Cutting'aesthetic teeth' : Flannery O'Connor's habit of art
Factor structure and psychometric properties of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale among Chinese adolescents
Objectives: Resilience refers to psychological characteristics that promote effective coping and positive adaptation in adversity. This study investigated the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) among adolescents

Gender and body image
That gender has a considerable impact on people’s body image may seem obvious based on the considerable attention paid to women’s and men’s bodies in popular culture (Thompson, Heinberg, Altabe, & Tantleff-Dunn, 1999; Wolf, 1991)
Assessing the quality of maternal health care in Indigenous primary care services
Letter to the EditorImproving access to appropriate, good‐quality care in the antenatal and postnatal period is a key part of closing the acknowledged gap between Indigenous and other Australians in perinatal outcomes. Previous research in a large Aboriginal medical service in Queensland demonstrated sustained improvements in perinatal outcomes associated with a quality improvement approach. Here we describe patterns of the delivery of maternity care and service gaps on a broad scale, using data from baseline clinical audits in 34 Indigenous primary health centres participating in a national quality improvement intervention.Alice R Rumbold, Ross S Bailie, Damin Si, Michelle C Dowden, Catherine M Kennedy, Rhonda J Cox, Lynette O’Donoghue, Helen E Liddle, Ru K Kwedza, Sandra C Thompson, Hugh P Burke, Alex D Brown, Tarun Weeramanthri and Christine M Connor
Stressor-induced alterations in serotonergic activity in an animal model of depression
Examined the effect of 2 neurogenic stressors (air puff and restraint) and a metabolic stressor (lipopolysaccharide; 100 ?g/kg) on accumbal serotonergic neurotransmission in the olfactory bulbectomized (OB) rat model of depression. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were used in 2 studies. Both puff and restraint stress caused greater increases in accumbal 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) in OB vs sham-operated rats. In contrast, bulbectomy resulted in a blunted serotonergic response to a challenge with the metabolic stressor. In addition, OB rats displayed significantly basal levels of 5-HIAA than sham-operated Ss, a finding consistent with previous reports of the OB rat being a model of hyposerotonergic depression. The relevance of these findings to stressor-provoked depressive-like behaviors in the OB rat is discussed
LETTER TO THE EDITOR REGARDING: EVOLVING BUSINESS MODELS IN ORTHOTICS BY SCHNEIDER, N.
The purpose of this letter is to continue the dialogue regarding the paper "Evolving business models in Orthotics" in the Canadian Prosthetics & Orthotics Journal Volume 4, Issue2, No.3, 2021. In it we present the perspective of the current Alberta Association of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) and provide additional context and information on historical events. Finally, we provide additional clarity on how costing is approached in the Province of Alberta (Canada) and the purported inequity in compensation between the two disciplines.

Effect of solvent on the hydrogenation of 4-phenyl-2-butanone over Pt based catalysts
The hydrogenation of 4-phenyl-2-butanone over Pt/TiO2 and Pt/SiO2 catalysts has been performed in a range of solvents and it has been observed that the solvent impacted on the selectivity of ketone and aromatic ring hydrogenation as well as the overall TOF of the titania catalyst with no solvent effect on selectivity observed using the silica supported catalyst where ring hydrogenation was favored. For the titania catalyst, alkanes were found to favor ring hydrogenation whereas aromatics and alcohols led to carbonyl hydrogenation. A two-site catalyst model is proposed whereby the aromatic ring hydrogenation occurs over the metal sites while carbonyl hydrogenation is thought to occur predominantly at interfacial sites, with oxygen vacancies in the titania support activating the carbonyl. The effect of the solvent on the hydrogenation reaction over the titania catalyst was related to competition for the active sites between solvent and 4-phenyl-2-butanone
