The origins of management accounting in Italy. Analysis of the case study of the Ferrovie Nord Milano.
This paper investigates the Italian contribution to the development of management accounting. The old tradition of Italian accounting studies is known all over the world. It is probable that the most famous event in this field in the Middle ages was the discovery of the double-entry bookkeeping system, attributed to Fra Luca Paciolo, who in 1494 in Venice, published the famous book “Summa”.
However, at the end of the nineteenth century, other authors such as Besta, Zappa, D’Ippoloito and Amodeo gave a clear message, and pushed for the development of accounting. In particular, the branch was devoted to setting-up techniques to control the firm in giving the right information during the decision process.
In Italy in the 1930’s there was a long debate on the role and systems for financial accounting. In the end, the ‘sistema del reddito’ (income system), that was developed by Zappa, was generally adopted, replacing the older “sistema patrimoniale” (patrimonial sytem). Thanks to the hard work of these authors, it was not long before, a parallel system for management accounting, separated by the financial system, was defined for obvious reasons of control. There was however even more contributions from the Italians, even if sometime they arrived a little later compared to their Anglo-Saxon counterparts. Some examples can be seen in the studies on budgeting and forecasting, business plans, variance analysis, non-financial performance, processes and activities and firms’ values to name just a few.
After discussions on these themes, an Italian case study of the FNM railways will be presented, along with a synthetic analysis of some relevant steps of its management accounting system from the beginning in 1877 to present day

Section-level genome sequencing and comparative genomics of Aspergillus sections Cavernicolus and Usti.
The genus Aspergillus is diverse, including species of industrial importance, human pathogens, plant pests, and model organisms. Aspergillus includes species from sections Usti and Cavernicolus, which until recently were joined in section Usti, but have now been proposed to be non-monophyletic and were split by section Nidulantes, Aenei and Raperi. To learn more about these sections, we have sequenced the genomes of 13 Aspergillus species from section Cavernicolus (A. cavernicola, A. californicus, and A. egyptiacus), section Usti (A. carlsbadensis, A. germanicus, A. granulosus, A. heterothallicus, A. insuetus, A. keveii, A. lucknowensis, A. pseudodeflectus and A. pseudoustus), and section Nidulantes (A. quadrilineatus, previously A. tetrazonus). We compared these genomes with 16 additional species from Aspergillus to explore their genetic diversity, based on their genome content, repeat-induced point mutations (RIPs), transposable elements, carbohydrate-active enzyme (CAZyme) profile, growth on plant polysaccharides, and secondary metabolite gene clusters (SMGCs). All analyses support the split of section Usti and provide additional insights: Analyses of genes found only in single species show that these constitute genes which appear to be involved in adaptation to new carbon sources, regulation to fit new niches, and bioactive compounds for competitive advantages, suggesting that these support species differentiation in Aspergillus species. Sections Usti and Cavernicolus have mainly unique SMGCs. Section Usti contains very large and information-rich genomes, an expansion partially driven by CAZymes, as section Usti contains the most CAZyme-rich species seen in genus Aspergillus. Section Usti is clearly an underutilized source of plant biomass degraders and shows great potential as industrial enzyme producers. Physical activities in the leisure time of the middle school students in the Usti Region
TITLE: Physical activities in the leisure time of the middle school students in the Usti Region AUTHOR: Tereza Sojková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Daniela Nováková ABSTRACT: This thesis investigates the extent of the middle school students pursuing physical activities in the Usti Region. The theoretical part concerns itself with importance of physical activities in human life, particularly in a child's life, and point out to the risks and problems connected to a sedentary lifestyle. The practical part focuses on physical activities of middle school students in chosen parts of the Usti Region. The questionnaire survey in this part of theses detects the extend of physical activities and differences between children living in bigger and smaller towns. Part of this passage is also mapping of current possibilities of physical activities and sports grounds in this region. Finally, there are several recommended changes presented in the paper that would lead to increase in interest of middle school students in physical activities, namely lowering prices of extracurricular physical activities and increase in amount of school physical activities. Present and the prospect of traffic service in Usti region
Tato práce se zabývá současným stavem dopravní obslužnosti v Ústeckém kraji. Za cíl si klade zlepšení vedení vybraných autobusových a vlakových linek a také doporučení nových přestupních uzlů. Ve své první části popisuje historii veřejné dopravy v Ústeckém kraji a analyzuje současný stav systému železniční a silniční dopravy, dále veřejné dopravy v městských aglomeracích. V druhé části navrhuje změny vybraných linek, doplňuje oblast o nové přestupní body a doporučuje zahrnout vybrané problémy současného stavu ve veřejné dopravě do připravovaného integrovaného dopravního systému v Ústeckém kraji. Poslední část práce obsahuje porovnání současného stavu dopravní obslužnosti s vlastním navrhovaným řešením.The bachelor thesis deals with the current state of transport service in the Usti region. The aim is to improve the administration of the selected bus and train lines and also recommend new interchanges. The first part describes the history of public passenger transport in the Usti region and analyses the present state of railway passenger and bus passenger transport as well as public passenger transport in the urban areas. In the second part there is suggestion to change some selected lines together with completion of new transfer points thus it recommends to include the chosen problems of actual public passenger transport into the prepared integrated transport system in the Usti region. The Strategy of Tourism Development in the Usti Region
Práce se věnuje aktuálnímu stavu cestovního ruchu v Ústeckém kraji. Analyzuje dokument Strategie rozvoje cestovního ruchu v Ústeckém kraji pro roky 2010-2015, a to především její části zaměřené na marketingové aktivity kraje. Hodnotí jeho strukturu, jeho uplatňování v praxi a snaží se vyhodnotit dopady jeho uplatňování. Na základě této analýzy doporučuje zlepšení do budoucna.The thesis focuses on the actual development of tourism in the Usti Region.
