    Language does not only express ideas but is also reflective of social behaviors. One can easily notice that several social discriminations are constantly being transmitted through derogatory words, idioms and phrases. This article seeks to divulge various forms of discrimination, not only informing daily social communiqué but registered by dictionaries as well.     This article discusses the socio-imperialistic aspects as well as the origins of words as they come to be used in a language. Language is often influenced by the attitudes and behavior of the dominant class of a society. The West, after having ruled over the East for a number of centuries, appears to have established itself in the minds of the subjugated races as superior in color, manner, etc., so that white and red is all good, whereas black has come to denote all that is vile and vicious. This article traces in the Urdu Language such words which have acquired either a negative or a positive meaning vis-à-vis trends that took root as a result of such imperialistic influence

Therewas no any concept of thematic poem in classical age of Urdu poetry but Nazeer Akbar Abadi is an exception who wrote poems on themes. Modern Urdu poem is started in colonial period of India. Muhammad Husain Azad, Hali and some other poets wrote thematic poems from the platform of Anjuman-e-Punjab. Progressive poets wrote poems on social and economical issues.On the other hand poets who were affiliated with Halqa Arbab-e-Zoq focused on inner feelings and individuality of man. Movement of new poetry started after 1960. Poets who were affiliated with new poetry movement raised some philosophical questions about man and new issues of modern societ
