Media Reflection of Jaroslav Drobny Emigration

    No full text
Diplomová práce "Mediální reflexe emigrace Jaroslava Droobného" se zabývá událostmi z července 1949, kdy českoslovenští tenisté Jaroslav Drobný a Vladimír Černík natrvalo opustili svou zemi. - 10.6.), 1949 (1. - 31.7.), 1950 (15.5. - 30.6.) a 1968 (1.4. - 31.5.). Výzkum byl proveden v tehdejších všeobecných celostátních denících Rudém právu, Mladé frontě, Práci, Lidové demokracii a jednom specializovaném deníku Československý sport. The diploma thesis "Media Reflection of Jaroslav Drobny emigration" considers story of July 1949, when famous Czechoslovak tennis player Jaroslav Drobny left his country. It was during his stay at the tennis tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland. This diploma thesis has a theoretical part. It describes person Jaroslav Drobny, it shows the situation in Czechoslovakia in the late 1940's, situation of international sports at reasons why people were leaving their country. The main part of the work contains a deep search of several general dailies. In 1948 it was Rudé právo, Mladá fronta, Práce, Lidová demokracie and magazine Ruch in the period from the 15th May to the 10th June, when Jaroslav Drobny has been playing French Open in Paris and got to the finals. A year after, 1949, the same media was researched in the period from the 1st to the 31st July. It was the month Jaroslav Drobny left Czechoslovakia. And the same media was researched in the period from the 15th May to the 30th June when Jaroslav Drobny has been again playing French Open in Paris and again got to the finals, but at that time he already owned an Egyptian citizenship. Nineteen year later, in 1968 during the period of "Prague spring", issue of Jaroslav Drobny emigration was re - opened and the same media except magazine Ruch and including...Katedra mediálních studiíDepartment of Media StudiesFaculty of Social SciencesFakulta sociálních vě

Seidel T, Schnitzer D, Golldack D, Sauer M, Dietz K-J. Organelle-specific isoenzymes of plant V-ATPase as revealed by in vivo-FRET analysis. BMC Cell Biology. 2008;9(1): 28.BACKGROUND: The V-ATPase (VHA) is a protein complex of 13 different VHA-subunits. It functions as an ATP driven rotary-motor that electrogenically translocates H+ into endomembrane compartments. In Arabidopsis thaliana V-ATPase is encoded by 23 genes posing the question of specific versus redundant function of multigene encoded isoforms. RESULTS: The transmembrane topology and stoichiometry of the proteolipid VHA-c" as well as the stoichiometry of the membrane integral subunit VHA-e within the V-ATPase complex were investigated by in vivo fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). VHA-c", VHA-e1 and VHA-e2, VHA-a, VHA-c3, truncated variants of VHA-c3 and a chimeric VHA-c/VHA-c" hybrid were fused to cyan (CFP) and yellow fluorescent protein (YFP), respectively. The constructs were employed for transfection experiments with Arabidopsis thaliana mesophyll protoplasts. Subcellular localization and FRET analysis by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) demonstrated that (i.) the N- and C-termini of VHA-c" are localised in the vacuolar lumen, (ii.) one copy of VHA-c" is present within the VHA-complex, and (iii.) VHA-c" is localised at the ER and associated Golgi bodies. (iv.) A similar localisation was observed for VHA-e2, whereas (v.) the subcellular localisation of VHA-e1 indicated the trans Golgi network (TGN)-specifity of this subunit. CONCLUSION: The plant proteolipid ring is a highly flexible protein subcomplex, tolerating the incorporation of truncated and hybrid proteolipid subunits, respectively. Whereas the membrane integral subunit VHA-e is present in two copies within the complex, the proteolipid subunit VHA-c" takes part in complex formation with only one copy. However, neither VHA-c" isoform 1 nor any of the two VHA-e isoforms were identified at the tonoplast. This suggest a function in endomembrane specific VHA-assembly or targeting rather than proton transport

The Human as Capital? A Contribution to the Critique of the Theory of Human Capital

    No full text
In modern economic theories, human qualities are treated as autonomous production factors, which are called “human capital”. However, in these theories, there is no description of the relationship between human capital and the man who is his “bearer,” nor an explanation of the process of that capital formation. In the thesis, the author tries to justify it as follows: Human qualities, including knowledge and skills, are an integral part of a human being, that is, they are involved in every human act. It is therefore wrong to analyze their economic significance in isolation from the whole structure of human activity. Through his action, man discovers the potential in things and relationships in the form of the possibility of using them for a particular purpose. Capital is thus realized by the human potential of things that form a system for transforming the world. In the first part, a general description of the theory of human capital will be made. In the second part, it will be criticized. In turn an attempt will be made in the third part to show the proper relationship between man and capital from the perspective of personalism. The “Annales. The article refers to the topic of civil service law in Poland. It describes the organization of civil service system in comparison to other international solutions and it gives the historical background of how it has been evolving so far. Particularly it refers to the elements of its regime, the position and duties of the Polish Head of the Civil Service and rights and duties of the civil service corpus’ members. The author claims that the changes taking place in the area of this part of law are due to the domination of private law (labor law) over public law (administrative law). This tendency currently prevails in the western legislation. The article refers to the topic of civil service law in Poland.
