    El texto analiza la trayectoria de Gastón Bourquin, fotógrafo de origen suizo activo en la Argentina entre 1914 y 1950. Su trabajo como fotógrafo y editor lo ubica entre los productores fotográficos más importantes de la primera mitad del siglo pasado. El artículo es el resultado de un trabajo sobre su archivo conservado en el Museo de la Ciudad (y del que se desprendió una exposición curada por los autores, y realizada en 2018 en el mismo museo), materiales del acervo familiar e investigaciones en distintas colecciones particulares y públicas y bibliotecas.
