Werte schulischer Begabtenförderung: Begabung und Leistung
No full textDas Karg Heft 04 schließt an die allgemeine und grundlegende Beleuchtung von Werten in der schulischen Begabtenförderung an, die Thema von KARG HEFT 03 („Werte schulischer Begabtenförderung - Begabungsbegriff und Wertorientierung“) war, und rückt nunmehr den spezifischen Wertekontext „Leistung“ in den Fokus. Dabei geht es vor allem um eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der traditionellen Notengebung bzw. um die Realisierung einer veränderten Leistungskultur in Schulen.
Über die schulpädagogischen Aspekte hinaus wird dazu die Frage thematisiert, welche Werte im Zusammenhang mit dem Leistungsprinzip in der Begabtenförderung von Bedeutung sind. Während auf der einen Seite der Leistungsbegriff zu erweitern ist und bisher wenig beachtete Leistungsbereiche neu bzw. wieder zu erschließen sind, ist auf der anderen Seite der Blick auf Leistung zu relativieren und mit weiteren Aspekten der Begabtenförderung in Balance zu bringen.

The first author examined three microslides in Karg’s collection at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Zoologische Staatssammlung München (Germany), labelled as follows: Nr. 3805 ♀, Hypoaspis cavitatis Karg, 1982, Brasilien, Camponotus rufipes, Nr. 29, Barueri, K. Lenko, 25.07.71; Nr. 3806 ♀, Hypoaspis cavitatis Karg, 1982. Brasilien Camponotus rufipes Nr. 29, Barueri, K. Lenko, 25.07.71; Nr. 3807 ♀, Hypoaspis cavitatis Karg, 1982. Brasilien Camponotus crassus Nr. 4574, K. Lenko, 16.12.64. Karg (1982) described Hypoaspis (Pneumolaelaps) cavitatis as a new species from Barueri, State of São Paulo, Brazil, where it was found on Camponotus rufipes (Fabricius) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Joharchi & Halliday (2013) excluded H. (L.) cavitatis from Laelaspisella in the belief that the metasternal setae st4 are present, as illustrated by Karg (1982, Fig. 6c) and Karg & Schorlemmer (2013, Fig. 6b). However, in the three specimens we examined, which appear to be the types, st4 was absent (Figs 25 & 26). This species shows the following important attributes of Laelaspisella: (1) dorsal shield hypertrichous and with at least 11–13 non-secretory slit-like pore-like structures (Fig. 24); (2) metasternal setae st4 absent (Figs 25 & 26); (3) genitiventral shield large and broadly tapered posteriorly (Fig. 25); (4) iv3 located on posterolateral angles of sternal shield (Fig. 26); (5) para-anal setae (Pa) about half as long as post-anal seta (Po) (Fig. 26); (6) setae Jv5 and Zv5 pilose, longer and thicker than the other opisthogastric setae (Fig. 26); (7) internal malae densely fringed and with elongate threads (Fig. 27); (8) palp tarsal claw with two tines (Fig. 28); (9) tibia I with 13 setae (2 3/2 3/1 2), pd3 present; (10) genu IV with 10 setae (2 2/1 3/1 1). Notes. According to Moreira et al. (2014), C. confinisetarum Moreira, Klompen & Moraes, 2014, is closely related to Cosmolaelaps guttulata (Karg, 1978). They separated these species based on three main characters: the smooth dorsal shield, the presence of only two unpaired setae on the opisthonotal region of the dorsal shield, and j 5 setae distinctly closer together than j 4 setae in C. guttulata. In C. confinisetarum the dorsal shield is reticulated with three unpaired setae and the distance of j 4 –j 4 in comparison with j 5 –j 5 is less than that in C. guttulata (Moreira et al., 2014). Our observations of the type materials of C. guttulata (Figs 31, 32: based on microslides No. 3767 and 3772), revealed that the dorsal shield of this species has reticulated pattern similar to that of C. confinisetarum, and with three unpaired Jx setae (Fig. 32) on dorsal shield (in spite of two in original description in Karg, 1978). The distances between the bases of j 4 –J 4 and j 5 –j 5 in C. guttulata is (46–50) and (29–33) respectively (measurements is based on type materials: microslides Nr. 3737, 3769 and 3770 in museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Germany). We could find no convincing distinguishing morphological differences between C. guttulata and C. confinisetarum, so C. confinisetarum is considered as junior synonym of C. guttulata. The Iranian specimens of C. brevipedestra have 39 pairs of dorsal shield setae and three unpaired Jx setae. In the holotype of this species there are two unpaired Jx setae posterior to J 1, while in our specimens there is only one unpaired Jx in this location. This situation was observed in some undescribed species of Gaeolaelaps genus in the mite collection of first author in Shahrekord University, Iran. The number of unpaired Jx setae on opisthonotal part apparently lacks taxonomic value to use as an important character to separate species in Cosmolaelaps. Observations of the type materials of C. guttulata revealed a mistake in the number of teeth of fixed cheliceral digit in original description (Karg, 1978) which was cited as seven teeth in addition to distal tooth. Acoustic neutrino detection in ice: Past, present, and future
No full textAcoustic neutrino detection is a promising technique to instrument the large volumes required to measure the small expected flux of ultra-high energy cosmogenic neutrinos. Using ice as detection medium allows for coincident detection of neutrino interactions with acoustic sensors, radio antennas and optical light sensors with the benefit of cross calibration possibilities or independent measurements of the the same event. We review the past development of the field and discuss its current status and challenges. Results from site exploration studies, mainly by the South Pole Acoustic Test Setup (SPATS) which has been codeployed with the IceCube neutrino telescope at South Pole, and current physics results are presented. Current ideas for the design, calibration, and deployment of acoustic sensors for new projects are shown. The possible role of the acoustic technique in future in-ice neutrino detectors is discussed
Women on the Labour Market – Analysis of the Conditions
No full textProblematyka roli i miejsca kobiet w przestrzeni publicznej, czyli w społeczeństwie, na rynku pracy i w szeroko rozumianej polityce, jest tematem coraz częściej poruszanym przez wielu naukowców, dziennikarzy, obserwatorów i komentatorów życia społecznego, gospodarczego i politycznego. Zachodzące we współczesnym świecie zmiany społeczne i gospodarcze stwarzają warunki, które sprzyjają zwiększeniu liczby kobiet na rynku pracy, współuczestniczeniu w procesie zarządzania, a także wzrostowi ich ambicji zawodowych. Mimo tego można wskazywać na wiele trudności i problemów związanych z ich pozycją i sytuacją. Biorąc pod uwagę strefę biznesu, wyraźnie widać niedoreprezentowanie kobiet, szczególnie na najbardziej eksponowanych stanowiskach. Naturalne zatem wydają się pytania o przyczyny takiej sytuacji. Rozważania w niniejszym tekście skoncentrowano na niezwykle – wydaje się – ważkich zagadnieniach związanych z problemami kobiet na rynku pracy. Celem jest zatem analiza wybranych uwarunkowań i determinantów mających wpływ na udział kobiet na rynku pracy.The role and place of women in society, on the labour market or in politics is a subject which is increasingly recognized by many scientists, journalists, observers and commentators. A tide of social and economic changes in today’s world contribute to the increase in the number of women on the labour market and consequently enhance their participation in the management processes, as well as their professional ambitions. However, there are many difficulties and obstacles related to their situation and professional positions. Taking into consideration the business field, the women’s underrepresentation is clearly visible, particularly in the most prominent positions. The author of the article provides the most important considerations related to the situation, conditions and problems of women on the labour market.
