<i>P. katangensis</i> (Cockerell 1934) <p> <i>Halictus</i> (<i>Patellapis</i>) <i>katangensis</i> Cockerell, 1934: 111-112.</p> <p> We have studied a single male with the handwritten label “ <i>Halictus katangensis</i> Ckll. ” from the BMNH (1♂, Belgian Congo, Katanga, Dilolo, 24.-27.vii.1931, Mrs. W.P. Cockerell). Patellapis (Chaetalictus) drakensbergensis sp. n. Timmermann (Figs. 96a–d) Diagnosis. The female is unknown. The male is characterised by the lack of hairs on the dorso-lateral projection of the gonostylus, which is a character also occurring in P. minima. Both are easy to distinguish by the structure of the scutal surface, which is finely reticulate in P. minima and coarsely reticulate in P. drakensbergensis. Description Female. Unknown. Male. Bl = 4,2mm. General habitus (Fig. 96d). Head. L = 1,4mm; W = 1,4mm. Head as wide as long (Fig. 96a). Integument black except mandibles partly reddish-brown. Clypeus, supraclypeal area, paraocular area and vertex covered with erect, greyish hairs. Mandibles simple. Antennae brownish-black. Flagellomeres of normal structure (not knotty). A4 as long as A3. Mesosoma. L = 0,8mm; W (ITS) = 0,9mm. Integument black. Scutum slightly dull; densely punctate (i = d); surface coarsely reticulate (Fig. 96b). Scutellum as illustrated in Fig. 96c. Scutum, scutellum, metanotum, mesepisternum and propodeum with greyish, erect hairs. Pronotal lobe reddish-brown. Basal area of propodeum as illustrated in Fig. 96c; propodeum slightly dull; coarsely sculptured. Marginal region of posterior truncation slightly dull; extensively wrinkled. Wings. Hyaline. Legs. Integument reddish-brown. Vestiture greyish. Metasoma. L = 2,1mm; W = 1,1mm. Integument brownish-black except the margins of T pallid brown; margins of T broadly translucent. Apical plate broad; pointed apically. Posterior margin of S4 without bristles. Metasomal sterna S5–S6 without dense hair patches. Genitalia. Gonocoxa extensively dull; gonostylus with dorso-lateral, long and slender projection; projection hairless. Type material (1 specimen). Holotype, male, Free State, Van Reenen, xii.1926, leg. R. E. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Patellapis (Patellapis) leonis (Cockerell 1940) Halictus leonis Cockerell, 1940a: 90–91. (Figs. 40a–g) Diagnosis. The most similar species is P. longifacies. Both are characterised by the elongate face. They can be easily distinguished by the size and structure of the basitibial plate, which is broader and larger in P. longifacies than in P.leonis. The male of P. leonis is unknown. Description Female. Bl = 6,3mm. General habitus (Fig. 40e). Head. L = 2,0mm; W = 2,0mm. Head as long as wide; face elongate (Fig. 40a). Integument black except mandibles, clypeus, supraclypeal area and paraocular area partly blackish-brown. Face predominantly polished and with loose, greyish, erect hairs. Mandibles bidentate. Clypeus and supraclypeal area convex in profile. Clypeus finely and sparsely punctate; surface shiny. Clypeoantennal distance 0,4mm. Supraclypeal area with a few, small punctures; punctures well separated; surface shiny. Paraocular area moderately strongly and densely punctate; surface partly sculptured; rather shiny. Antennae brownish-black. Mesosoma. L = 1,5mm; W (ITS) = 1,7mm. Integument black. Scutum shiny; disc moderately strongly and densely punctate (i = d) (Fig. 40b). Scutellum as illustrated in Fig. 40c. Scutum, scutellum, metanotum, mesepisternum and propodeum with greyish, erect hairs. Basal area of propodeum as illustrated in Fig. 40c; propodeum shiny, with minute punctures well separated; surface completely sculptured. Marginal region of posterior truncation shiny and completely reticulate. Wings. Hyaline. Legs. Integument brownish. Vestiture greyish. Ts moderately strongly serrate, with 5–6 oblique projections (Fig. 40f). Bp narrow; pointed apically (Fig. 40g). Metasoma. L = 3,4mm; W = 2,3mm. Integument blackish-brown except the margins of T pallid brownish and extensively translucent. Weak apical hair bands on T2–T3 (those on T1 only present laterally). Prepygidial fimbria yellowish-brown. Metasomal terga as illustrated in Fig. 40d. Male. Unknown. Type material (1 specimen). Holotype, female, S. Africa.
