No full textPráce je zaměřena k problému humanity u J. A. Komenského. Je tu předvedeno, jak se význam tohoto pojmu u různých myslitelů proměňoval. Pozornost je věnována myslitelům, pro které bylo Komenského dílo inspirací, a kteří při promýšlení problému lidskosti Komenského vypracovali své vlastní koncepce humanity. Pro J. G. Herdera, T. G. Masaryka a J. Patočku byl Komenský významným "apoštolem humanity". Význam pojmu "humanita" se u výše jmenovaných filosofů liší. Jejich pojetí však spojuje jejich touha po nápravě. Ať už chápali lidskost v souvislosti s dějinami, národní výchovou či vnitřní proměnou člověka, vždy měli na zřeteli blaho celého lidstva.The work is focused on the problem of humanity of J. A. Comenius. There is demonstrated how the meaning of that term is changing when dealing with different thinkers. Attention is paid to thinkers, for whom the work of Comenius was an inspiration, and who, when thinking about the problem of humanity of Comenius, developed their own conception of humanity. For J. G. Herder, T. G. Masaryk, and J. Patočka, Comenius was a major "apostle of humanity". Meaning of "humanity" differs for the above-mentioned philosophers. Its conception, however, is united by their desire for redress. No full textThe Author offers the original view of the last ten years Comenius spent in Amsterdam. Contrary to the common image of an old man who was ill and, therefore, only reminiscing, the author presents to then long-lived Comenius as a man who was physically fit, activelly interested in political and social events and taking care of his family members, but also determinated to complete and publish his writings, which he saw as fulfilling his agreement with God to begin the repair the life of human society. The author pays the attention not only the life and works produced in the last decade of the Comenius´s life, but to the issue of the alleged portrait of Comenius by Rembrandt, the issue of the accuracy of the date of his death, and the uncovering and securing of Comenius´s grave in cooperation with Dutch and Czechoslovak experts and politicians.Autor nabízí v příspěvku neotřelý pohled na posledních deset let, které Komenský prožil v Amsterdamu. Oproti běžné představě o nemocném, a tudíž již jen vzpomínajícím starci autor představuje i na tehdejší dobu dlouho žijícího Komenského jako muže fyzicky vitálního, aktivně se zajímajícího o politické a sociální světové dění, pečlivě se starající o členy rodiny, ale i o dokončování a vydávání spisů, které vnímal splnění dohody s Bohem o zahájení nápravy života lidské společnosti. Autor věnuje pozornost nejen životním osudům a jeho dílům, vzniklým v posledním desetiletí Komenského života, ale problematice údajného Rembrandtova portrétu Komenského, otázce přesnosti jeho data úmrtí a také odhalování a zabezpečení Komenského hrobu ve spolupráci nizozemským a československých odborníků a politiků
Comenius' Consolatory Writings
No full textThe submitted work deals with Comenius' consolatory writings. The writings included in the third volume of The Works of Jan Amos Komenský served, in particular, for acquaintance with the consolatory writings. The work examines the subject matter in four parts. At first it explains the historical and personal basis of Comenius' consolatory writings. It shows the brethren priest as a faithful shepherd of the church who in his writings consoles and encourages his sorrowful companions during an exceptionally tempestuous period. It also offers a general overview of Comenius' consolatory literature and a basic description of the individual works, including complementary information. In a special part it focusses on consolatory works as a separate literary genre, their historical development and linkage of Comenius' consolatory works, with emphasis on their theological foundation and practical aim. In the work there is also a literary and theological analysis of a selected consolatory work called Letters to Heaven, in which the author deals with the age-old question of theodicy from the aspect of Christian faith against the background of property inequality. The final conclusion contains a call for a multidisciplinary approach for a comprehensive understanding of the overall range and significance of Comenius'..

No full textDiplomová práce je věnována racionálnímu pojetí Komenského etiky. Zaměřuje se zejména na termín prudentia (rozumnost, též rozvážnost, obezřetnost, státnická moudrost). Prudentia je u Komenského "stavitelka" (architectrix) světa mravního (mundus moralis).
Jelikož se člověk snadno nechá svést na scestí, musí být podle Komenského veden rozumností, aby překonal všechny nepříznivé nástrahy. Komenský rozumnost vyžaduje ve všech oborech lidského jednání, ať už se jedná o ovládání sebe sama nebo ovládání druhých, či rozumného řízení celého království.
Komenského etické myšlení vychází především z Písma, z antické filosofie, zejména Aristotela a stoiků, zvláště Seneky.The diploma thesis is dedicated to the rational conception of Comenius' ethics. It focuses mainly on the term prudentia (rationality, prudence or wisdom of statesman). Prudentia is for Comenius the "architect" of the world of morality (mundus moralis).
Since man is easily led astray, he has to, according to Comenius, be guided by reason to overcome all the bad pitfalls. Comenius requires prudentia in all fields of human action, whether it is control of oneself or control of the others, or the rational ruling of the whole kingdom.
