Humanity of Rights: on Corradetti's human right and critical theory
Claudio Corradetti’s Human rights and critical theory is an argument for the idea of pluralistic universalism. The purpose of the volume is to demonstrate that human rights are something epochal and revolutionary, something that was realized at a specific historical moment, modernity, through a process of self-reflection. Subjects attain an idea of themselves as subjects and at the same time as subjects of law. In the following pages, while accepting Corradetti's thesis on the revolutionary character of human rights, I will argue the anthropological foundation of such rights, under penalty of the artificiality of the law itself. I will show that the subject of these rights cannot be considered one-dimensional nor can the law be fully resolved only in its legal formulation. The revolution of law is possible above all because the way of thinking of the subject’s self-reflection in the world is revolutionary: not only as a legal actor, but as ontologically endowed with dignity and values whose rights are a legal and political expression. What is meant by "human being"? And what is the human being subject to law? What makes it possible to attribute the rights to an individual? Why, precisely in modernity, do you feel the need to organize rights legally and to formulate human rights, while maintaining that they are the prerequisite for being part of civil society? Through a brief reconstruction of some salient moments in the history of law up to modernity, I will propose some reflections on the underlying conception of human beings. This conception remains problematic, however, it is important to ask the question about the sense of "human being" and the fact that this question remains "open" both in the formulation of the idea of law and in the values on which we believe it is based. The idea is that the revolution brought about by modern law is so well beyond its logical and legal forms - which however remain essential - and is of consequence not only to a new vision of the world order but also of human beings

In recent decades, African biblical studies have acquired ever greater visibility, helping to rethink the theological tradition starting from a decentralized perspective. This triggered a process of reflection on traditional epistemology - theological, but also political and social - and, consequently, favored initiatives and paths aimed at social, political and religious practice emancipation. The epistemic revolution to which African biblical studies contribute, however, does not limit its force of action to the continent, but calls for a different and more inclusive epistemic reflection even in those cultures that historically have been able to impose themselves more outside their own geographical borders. The aim of this essay is to make known and broadly analyze the role of African biblical studies in the horizon of decolonial theology and in the broader and more challenging process of rethinking the polarization between "center" and "peripheries" radicalized by the colonial experience before and then from globalization
Immagini e immaginari: riflessioni sulla violenza divina a partire da Es 15
The images of God passed down from biblical texts have strongly contributed to the building of our imaginaries (religious, social, political), becoming a way to legitimize or counter violence, conflicts or, on the contrary, build peace. Through the analysis of Exodus 15, this paper argues the usefulness of such biblical passages to question ourselves on the concepts of injustice and violence. The distance that separates the world of the reader from that of the text is certainly wide, as is that between the divine images and the religious imaginaries that they originated. This distance, however, is also the space for questions that allow us to develop our own conception of justice and injustice, of divine and religious violenc

From Divine Violence to Religious Violence. A Socio-Political Interpretation of Exodus
The purpose of this chapter is to try to understand the textual characteristics of divine images. In fact, they play an important role in the building of religious imaginaries, having also socio-political consequences.
The structure of this chapter is focused on the analysis of a biblical text. Limiting my analysis to Exodus 15, I will highlight some images of divine violence contained there. The Biblical tradition is extensive and complex, and the analysis of a single text meets the aim of giving a specific example, rather then developing a definitive theory that is valid for the whole Biblical corpus
Sensors for electrochemical determination of various oxidizable analytes with a graphene oxide (GO) and/or multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) modified glassy carbon electrode
Glassy carbon electrodes were modified by drop casting carbon nanomaterials, graphene oxide, GO, and multi-walled carbon nanotubes, MWCNTs, alone, mixed together (Composite) or in the form of bi-layers. The reduction of GO was carried out by means of a green approach consisting of 10 voltammetric cycles (CV) from 0 to –1.5 V, vs SCE at the scan rate of 0.05 V s-1, in acetate buffer 0.1 M at pH 4.5. The modified electrode was characterised by SEM, ATR-IR and UV-Vis analysis. Various compounds, like catechol and paracetamol, were investigated by cyclic voltammetry to find out which one responds most effectively to the modified electrode. Chronoamperometry was emplyed to prepare an analytical method for the determination of various analytes like L-cysteine, hydrazine
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
