Puusuutarit ry TuoteTalon käsikirja : TuoteTalon toteutuksen prosessinhallinta
Opinnäytetyönä laadittiin käyttökelpoinen ja kattava käsikirja TuoteTalon prosessinhallinnan tueksi. Tämän opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimii Puusuutarit ry, joka on Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun rakennustekniikan opiskelijoiden yhdistys.
Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan TuoteTalon toteutusprosessin hallintaa ja kehittämistä. Työssä käsitellään rakennusprosessin eri vaiheita. Erityisesti käsitellään TuoteTalon runkoelementtien siirtoa rakennushallille, hallilla suoritettavia rakennustöitä sekä messuhallilla toteutettavia työvaiheita. Lisäksi puretaan TuoteTalon ajanhallintaa ja riskien hallintaa sekä riskien jakautumista pääryhmiin.
Taloudellistesta näkökulmasta työssä tarkastellaan TuoteTalon kustannusrakennetta ja kustannusten hallintakeinoja, kuten hankintaprosessin tehostamista, määrälaskentaa ja logistiikan optimointia. Tulosten perusteella voidaan todeta, että huolellinen suunnittelu, hankintaprosessin optimointi ja resurssien tehokas käyttö ovat keskeisiä tekijöitä projektin onnistumisen kannalta.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin empiirisenä tutkimuksena, jossa hyödynnettiin kirjoittajan omaa kokemusta Puusuutareiden TuoteTalon vastuuhenkilönä toimimisesta sekä olemassa olevia dokumentteja, kuten työtunti- ja kustannuskirjanpitoa. Tutkimus kattoi kaksi (2) toimintakautta, joista ensimmäisellä opinnäytetyön kirjoittaja toimi Puusuutareiden hankintavastaavana ja toisella hankintapäällikkönä.
Jatkotutkimuksen kannalta voisi olla hyödyllistä luoda TuoteTalon rakennustekniseen dokumentaatioon keskittyvä käsikirja, jonka avulla TuoteTalon rakentamista voitaisiin helpottaa ja systematisoida. Lisäksi hankintaprosessin optimointi tarjoaa mahdollisuuksia projektin kehittämiseen tulevaisuudessa.Implementing TuoteTalo is a multi-stage process. Transferring project management skills to new generation of Puusuutarit ry has previously been challenging, as there has been no clear guide on the project phases and management. The thesis was commissioned by Puusuutarit ry, an association of construction engineering students at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The purpose of this thesis was to develop a practical and comprehensive handbook to support TuoteTalo's process management. The study focused on managing and improving TuoteTalo’s implementation process, covering key stages of construction, time management, and risk mitigation strategies at phases of the project.
The thesis was conducted as an empirical study, drawing on practical experience gained from holding key responsibilities within Puusuutarit’s TuoteTalo project, as well as reviewing existing documentation such as work hour records and financial reports. The study covered two operational periods, during which the author first served as a procurement coordinator and later as a procurement manager.
The findings of the study indicated that careful planning, an efficient procurement process, and efficient resource management were key factors in the project's success. A potential topic for further research could be a study focusing on the TuoteTalo construction process, with a broader emphasis on structural and technical details
Developing a Brand Identity Strategy: the case of Pioneer Association Ry
This thesis aims to serve as a manual and record of events that followed the ide- ation, process, and execution of building a brand identity for Pioneer Association Ry. The creator of the new brand identity is the author of this thesis, and the commissionaire is the non-profit organization Pioneer Association Ry.
Pioneer Association Ry is a non-profit organization built by students with the aims of generating a safe network for young second-generation immigrants, born and raised in Finland, but that still feel divided in society by their back- grounds. The goal is to inspire and offer opportunities to these young people in order to help them build a suitable career path.
The author of this thesis actively approached the organization in order to take part of their visual design challenges. They were facing a lack of creatives willing to collaborate with the elaboration of the brand identity for the recently registered association. The author proposed to collaborate on this project by offering them the brand identity creation they needed, plus a record and compilation of the process under the form of this thesis report.
The quantitative research data for this thesis is collected mainly through an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will rotate around the topics of Brand Image and Awareness, as its main goal is that of understanding what the tar- geted audience needs and how do they react to the proposed image-related top- ics.
The focus group is young second-generation immigrants, that share an inter-
est in developing and integrating themselves as professionals in the working force. Interviewees are gathered from Pioneer Association Ry’s network, as well as the author’s personal network. The results are analyzed and presented on this thesis to give a better direction to the Brand Identity creation, based on the feedback and comments gathered from the questionnaires. Additionally, the fi- nal results of this research offer valuable guidance on how to approach and de- velop a brand identity for a new company/association, as well as the Brand Iden- tity as a final product for the commissionaire Pioneer Association Ry
Career Development in ICT for a Professional Association of Electrotechnical Standardization
The objective of the thesis was to audit the current systems and services utilized by a professional association, SESKO ry, and to subsequently consider practical improvements which were in line with the best interests of its members. This is presented in a diary format with working days described, along with weekly summaries and analysis.
The aim was to document professional development in Information Communication Technology (ICT) development, as an employee transitions from being an external contractor to an internal employee for the professional association SESKO ry. This thesis was conducted during early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had substantial influence on the role and responsibilities of the author.
The theoretical framework was based on a prior working relationship with SESKO ry, acknowledging an underlying need for the adoption of new ICT procedures due to a change management process. The diary utilized a Kaizen PDCA model, with reference literature corresponding to the job description and assigned projects. Internal and unpublished material for IT system and service development of SaaS tools, service management contracts, electrotechnical standardization documents, templates for reporting and presentation material were also included in the framework.
The results of the diary confirmed early analysis of the author, in that there was a need for certain systems and services to be reconsidered. The communication methods also required a revamp, and this can be seen in weekly summaries. This was achieved through reaching a consensus within the professional association.
The analysis resulted in new projects being initiated for SESKO ry; the implementation of an IT assets management system and a move from local server systems to cloud based services. The work conducted during this thesis validated author’s future employment as ICT Developer and project leader

Organizational structure of collectives. Case study: MYÖS Ry
The aim of this thesis was to make a research on collective ways of operating and flat organizational structure. Commissioner for this paper is non-profit collective/organization called MYÖS Ry. MYÖS is a Helsinki based DIY collective, party platform and co-care network for genre-fluid electronic music DJs, producers, organizers, party lovers and allies of currently underrepresented actors in the Helsinki club scene, and anyone in favour of a safer space to party in.
MYÖS collective consists of 45 people in the main group and working group is around 20 people. In this work, the author looked deeper into collective’s work, what was the current organizational structure and finding out things that have to be changed/implemented in the future. Need in this research appeared from past problems related to decision-making, not having a clear understanding about collective’s structure and roles, communications and fair work load in organising events. The research herself has been a member of MYÖS collective since their first meeting back in March 2018.
From this research, the author expected to find ways and tools on how to implement a better organisational model inside MYÖS Ry collective, grow empowerment inside the collective, develop a decision-making process which would involve each member’s desire, needs and interests. As a result of this research, the author aims to find tools to establish better organisational structure for MYÖS Ry collective which would reflect on ability to develop the quality of different things such as: produced content, both old and new members’ motivation and satisfaction, internal relations, external communications and all the components that relate to successful management. Maya Nepal Ry is a foundation which provides shelter, education and future for the orphan and homeless children in Nepal. It is registered in Finland. Many volunteer activities like restaurant day and charity sale happens in Finland and the profit is sent to children home in Nepal, without any deductions. Maya Nepal Ry had an existing website. The existing website had the problems with usability and the client was unsatisfied with their website.
The main aim of this Bachelor’s thesis was to overcome the pre-existing usability problem with the existing webpage. The Waterfall model was followed to develop this application. This process consisted of analysis, design, development and testing. For this application development I used tools such as HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript. Only the user interface was supposed to be done during this thesis project.
First the application was designed with a pen and a paper. Then the design was made by computer according to the client’s requirements. After the design had been approved, the development work was started. After the development work had been done, trial was done by inviting three test users. Feedback was collected from each test user and improvements in the web application were done. Finally, the UI (user interface) of the new application was ready. The end result was according to the plan
Oppaan luominen valmentajille : Strateginen kumppanuushanke Erasmus+ KA2
Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön aiheena oli luoda englanninkielinen jatkokehitettävä versio valmennusoppaasta valmentajille. Nuorten valmentamista käsittelevä opas sisältää tietoa valmentamisesta sekä tarjoaa mahdollisuuden valmentamisesta kiinnostuneille ihmisille kehittää tietämystään ja taitojaan valmentamisen saralla. Opinnäytetyön tilaajana toimi Muuramen Innola ry, jolla on yli 15- vuoden kokemus nuorten valmentamisesta. Opinnäytetyön tilaaja on yksi kolmesta kansainvälisen nuorisotyön Erasmus+ KA2- strateginen kumppanuushankkeen PiF-base International kumppaneista, jossa opinnäytetyöntekijä toimii hankeen yhtenä projektin johtajista Muuramen Innola ry:ssä.
Opinnäytetyön liitteenä olevaa englanninkielistä valmennusopasta jatkokehitetään hankkeen aikana valmiiksi tuotteeksi. Opas käännetään hankkeen aikana myös kumppanimaiden äidinkielille suomeksi, ruotsiksi ja romaniaksi. Opinnäytetyöraportti kuvaa miten opas ja oppaan sisältöä kerättiin toiminnallisesti. Toiminnallinen osuus tehtiin Romaniassa keväällä 2019 järjestetyllä koulutusviikolla ja aineisto koottiin yhtenäiseksi valmennusoppaaksi kevään 2020 aikana suomessa. Opinnäytetyöraportissa avataan nuorten valmentaminen- käsitettä ammatikseen valmentavien aikuisten haastatteluiden avulla.
Opinnäytetyössä luotua opasta voidaan hyödyntää yhteisöpedagogin koulutuksessa, järjestö- ja nuorisotyössä tuomaan valmentaminen ammatillisen nuorisotyön menetelmäksi vahvemmin sekä tuomaan tietoisuutta valmentamisesta kansainvälisessä nuorisotyössä.The topic of this functional thesis was to create a version of the coaching handbook for coaches in English that can be developed further during the project. The coaching handbook that deals with youth coaching provides information on coaching and gives an opportunity for people interested in coaching to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of coaching. The commissioner of the thesis was Muuramen Innola ry, which has more than 15 years of experience in coaching young people. The commissioner of the thesis is one of the three partners of the international youth work Erasmus + KA2 strategic partnership project, PiF-base International, where the thesis author works as one of the project managers in the project at Muuramen Innola ry.
The English-language handbook attached to the thesis will be further developed into a finished product during the project. During the project, the coaching handbook will also be translated into the mother tongues of the partner countries in Finnish, Swedish and Romanian. The thesis report describes how the handbook and the content of the handbook were functionally collected. The functional part was done during the training course held in Romania in the spring of 2019 and the material was compiled into a unified coaching handbook during the spring of 2020 in Finland. The thesis report opens the concept of youth coaching with the help of interviews from adults that coach others in their profession.
The coaching handbook created in this thesis can be utilized in community educator training, organizational and youth work to bring coaching more strongly as a method of professional youth work and to raise awareness about coaching in international youth work
Tapahtumajohtamisen kehittäminen : Ollikkala-messujen järjestäminen
Tämän opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Keski-Pohjanmaan Maaseutunäyttelyt ry, joka järjestää määräajoin Ollikkala-messut-nimellä tunnetun maaseutunäyttelyn. Ollikkala-messujen toimintaympäristönä on Keski-Pohjanmaan koulutusyhtymän Kannuksen toimipaikka, jossa tapahtuma järjestetään yhteistyössä oppilaitoksen kanssa. Tapahtumaa johtava messuorganisaatio koostuu sekä Maaseutunäyttelyt ry:n että oppilaitoksen henkilöstöstä. Messuorganisaatiossa oli tunnistettu tarve kehittää tapahtumajohtamisen osaamista, tavoitteena tapahtuman kehittäminen ja oppilaitoksen roolin kasvattaminen toisena tapahtuman järjestäjänä.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus suoritettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena. Tietoperustaa vahvistettiin myös havainnoimalla organisaation toimintaa sekä muita vastaavia tapahtumia. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa perehdyttiin tutkimukselliseen kehittämiseen, tapahtuman johtamiseen ja maatalousalan ajankohtaisiin trendeihin. Työn tutkimusvaiheessa hyödynnettiin kohderyhmittäin kerättyjä palautteita asiakaskokemuksista vuosien 2023 ja 2025 Ollikkala-messuilta sekä messuorganisaation tekemiä havaintoja tapahtumista. Asiakaskokemuksia analysoitiin sekä kvantitatiivisin että kvalitatiivisin tutkimusmenetelmin. Asiakaskokemuksia kuvaavista palauteaineistoista tässä työssä liitteenä julkaistaan vain numeeriset koosteet, sanallisten palautteiden jäädessä messuorganisaation ja kirjoittajan haltuun.
Opinnäytetyötä tehdessä havaittiin, että asiakaskokemuksia ja henkilöstön havainnointia voidaan hyödyntää johtamisen kehittämisessä. Yksilöiden vahvuuksien tunnistamisen, organisaation yhteisen tahtotilan sekä johdon onnistumisen viestinnässä ja vuorovaikutuksessa todettiin olevan menestyksekkään tapahtumajohtamisen perusta.The commissioning party for this thesis was Keski-Pohjanmaan Maaseutunäyttelyt ry, an association that periodically organizes a rural exhibition known as the Ollikkala Fair. The operational environment for the Ollikkala Fair is the Kannus campus of the Central Ostrobothnia Educational Consortium, where the event is organized in cooperation with the educational institution. The fair is managed by an organizing committee consisting of personnel from both Maaseutunäyttelyt ry and the educational institution. Within the organizing committee, a need was identified to develop event management expertise, with the aim of improving the event and strengthening the role of the educational institution as a co-organizer.
The theoretical part of the thesis was conducted as a literature review. The knowledge base was further reinforced by observing the activities of the organization and other similar events. The literature review focused on research-based development, event management, and current trends in the agricultural sector. In the research phase, feedback on customer experiences was collected from target groups at the Ollikkala Fairs in 2023 and 2025, along with observations made by the organizing committee during the events. Customer experiences were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. From the feedback materials describing customer experiences, only numerical summaries are published as appendices in this thesis; verbal feedback remains with the organizing committee and the author.
During the thesis process, it was observed how customer experiences and staff observations can be utilized in the development of leadership. Identifying individual strengths, establishing a shared organizational vision, and successful communication and interaction by the management were found to be the foundation of successful event leadership
Productisation of professional services. Case: Kymenlaakson Ensi- ja turvakotiyhdistys Ry
The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis was to productise a professional service provided by the client company, Kymenlaakson Ensi- ja turvakotiyhdistys ry. The aim of this study was to solve what factors need to be taken into account during the productisation process of a service to make it a successful and clear service product. The commissioner of this study was the executive director of Kymenlaakson Ensi- ja turvakotiyhdistys ry, Tiina Palviainen.
The theoretical part of this study covered the literature review of productisation of services. The study elucidates what the definition and objectives of productising is, what its benefits and challenges are and what the productisation process consists of. The study also covers information about professional services and service pricing. The data for this thesis were acquired from scientific publications such as books, articles and reports, as well as interviews, reports and manuals provided by the client company. For the empirical part of the study, the author planned and implemented a productising plan for a social service provided by the client company.
As a result of this project, the target service, Alvari-perhetyö® was productised into a form in which it could be introduced to Kymenlaakso area county decision makers when the health, social services, and regional government reform takes place on 1 January 2020. The productisation process includes service pricing, creating service modules, creating an information package in the form of a presentation and providing the client company information about productisation
