Antecedents Of Brand Origin Recognition Accuracy (BORA) And It’s Impact On Product Preferences Among Young Malaysians
This study seeks to examine the antecedents of Brand Origin Recognition Accuracy (hereinafter called BORA) score, measure young Malaysians’ BORA score and test the consequences of BORA score. The antecedents of BORA score are consumer ethnocentrism, consumer animosity, need for cognition, education, international experience, vocation and gender. In this study, there are six measures of BORA scores, namely Overall BORA score, Malaysia BORA score, Foreign BORA score, US BORA score, Europe BORA score and Singapore BORA score

I Know You: User Profiling on Social Media Usage of Chinese Private University Students
Chinese university students’ use of social media is becoming increasingly diverse, and students from private universities in China have different group characteristics than those from public universities. This research endeavoured to establish a comprehensive user profile of Chinese private university students by examining their social media usage patterns. The purpose was to gain profound insights into the distinctive attributes of students in China’s private universities within the context of the current era characterised by extensive data availability. This study employed a questionnaire-based research approach to acquire a dataset consisting of 673 instances of social media usage among students enrolled in private universities in China. Subsequently, exploratory factor analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software, extracting five (5) categorical feature tags. Combined with the extracted feature tags and the usage status and perception dimension data, the K-means cluster analysis method was used to perform rapid clustering to derive four (4) differentiated groups comprising information exchange-oriented users, instrument-oriented users, dependent-oriented users and entertainment-oriented users. Furthermore, thorough analysis and description of the essential attributes for these 4 user profile categories have been conducted by incorporating the fundamental user information
The internationalization of Born Globals business schools: A conceptual framework
In responding to contemporary emerging trends of the globalization, this paper aims at introducing a new insight to be added to the previous studies in the literature review in the field of educational management. To be a new research, this study provides new thoughts compared to existing literature, it explores the Born Global and Uppsala theories of internationalization and its feasibility to examine Born Global in the internationalization of business schools. It also provides new insights on how the Born Global model of internationalization allows the influence of other elements to benefit the internationalization process in business schools. Many business schools failed in achieving their internationalization delivery and unable to translate the knowledge they produce into the emerging world knowledge economy. As the world is said to be undergoing a change of education due to the impression of internationalization, there is an urge for business schools to revamp their curriculum and programs to keep pace with global economic transformation as well as to equip business graduates with the 21st century skills demands. This new insight created by the current studies offers conceptual framework of the business schools internationalization process on Born Global perspectives, which has the potential contributions towards reaching internationalization goals and enhancing better quality of business school's education
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
