Technological Readiness as Predictor of Artificial Intelligence Technology Adoption among Librarians in Nigeria
Abstract
This paper explained the influence of technological readiness on adoption of artificial intelligence technology, using data collected through Google form from 52 librarians in Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey research design and adapted the Technological Readiness Index 2.0 to design structured questionnaire on level of technological readiness among librarians in Nigeria. In addition, data was collected on demographic factors and prevalent artificial intelligent technologies adopted by the librarians. Findings reveal that Google Assistant is the prevalent artificial intelligence technology adopted by the librarians in Nigeria. Also, the librarians agreed more on the motivating factors than inhibiting factors for level of librarians’ technological readiness in Nigeria. However, findings from the study indicate that there is no significant relationship between technological readiness and adoption of artificial intelligence among librarians in Nigeria. Hence, the study suggests that other factors could contribute to the adoption of artificial intelligence among librarians in Nigeria
Security and preservation of election data in Nigeria in the fourth industrial revolution
A fraud-free and credible election is a necessary ingredient to the growth of democracy. Election malpractices and violence, from 1959 till date, have offered major challenges to the Nigerian political system. To achieve a sustainable democracy in Nigeria, it is important to build public trust by ensuring the security and preservation of electoral data. The world has gradually moved into the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), an era where artificial intelligence, big data, internet of things, robotics, blockchain, cloud computing and 3-D printing technologies dictate the pace of activities in all walks of life. This paper suggests specific 4IR technologies solutions to electoral data security and preservation challenges. It also suggests that the Nigerian Government announce policies to serve as catalysts for the Independent National Electoral Commission and stakeholders to harness these developments to ensure that electoral processes benefit from these technologies
IT Security and E-Banking in Nigeria

A total of forty customers were sampled from nine different banks in Nigeria using accidental sampling method and questionnaire was used as data collection instrument. They noted that IT security is a major challenge to e-banking in Nigeria and the banking industry is not stable enough for e-banking

The three nullhypothesis was analysed using the Multiple Regression model. The result (R2 = 0.608, Adj. R2= 0.602, F = 23.329, p <0.000b; Beta = .439, t= 3.451, p <0.05) showed that informationprocessing significantly influenced job performance of secretaries in public polytechnics,Osun State, Nigeria. The findings revealed a significant positive influence of informationprocessing on job performance and highlighted the necessity for secretaries to be proficientin handling information. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

The study concluded thatthe use of online legal resources by legal practitioners will provide extensive access to legalmaterials which will in turn promote quick dispensation of justice and enhance lawyer’sproductivity.
