Cross-sections of large-angle hadron production in proton-and pion-nucleus interactions VIII: Aluminium nuclei and beam momenta from ±3 GeV/c to ±15 GeV/c

    No full text
We report on double-differential inclusive crosssections of the production of secondary protons, charged pions, and deuterons, in the interactions with a 5% λint thick stationary aluminium target, of proton and pion beams with momentum from ±3 GeV/c to ±15 GeV/c. Results are given for secondary particles with production angles 20° < θ < 125°. Cross-sections on aluminium nuclei are compared with cross-sections on beryllium, carbon, copper, tin, tantalum and lead nuclei. © The Author(s) 2012

    V. M. Shtepa, N. A. Zaets, O. N. Prokopenya, A. N. Gelnovach. SUBSTANTIATION OF STRUCTURE AND COMPOSITION OF THE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS BASED ON ASSESSMENT OF AUTOMATION LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSESИсследована зависимость эффективности работы системы водоочистки от уровня автоматизации отдельных подсистем.

Ageing test of ATLAS RPCs at CERN's gamma irradiation facility

    No full text
An ageing test of three ATLAS production RPC stations is in progress at X5 GIF, the CERN irradiation facility. The chamber efficiency as a function of the operating voltage is measured at different source intensities, tip to a maximum counting rate of about 700 Hz/cm(2). All along the test., plate resistivity has been monitored using two different methods: by measuring the I-V characteristics in pure Ar, and by comparing the efficiency vs high voltage curves at different source intensities. The increase in plate resistivity, which is one of the dominant ageing effects for RPCs with phenolic-melaminic electrodes, has been shown to be strongly dependent on environmental relative humidity. Indeed, after setting to values between 40% and 50% the relative humidity of both the operating gas and the air surrounding the chambers, a significant decrease of the plate resistivity has been observed

The influence of different growing technologies of winter wheat varieties on the phytosanitary condition of plants
