Changes of the Environment Conditions During Development of the Suda - Zviedri Mire Lakes

Darbā sagatavotā informācija tiks iesniegta Gaujas NP administrācijai, lai palīdzētu sagatavot apskatu par Sudas-Zviedru purva ezeru vides apstākļiem to attīstības gaitā. Pētījumā iegūtā informācija palīdzēs sagatavot informatīvos materiālus arī parka apmeklētājiem, kas ļaus labāk izprast purva ezeru veidošanos, uzbūvi un nogulumu stratigrāfiju, un faktorus, kas nosaka šo ezeru mūsdienu vides apstākļus
Darba gaitā autore iepazinās ar pieejamo literatūru par Sudas-Zviedru purvu, ar kartogrāfiskajiem materiāliem un interneta resursiem, apguva lauka darba metodes, tai skaitā veģetācijas kartēšanu un ūdens paraugu ņemšanu. Vides kvalitātes monitoringa laboratorijā autore apguva un veica ūdens ķīmisko analīzi. Tika sastādīta ap ezeriem esošās veģetācijas kartoshēma.
Bakalaura darbs ietver: 76 lapas, 19 attēli, 9 tabulas, 7 pielikumus, 67 literatūras avoti.

Materials prepared in the frame of the bachelor’s work will be submitted to the administration of the Gauja National Park for better understanding of the mire lakes development, stratigraphy and factors determining environment conditions and vegetation diversity on the different mire lakes.
During working out of the Bachelor’s work author surveyed literature about Sudas-Zviedru Mire, cartographic materials and internet resources, acquired field work methods, carried out vegetation mapping, visual estimation of the environmental conditions, water sampling. In the Laboratory of the Environment Quality Monitoring author acquired and carried out water chemical analysis. Map of the present vegetation around the mire lakes has been prepared.

No full textBakalaura darbā ‘‘Aizkraukles purva sociālā un ekonomiskā nozīme‘‘analizēta Aizkraukles purva ekonomiskā un sociālā nozīme gan apkārtējo novadu ekonomikā gan purva tuvumā dzīvojošo iedzīvotāju un purva izmantotāju ikdienas dzīvē. Šo procesu izpratne ir ļoti nozīmīga purva ilgtspējīgu aizsardzības un saglabāšanas, kā arī piemērotas turpmākas apsaimniekošanas nodrošināšanā.
Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt Aizkraukles purva ekonomisko un sociālo nozīmi. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, bakalaura darbā autore analizējusi purva izstrādes ekonomiskos rādītājus, kā arī informāciju, ko ieguvusi veicot daļēji strukturētās intervijas ar vietējiem iedzīvotājiem, mednieku klubiem un ekspertiem.
Pētījuma teritorija ir Aizkraukles purvs, kur viena otrai atrodas blakus divas dažādas daļas – dabiska, kur ir dabas liegums ar īpaši aizsargājamām augu un dzīvnieku sugām un ietekmēta, kur notiek kūdras ieguve. Apkopotie rezultāti parāda, ka iedzīvotāji purva dabas vērtības uztver ļoti racionāli, aizmirstot par purva īpaši aizsargājamās teritorijas statusu. Darbs sastāv no literatūras apskata par purviem, to tipiem, izplatību, par to ekonomiskajām un dabas vērtībām, par ekosistēmu pakalpojumiem, pētījuma materiālu un metožu apraksta, rezultātu apkopojuma un pielikumiem.

The aim of Bachelor paper is to explore the social and economic value of Aizkraukle bog. To achieve the aim, the author analyzed the bog extraction economic indicators as well as the information obtained through semi-structured interviews with local residents, hunters clubs and experts.
The study area is Aizkraukle bog where the other one is located next to two different parts - a natural, which is a nature reserve with a specially protected plant and animal species and the impact on the place of peat extraction. Pooled results show that people perceive the value of the natural bog very rational, forgetting about the bog special areas of conservation status. The work consists of the literature review of the bogs, their types, the prevalence, about the natural and economic values, ecosystem services, the study of materials and description of the methods, the summary of results and appendix.

Cultural communication and the construction of the Latvian national identity in Latvian theatre performances - National Theatre "Pūt, vējiņi", Valmiera Drama Theatre "Pazudušais dēls" and performance of Liepaja Theatre "Purva bridējs ugunī"
No full textBakalaura darba tēma ir “Kultūras komunikācija un latviešu nacionālās identitātes konstruēšana Latvijas teātru izrādēs – Nacionālā teātra “Pūt, vējiņi”, Valmieras drāmas teātra “Pazudušais dēls”, Liepājas teātra izrāde “Purva bridējs ugunī”. Darba ietvaros tika analizētas trīs teātra izrādēs attēlotās zīmes un simboli. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā atšķiras nacionālās identitātes konstruēšana katrā no izrādēm. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trīs daļām – teorētiskās, metodoloģijas un empīriskās daļas un septiņām apakšnodaļām. Darba teorētiskajā daļā aplūkotas Benedikta Andersona, Entonija Smita un citu pētnieku pieejas. Šajā darbā aplūkoti jēdzieni nacionālā identitāte, sociālais konstruktīvisms, teātris komunikācijas procesos, kā arī teātra semiotika. Metodoloģijas daļā aprakstītas pētījumā izmantotās pētniecības metodes, semiotikas analīzes kategorijas, daļēji strukturētās intervijas un fokusgrupu intervija. Izmantojot semiotikas analīzi un intervijas ar režisoriem un scenogrāfi, darbā mēģināts izprast nacionālās identitātes konstruēšanu trīs konkrētās izrādēs, apskatot tajās atainotās zīmes un simbolus.The theme of the bachelor's work is “The cultural communication and the construction of the Latvian national identity in Latvian theatre performances – National Theatre “Pūt, Vējiņi”, Valmiera Drama Theatre “Pazudušais dēls” and performance of Liepaja Theatre “Purva bridējs ugunī””. Within the framework of the work were analysed signs and symbols depicted in three theatre performances. The purpose of the research is to find out how the construction of national identity differs in each of the performances. The bachelor's work consists of three parts - part of theory, part of methodology and part of the empiric, and seven subsections. The theoretical part of the work deals with the approaches of Benedict Anderson, Anthony D. Smith and other researchers. This bachelor’s work describes about the concept of national identity, concept of social constructivism, concept of theater in communication processes, as well as concept of theatre semiotics. The part of methodology describes - in the study used research methods, the categories of semiotic analysis, semi-structured interviews, and focus group interviews. Author of the work tries to understand the construction of national identity in three specific performances, by looking at the signs and symbols depicted therein, using semiotic analysis and interviews with directors, and set designers
Briefing : waste management techniques and environmental solutions – a significant association
Get PDF This briefing article presents the waste issues and concerns from a broader environmental perspective. In doing so, the briefing demonstrates a significant and complex relationship between environmental solutions and waste management techniques. Shedding light on such an association enables the author to argue about current dominant waste management solutions (recycling and recovery) and other technological solutions – rethinking problems rather than solving them. Simultaneously, the reader is directed towards the importance of reuse, which is currently overshadowed in the waste hierarchy by the term ‘preparing-for-reuse’. </jats:p
Diffusion of blockchain technology: Insights from academic literature and social media analytics
No full textPurpose: Although blockchain is often discussed, its actual diffusion seems to be varying for different industries. The purpose of this paper is to explore the blockchain technology diffusion in different industries through a combination of academic literature and social media (Twitter). Design/methodology/approach: The insights derived from the academic literature and social media have been used to classify industries into five stages of the innovation-decision process, namely, knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation and confirmation (Rogers, 1995). Findings: Blockchain is found to be diffused in almost all industries, but the level of diffusion varies. The analysis highlights that manufacturing industry is at the knowledge stage. Further public administration is at persuasion stage. Subsequently, transportation, communications, electric, gas and sanitary services and trading industry had reached to the decision stage. Then, services industries have reached to implementation stage while finance, insurance and real estate industries are the innovators of blockchain technologies and have reached the confirmation stage of innovation-decision process. Practical implications: Actual implementations of blockchain technology are still in its infancy stage for most of the industries. The findings suggest that specific industries are developing specific blockchain applications. Originality/value: To the best of the authors’ knowledge this is the first study which is using social media data for investigating the diffusion of blockchain in industries. Perceived usefulness, ease of use and user acceptance of blockchain technology for digital transactions–insights from user-generated content on Twitter
No full textAlthough blockchain has attracted a great deal of attention from academia and industry there is a lack of studies on acceptance drivers. This study explores blockchain acceptance by mining the collective intelligence of users on Twitter. It maps blockchain user acceptance drivers to technology acceptance constructs. The analysis shows that users are attracted by security, privacy, transparency, trust and traceability aspects provided by blockchain. On Twitter more discussions on blockchain benefits than on drawbacks. Initial coin offering (ICO) is extensively discussed. Polarization and acculturation in US Election 2016 outcomes – Can twitter analytics predict changes in voting preferences
Get PDFElections are among the most critical events in a national calendar. During elections, candidates increasingly use social media platforms to engage voters. Using the 2016 US presidential election as a case study, we looked at the use of Twitter by political campaigns and examined how the drivers of voter behaviour were reflected in Twitter. Social media analytics have been used to derive insights related to theoretical frameworks within political science. Using social media analytics, we investigated whether the nature of social media discussions have an impact on voting behaviour during an election, through acculturation of ideologies and polarization of voter preferences. Our findings indicate that discussions on Twitter could have polarized users significantly. Reasons behind such polarization were explored using Newman and Sheth's model of voter's choice behaviour. Geographical analysis of tweets, users, and campaigns suggests acculturation of ideologies among voting groups. Finally, network analysis among voters indicates that polarization may have occurred due to differences between the respective online campaigns. A Value-Oriented Approach to Studying the Novellas by Rūdolfs Blaumanis at Grade 11
No full textDiplomdarba „ Vērtīborientējoša Rūdolfa Blaumaņa noveļu iepazīšana 11.klasē” mērķis ir atklāt nozīmīgas un mūsdienās aktuālas vērtības Rūdolfa Blaumaņa novelēs. Diplomdarba struktūru veido sešas nodaļas.
Pirmajā nodaļā izklāstīti autores teorētiski pamatotie uzskati, par vērtīborientējošu sadarbību literatūras mācību procesā. Otrajā nodaļā autore iepazīstina ar Rūdolfa Blaumaņa personības un daiļrades izpēti. Trešajā nodaļa autore iepazīstina ar vērtībām, par kurām raksta rakstnieks savās novelēs „Salna pavasarī”, „Purva bridējs” un „Andriksons”. Ceturtā nodaļa veltīta skolēnu izpētei un mācību materiālu sagatavošanai. Piektajā nodaļā atklāta Rūdolfa Blaumaņa vērtīborientējoša noveļu iepazīšana mācību stundās. Sestajā nodaļā analizēta un vērtēta skolotājas un skolēnu sadarbības norise.
Diplomdarbam ir pievienoti pielikumi, kuros atrodami skolēnu veiktie uzdevumi un autores izveidotās darba lapas.The main goal of the graduation work "A Value-Oriented Approach to Studying the Novellas by Rūdolfs Blaumanis at Grade 11" is to discover important and in our days actual values of Rudolfs Blaumanis novels.
The graduation work is structured into six chapters.
In first chapter author recitals views about values oriented collaboration in the teaching process. In second chapter author presents Rudolf's Blaumanis personality and literature review. In third chapter author introduces with values which is shown in Rudolfs Blaumanis novels „Salna pavasarī”, „Purva bridējs” and „Andriksons”. In forth chapter is devoted to research of students and learning material preparation. In fifth chapter is reviewed value oriented introduction of Rudolfs Blaumanis novels in classroom. Sixth chapter analyzes and evaluates teacher and student cooperation’s.
