were established. The results show that for short time LHS system, the order of PCM properties effects on heat storage performance is melting temperature, thermal conductivity, specific heat, density and melting enthalpy successively. PCM with lower melting temperature, higher thermal conductivity and specific heat is beneficial to improve the heat storage rate and heat storage quality. For long time heat storage system, the order of PCM properties effects on heat storage performance is density, melting enthalpy, specific heat, melting temperature and thermal conductivity successively. PCM with higher density, melting enthalpy and specific heat can both improve the heat storage rate and heat storage quality.     Formal Development of a Total Order Broadcast for Distributed Transactions using Event-B

    Abstract. In a replicated database system, copies of the database are kept across several sites for fault-tolerance and availability. Data access in such systems is usually done within a transactional framework. A read-only transaction accesses data locally and an update transaction modifies the database at all sites. Total order broadcast primitives have been proposed to support transactions and allow fault-tolerant cooperation between the sites in a distributed system. In this paper, we identify and analyze the problem of formation of deadlocks among conflicting update transactions due to race conditions and outline how a system of total order broadcast prevents deadlocks and transaction failures. Later we outline how a refinement based approach with Event-B can be used for formal development of the models of total order broadcast. In this approach we begin with the abstract model of a total order broadcast and verify that the required ordering properties are preserved by the system. total order can correctly be implemented by using a notion of sequence number. This technique requires us to discharge proof obligations due to consistency and refinement checking. To discharge the proof obligations we are required to discover invariants that describes the relationship between the abstract total order and the underlying mechanism.

    Background: The Global Burden of Diseases (GBD) study reported the estimated mortality from CAD in India at 1.6 million in the year 2000. It has been predicted that by the year 2020 there will be an increase by almost 75% in the global CVD burden. Acute MI in young adults is characterized by the presence of multiple risk factors which tend to be additive in influencing morbidity and mortality. A contributory factor, which may explain the abnormalities in lipid profile of Indians, is the high risk atherosclerotic diet, which promotes over nutrition, obesity and diabetes. Methods: It is an observational study done at tertiary care center. In our study we studied 55 consecutive patients suffered with acute myocardial Infarction (AMI) between age group 15-45 years, fulfilling inclusion criteria. We assessed clinical profile and their risk factors. Results: Mean age of acute myocardial infarction was 40.6 years. Ajority of the patients were male (94.5%) and between the age group of 41-45 years (50.9%), chest pain was commonest presentation. Smoking was the most common risk factor (61.8%), followed raised homocysteine level (45.5%). Family history of Premature CAD was presents in significant number of individuals (36.4%). Obesity with raised BMI was found in 10.9% patients. Incidence of DM was 18.2%, hypertension was seen in 10.9%cases. Abnormalities in lipidprofile were seen 21.8% patients. Hyperuricemia was found in 31 %, AB positive blood group was most common and was presents in 34.5%. In most individuals single blood vessel was involved (76.4%) with good left ventricular (LV) function (49%) and over all prognoses was good in patients with door to stent time less than 60 min. The coronary arteries involved in these cases were LAD in 36.4%, LCX in 20% and RCA in 20%. Conclusion: In young MI cases conventional risk factors like diabetes mellitus, hypertension play less important role as compared to old individuals. Smoking and novel emerging risk factors like hyperhomocysteinemia, protein C & S deficiency play much prominent role in young patients with MI

    Arthrospira are multicellular cyanobacteria that typically reside in alkaline lakes of (sub)tropical regions and are mass cultivated around the globe in a variety of outdoor facilities and photobioreactors for their high nutritional, pharmaceutical and clinical value. Arthrospira sp. strain PCC 8005 was selected by the European Space Agency as an oxygen producer and nutritional end-product in a bioregenerative life support system for long-haul missions. Being highly resistant to ionizing radiation, it is also an ideal candidate for other space applications such as in situ resource utilization and terraformation. During long-term strain maintenance involving continuous subculturing we noted an irreversible morphological change in PCC 8005 subcultures i.e. from only helical to only straight trichomes. These morphotypes displayed differences in growth rate, buoyancy and resistance to gamma radiation. We also found marked differences in antioxidant capacity, pigment content and trehalose concentration, while whole-genome comparison revealed a difference of 168 SNPs, 48 indels and four large insertions affecting, in total, 41 coding regions across both genomes. Although nine of these regions encoded proteins with a known function, no conclusive genotype-phenotype associations could be determined. As organizations and stakeholders become more globally distributed, getting requirements right will pose a greater challenge. Today, organizations are offered a sophisticated array of multimedia meeting systems with video, audio and computer support for remotely specifying requirements. In the context of present day’s global workforce scenario, distributed requirements engineering is now being explored by researchers as well as industry to build an understanding of the dynamics of this highly interactive phase in a globally distributed context. Accordingly, this paper addresses the timely need of reviewing the literature on globally distributed requirements engineering. Findings highlight paucity of literature in this area. Additionally, the paper presents an innovative approach to globally distributed requirements engineering by reviewing the literature on the applicability of agile development approach in a globally distributed setting. Contributing to academic and practitioner literature, the author discusses emerging directions for future research in this area
